Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Technical Specialist, Enterprise. The primary focus of the role is to play a leading and strategic role in shaping and delivering Fauna & Flora’s work on enterprise development as a means for financing conservation and creating benefits for local partners, indigenous peoples, communities and other stakeholders across our global programme.

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your advanced expertise in business and entrepreneurship to solve conservation challenges. You will have extensive technical skills in the incubation and scaling of enterprises, including business strategy, facilitation of international market access and leveraging private sector partnerships. You will have work experience in the private sector, including purpose-led enterprises.

You will have demonstrable experience in market research and analysis, business plan development, financial modelling, business valuation, and investment pitch deck creation.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the proven ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to companies and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language.

You will be an excellent communicator and comfortable team leader and player, able to motivate task-focused teams to successful outcomes.  You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills. The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines will be a key attribute.  

You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification or equivalent professional experience in business, finance, economics or other relevant discipline. You should be passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills. You will have considerable experience of applying your skills to a conservation, development or natural resource management context in less developed countries.

Fluency in English is essential, and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of languages relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable

Fauna & Flora is part of Cambridge Conservation Initiative in the David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. You will be joining a diverse team with global responsibilities and the role offers the opportunity to work within a ground-breaking and entrepreneurial organisation, at the forefront of global conservation.

This position will be based in Cambridge with international travel as required to meet project needs.

Reporting to: Food Supply Manager

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.

Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.

These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.

Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.

The Role

This important role will represent FareShare Midlands and engage with the food industry in the Midlands, to develop and grow volumes of surplus food.

Using your account management skills you will manage existing and new business relationships, growing our supply base and ensuring rewarding and sustainable relationships for the partner. You will need determination and drive to work effectively with a wide range of businesses and organisations. The role involves working closely with the FareShare Midlands Food Sourcing Manager and FareShare UK Teams to strengthen our capability to source and accept more food. As well as managing existing food partners and spending time researching and contacting potential new local food suppliers in the region, the role includes researching and making new contacts and following up leads. By working closely with the FareShare Midlands Food Sourcing Manager we ensure coordination on management of UK wide food partner accounts as well as consistency of approach and delivery of national initiatives where appropriate.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Business Development and Relationship Management 

· Act as a point of contact for a portfolio of existing local food partners and the regional sites of selected National Food Partners

· Research and develop new relationships with food partners and food industry stakeholders across the Midlands.

· Build strong relationships and engage with food partners and stakeholders on a regular basis

· Meet existing and potential food partners to competently and effectively present the benefits of working with FareShare

· Engage with accounts to prompt donations of food through regular phone calls, emails and face to face contact

· Support food partners in identifying surplus food through carrying out factory ‘waste walks’ and engaging employees appropriately

· Work closely with the Food Team and the Supply Chain & Logistics Team to ensure any supply or account management issues are promptly and satisfactorily resolved

· Provide regular food partner impact reporting, case studies and recognition

· Capture feedback from our food partners about their relationship with FareShare 

Team Work and Reporting

·  Work closely with the FareShare Midlands management team to support delivery of the strategy and ensure effectively communication and team working.

· Work in conjunction with the Food Supply Manager and the FareShare UK Food Team to ensure smooth management of accounts which span the UK and the Midlands.

· Attend Regional Food Sourcing meetings and support the Food Team members and initiatives as required.

· Feedback to the team ideas for improving the existing processes and operations linked to the provision of food.

· Efficiently plan and undertake visits, planning your diary to use time and FareShare’s resources effectively to minimize travel time and expense while maximising potential opportunities during business hours.

· Work closely alongside regional sourcing colleagues across the UK and regularly attend regional sourcing team meetings.

Overview

The Operations and Systems Manager is a key role in the Operations Team and will focus on ensuring that our staff, all home-working and many based internationally, can engage positively with Global Dialogue’s operational systems and processes. The scope of the role covers IT and digital tools, digital security, data management, HR, insurance and travel, as well as the organisation’s equipment, and health and safety protocols.

