The East Midlands Team, who have been rated as Outstanding in their Ofsted inspection in February 2024, have a unique opportunity for either a  Supervising Social Worker who is ready to progress their career to a Senior Supervising Social Worker or a current Senior Social Worker who understands trauma and therapeutic parenting approaches. This role will give the successful Social Worker a chance to build on their skills and knowledge in providing support and supervision to our foster families based in the East Midlands area, to help them manage the complex needs of the children and young people in their care.

The main requirements of the Social Worker role are:

• Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee rough sleeper drop in from 8am – 10am weekdays at our Day Centre. Ensuring the rough sleeper drop-in service provides a welcoming and safe space within the resource centre, offering essential amenities like showers, breakfast, and food parcels to address immediate needs.

• Collaborate proactively with the Senior Tenancy Sustainment Officer (STSO) to engage, verify, and offer support to rough sleepers.

• Lead the assessment process for all new clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and strengths, to tailor support effectively. Maintaining and updating the referrals list, regularly checking on the welfare of clients alongside the staff team at our direct access service.

• Attend Rough Sleeper meetings with the STSO, led by the Rough Sleeping team from Woking Borough Council.

• Attend Streetlink reports and conduct town walks, actively engaging with the community and staying informed about local dynamics to better support clients.

• Maintain comprehensive notes on our database, Salesforce, to provide clear and concise information of interactions and outcomes for clients.

• Guide clients towards relevant services through informed signposting, empowering them to access resources and support, conducive to their individual journeys.

• Actively participate in the varied services provided by YRP, contributing expertise and dedication to the holistic support of clients and the community.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. The role:
This role will primarily focus on data-related tasks within our Forests campaign. The role also involves supporting the monitoring of media stories and publications relevant to the Forests campaign.

About you:
To be successful in this role you need to have experience in handling data in different formats and database management, ensuring data is accurate, reliable and delivered to a high standard. Proficiency in coding languages such as R, Python, etc is essential.
Ideally you will have experience in environmental and/or social issues and relevant regulatory frameworks plus experience in the NGO sector. Experience in creating data visualizations would also be desirable.

Job Title: Connect Membership Officer

Salary: £27,914 Per Annum plus £345 Home Working Allowance Per Annum

Hours & Contract: 16 Hours per week - Fixed Term Contract for 6 Months

Location: Homebased anywhere in UK with occasional travel to in person events

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake pivotal role as Membership Officer with Connect.  The successful applicant will have a strong administrative background with excellent customer service skills and time management.  As the first point of contact for Connect you will have a key role to play in promoting the services of the scheme and encouraging membership and engagement. Overall Duties of the Membership Officer will include:

• Being the first contact for promoting the benefits Connect Membership to potential members.
• Providing assistance and/or signposting for members communications and enquiries.
• Working closely with the Connect Lead and other internal colleagues create administrative systems and processes supporting membership.
• Data collection and analysis, requiring exemplary record keeping.
• Assisting with organising events and other membership activities.
• Supporting quality assurance processes within the Connect programme by establishing new and / or refining existing systems.
• To work closely with TACT colleagues to enable Connect's strategies and objectives.

Executive Director of Support & Wellbeing

You’ll be responsible, through the Chief Executive to the Board of Management, for the effective management of support and wellbeing services which includes all operational services across our client's organisation

You will also have responsibility for business development and fundraising, quality and performance, as well as landlord liaison functions within the charity - a property portfolio in the region of 260 units. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively with senior colleagues, Board Members and Charity Trustees.

Job requirements:

• Drive the strategic direction of the organisation, as part of the Executive Team, contributing to the development and delivery of the Group’s corporate plan and all policy formulation at strategic level.
• Demonstrate clear, determined leadership. With specific responsibility for the strategic direction of Revival, Glow and Concrete, you will lead on delivery of the business and growth strategy, budget management, contractual targets and requirements, as well as wider Group objectives.
• Ensure effective governance arrangements for Honeycomb Charitable Services, overseen by the Group Board.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the external operating environment both locally and nationally. Leading on broadening the Group’s partnerships across all areas of operation, in line with business objectives and growth ambitions.
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders. Influencing local strategies and seeking out or extending opportunities for innovative models of delivery to meet current and future needs.
• Proactively manage risks around safeguarding / safety of customers, and contract compliance, ensuring all staff are clear on their obligations to report any concerns. Ensure best practice is adopted in reporting internally to the Group Board and externally to bodies such as the Charity Commission.
• To be a dynamic leader and an active member of the Executive Team, liaising with the Board members, Chief Executive, and other Executive Directors on customer, housing and property related services.
• Lead on setting and managing the budget which includes annual rent and service charge reviews for Revival, Glow and Concrete (c.10m)

What they’re looking for:

• A degree level qualification or equivalent.
• A relevant housing qualification (secured or working towards) as outlined in the Competence and Conduct Standard consultation. Or a commitment to secure the qualification within allowed timescales.
• Extensive experience of operating at a senior management level or director level in health, social care, charitable or a relevant support field.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and a commitment to continuous learning for self and others. Significant experience of strategic leadership and responsibility for delivery of care and support services.
• Demonstrable track record and evidence of developing and winning business to achieve growth and sustainability in support services.
• Experience of working in the social housing charity sector preferable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with other leaders and managers. Be self-aware, emotionally intelligent, and able to work with, lead and project manage across all teams at all levels.

About the role:

This role is co-located within Charing Cross Hospital 4 days per week and 1 day per week at our office near Old Street. As an IDVA you will:

• implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
• work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.

You will need:

• knowledge of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic abuse
• an understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management
• an understanding of safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people
• good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal when interacting with a range of agencies & people
