Job Vacancy – Regional Adviser

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an experienced, proactive and customer focused adviser to support the work of the wider Advice and Support team

The post holder will be responsible for the Midlands area plus other areas as required with an expectation of completing in person visits across the allocated counties.  The role therefore requires access to your own vehicle and to reliable broadband. A car allowance and mileage will be paid on top of the salary.

The right candidate will enjoy and excel at building relationships and supporting individuals and families in distress and in times of need using skills and experiences to give clear information advice and guidance as well as supporting with applications for a charitable grant.  Experience of  managing their own diary and workload as well as  significant experience of working in an educational, health or social care environment is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role along with the ability to show empathy.

IT equipment and a company mobile phone will also be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.

Please note that whilst this is a remote role, there is a significant in person requirement that means weekly travel across all areas of the allocated counties and an initial expectation as part of the induction to attend the London office.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.

Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. Their main purpose is to visit and contact members of the Masonic community to determine their needs and to help them to access support from the MCF and other relevant agencies. Support is provided through a combination of home visits, telephone calls, or video calling.

Main responsibilities

• Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:

• Face-to-face visits, video conferencing and in-depth telephone calls are required to provide extensive and detailed support.
• Production of accurate and comprehensive reports detailing agreed plans and all relevant supporting documents

Your new role

We need a dynamic, innovative and driven lottery administrator curious about data, and passionate about using data to solve problems.  You will have an excellent knowledge of relational databases and be experienced in importing, selecting, analysing and validating large data sets.

Responsible for all administration of the St Christopher’s monthly lottery, you will help grow our lottery donors with accurate and efficient data entry and timely report production. Working with the Individual Giving Manager you will ensure full compliance with all Gambling Commission and other regulatory regulations.

This is an exciting time to join as you will have the opportunity to work with the wider teams to build supporter journeys to create long-term loyal supporters.

This role is crucial in assisting with the implementation of HR policies and supporting the HR team and managers in delivering the overall HR operations and strategy. After an initial onboarding period, the role can offer some flexibility, working on a hybrid basis, (approximately 3 days a week at their central services based in Fareham or in services as needed).

As the first point of contact for managers and staff on HR-related queries, you will provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

The West Yorkshire team is based in central Leeds offices however, there is the opportunity for hybrid/remote working. The job is a full-time, position with frequent travel required across the West Yorkshire Region to deliver tuition.  All reasonable travel expenses on Tutor Trust business will be reimbursed (not including your regular commute from home to the Tutor Trust office).

The Enhanced Support Service is a multi-disciplinary team who provides person-led, long term support to people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs. People eligible for the service are identified/ referred from The Connection Community (our wider group of service users regularly accessing our day centre). The team have small ‘caseloads’ and support the person from street homelessness to a new home with a community of support.

You will have substantial experience in delivering a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are street homeless.  You will be excellent at building and strengthening trust in relationships. You will be a problem solver, with a positive attitude towards change and service development.

You will also have the personal credibility to build confidence in the wider community and across partnerships.  You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the relationships with a commitment to embed coproduction into The Connections services.

We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region providing support, training and education to create suicide safer communities.

What you will do:

Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.

Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision  of tailored support, training and education.

Deliver training and awareness raising products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers and other trainers.

Contribute to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with strategic plans.

Record, monitor and report on data to evaluate our projects and demonstrate impact.

Represent the charity at events including conferences, panels, working groups and through media channels as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities

A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience

Experience of using your own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work

Excellent time management skills and ability to manage a diverse workload

The ability to travel to different locations across London and the South of England to attend meetings, events and deliver training.

Salary: £29,269 per annum (NJC Scale SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (NJC Scale SCP 23). As this is a London-based role, the post-holder will receive an additional Cost of Living Allowance which is £5,000 per annum.

Hours: 36 hours per week  

Location: London (7-9 Bream’s Buildings, London, EC4A 1DT) with travel across the South of England

Contract: Permanent

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called 'honour' based crimes such as forced marriage.

Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.

About the role

With expansion plans over the last few years at Women and Girls Network (WGN) and increase in the Executive Senior Leadership team, we are excited to be adding to the team with this hire of an Executive Assistant and Clerk to Trustees to join and support in making an impact in everything we do!

The position of Executive Assistant & Clerk to Trustees will directly support the two CEO’s (Clinical & Development), Director of Finance & Resources and Director Services; they will also act as Clerk to the Board of Trustees.

We are seeking an outstanding administrative professional, who has directly supported CEO and Director level professionals previously in non-profit sector role. You will be highly organised, with a meticulous attention to detail and able to hold confidentiality to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive and bring a positive energy to work.