Job Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and development of systems and processes that support Global Dialogue’s operations across a range of functions.
• Provide operational support to programme staff across the organisation as needs arise.
• Collaborate with Operations Team colleagues to improve cross-functional ways of working and play an active role in the development of projects that enhance Global Dialogue’s ‘offer’ to hosted programmes.

IT, Digital Security and Data Management

• Oversee Global Dialogue’s IT provision, managing the relationship with and acting as the main point of contact for our external IT support, as well as fielding programme requests and managing costs.
• Maintain an overview of Global Dialogue’s user accounts across SharePoint and other digital tools, ensuring pricing, licencing and permissions are effectively managed across all platforms.
• Maintain and develop Global Dialogue’s practice and policies in relation to GDPR, ensuring that they are applied across the organisation, and take ownership of the organisation’s SharePoint structure.
• Support the development of Global Dialogue’s digital security offer to hosted programmes, so that the organisation has the tools and infrastructure to respond effectively to associated risks/threats.

About the Role:

You will personally lead the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors at a high level (6- and 7-figure) which will primarily consist of HNWIs and Trusts and Foundations, and have a focus on identifying and developing new prospect relationships. We are recruiting for two staff positions to join our dedicated team of professional staff who deliver support for women and their dependent children, who are escaping domestic abuse through accommodation in one of our Pathway Project intensive support centres.

Working within a framework of support the post holder will be able to deliver social, emotional and practical support to individuals to support them on their journey to being a survivor. The ability to support clients in this circumstance is an absolute privilege and our clients deserve and receive the very best support the team are able to provide.

The postholder will join this supportive and caring team working a shift system  to ensure there is 24/7 support available in our intensive support accommodation based in Lichfield. This will involve working flexible hours, covering a rolling shift pattern which includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and overnight sleeping shifts.  The postholder will support clients by handholding and supporting attendance at external appointments as well as supporting their emotional and practical recovery. This is an incredibly challenging role which is immensely rewarding.

Access to transport and a full clean driving license is an advantage.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o To admit victims of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse, into one of our intensive support centres, as well as any children who may be in their care, and handle any subsequent emergencies in line with Pathway's standards and procedures.

o To provide advice and guidance to service users within the refuge and on the helpline.

o To keep and maintain accurate records with regards to service users. This paperwork will be consistent across both sites and will be subject to a monthly case review.

o To chair house meetings with service users.

o To provide support and advocacy to service users of the project, including transporting to and attending necessary appointments and court.

o To provide one to one support to deal with a variety of emotional and practical needs that service users may present with.

o To liaise with other agencies both statutory and voluntary, on behalf of service users, to enable them to access services.

o Representing Pathway and their service users at CAF’s, core groups and case conferences.

o To ensure that the cleaning rota is adhered to, and that accommodation is clean and all relevant equipment provided is maintained.

o To support management, or where necessary to conduct yourself, the delivery of disciplinary action. This may also include evictions.

o To ensure that service users abide by their license agreement and house rules and to make recommendations to management with regards to disciplinary action required where service users have breached their license agreement and house rules.

o To help review health and safety regulations and conduct fire drills.

o To maintain confidentiality and information sharing protocols in line with Pathway’s policy and procedures.

o To help with the resettlement of service users in the local community, to secure a successful transition.

o To assist service users with benefit claims and advice.

o To work closely with other support workers within Pathway and to ensure that service users have full access to all available services.

Essential Experience

• Formal qualification appropriate for the area of work or 12 months relevant work/volunteer experience. 
• Working knowledge of voluntary/statutory sector
• Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies relevant to women suffering domestic abuse. 
• Confident in dealing with multi agency work. 
• Ability to work with people and relate across a wide range of individuals and organisations. 
• Confident and assertive manner 
• Effective communicator bith verbally and written
• Reliable, confident and able to cope under pressure
• Non judgemental and accepting of others
• Ability to relate with empathy to clients
• Able to cope with emotionally charged pressurised work

Desirable Experience

• Good knowledge of welfare rights and legislation affecting this client group.

Role Summary

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to join the Causeway team. This person will be key in helping us to provide the safe and secure environments for the whole of Causeway. The role involves oversight of all Causeway facilities and ensuring Health & Safety practices are implemented and followed.

Responsibilities

• To work with accredited Health and Safety consultants to manage the health and safety and its implementation across Causeway properties and offices to ensure the welfare of staff, volunteers and service users.

• Line management of the Maintenance Coordinator and Facilities Administrator.

• To oversee the maintenance coordinators responsibility for planned and unplanned maintenance of properties, and their undertaking and/managing necessary works including repairs and improvements.

• To develop and maintain a planned approach to property maintenance and management that ensures standards are upheld.

• To liaise with and arrange work with landlords, where the necessary work being undertaken falls within their contractual obligations.

• To oversee internal health and safety and maintenance recording systems for all properties and to ensure all necessary works are actioned in a timely manner, working with the maintenance coordinator.

• To source suitable properties (accommodation or offices) to lease/rent when required ensuring they comply with contract stipulations and take a role in facilitating office/accommodation moves.

• To prepare and submit planning or HMO applications where necessary for change of use and/or refurbishment of properties.

• To set up and streamline maintenance contracts (e.g. gas/electricity/water/broadband etc), and to monitor and cap utility usage across properties (where needed and reasonable).

• To carry out and review health and safety assessments of the following aspects: (or to discharge the responsibility of these assessments when required)

• Accommodations and offices on a frequent basis to ensure properties are being maintained and run in accordance with sector and statutory guidelines.
• Organisation wide risk assessments, such as DSE, contractor activities.
• Implementation of new services.
• Events ran by the organisation.

• To keep up to date with Health and Safety Legislation and ensure and record compliance with procedures, including PAT Testing and Fire Safety.

• To carry out annual health and safety and fire inspections at properties and advise teams on actions that need to be taken.

• To execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines working in conjunction with key managers across Causeway regions.

• To prepare and embed policies to establish a positive culture of health and safety which focuses on service user quality of care and provision.

• To monitor and evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to relevant legislation.

• To recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.

• To report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics to the management team of Causeway. Including the producing of the annual Health & Safety report for the management board and board of trustees.

• To be the lead on Health & Safety matters in the organization.

• To be the main point of contact for The Salvation Army regarding matters relating to Health & Safety.

• Oversight of SAHA inspections.

• Oversight and updating of the Salvation Army related compliance and obligations, includes the PILF.

• Oversight of the implementation of the Health & Safety ISO as required by the MSVCC contract.

• Assist departments in completing risk assessments.

• Assist and advise on Health & Safety when new services are in implementation stages.

The Diocese is seeking a Church Building Support Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract, to work closely with parishes to help secure sustainable futures for some of our most historic and cherished church buildings. You'll help PCCs to identify and explore complimentary non-worship uses for their buildings, helping them to become vibrant and viable centres of mission and community life. You’ll support them in ensuring the church buildings are fit for the future, fostering greater community engagement, and developing long-term sustainability strategies.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a developing church buildings strategy, shaping the future approach to church building support within the Diocese. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to bring these strategies to life, ensuring that churches remain places of worship, community activity, and cultural significance.

This is a new fixed-term post funded by the Church Commissioners of the Church of England through their Buildings for Mission funding. The funding is for an initial period of twenty months, ending in September 2026, unless the funding is extended.

The main responsibilities of the Church Building Support Officer are:

• Work with Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) to develop community action plans that align with local needs.

• Support PCCs in identifying mixed-use opportunities for the church building

• Facilitate the building of strong relationships with local groups, charities, and other partners to promote the wider use of church buildings.

• Help PCCs in maintaining and developing their buildings to accommodate wider uses, and ensure they are kept in good condition

• Foster volunteer engagement, helping churches recruit for new roles and groups to aid long-term sustainability.

• Capture and share key lessons from pilot projects to inform future diocesan strategies.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding proposals, through to successfully managing relationships with funders.
