At Chapel View we support a number of individuals to live independently in a supported housing environment. We also support clients living in the community in and around Kendal and the South Lakes area. We work a two shift system covering the hours between 9am and 8pm, Recovery Workers will work every other weekend between 9am – 5pm. The rota is based on a four week fixed basis. We are CQC registered for personal care although most of our current work is classed as support work rather than care work. We are a small team, as a Recovery Worker you will work with all of our clients and at the same time you will be a key worker for selected clients.

But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Adelphi Court is a mental health, supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. Our service is partially staffed between the hours of 09:00 and 21:30, with a mixture of shifts to cover service delivery. You will be required to work every second weekend.

My client is well-known brand operating in the UK charity space. They are the charity that steps forwards to keep people safe and save lives.

With a very diverse income stream, they are currently looking for a Group Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to support them through a very busy period.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead manage and develop the organisation’s planning and budgeting process including monthly consolidated management accounts, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycle.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Elgin and the surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum pro-rata.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home. 

The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers. 

Role functions: 

• Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
• Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role. 
• Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise. 
• Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.

Working as a member of the Day Service and Therapy team, you will provide evidence-based, compassionate, person centred care to patients living with a life limiting condition.  You will focus on patient’s goals using empowerment, enablement, and self-management to maximise their wellbeing.

You will need a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience and be a good all-round communicator, able to deal with sensitive situations and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings. Where you’ll be based

The base location for this position is negotiable, with full remote working / home working a possibility. However, if you prefer working in office, we have Field Studies Centres throughout the country which you are also able to work from. We will also consider hybrid working options.

There may the occasional need to travel to meet with, colleagues, prospective funders and other stakeholders. We expect this to be limited, no more than once every 2-3 months.

You will be passionate about our charity’s mission and understand the importance of Environmental Education.

It’s essential that you have experience working in a fundraising role or department. We need an experienced individual who is confident to write and submit successful fundraising bids to trusts, foundations and businesses.

You will also have experience creating and managing successful supporter journeys to optimise our donations, particularly legators.

As a natural at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will be able to tell compelling stories to encourage individuals and organisations to support our aim to connect people to nature.

The YUVA service supports young people aged 11-18 who have used violence or abuse toward family members or intimate partners. Our behavioural change programme works to help young people identify their abusive behaviours and develop healthy coping and communication patterns.

In this role, you will provide a range of admin support to the team which will include taking and managing referrals into the service, keeping database and client records, facilitating room and interpreter bookings and attending, contributing to and taking minutes at team meetings.

Enthusiastic and keen to develop, you’ve got good communication skills and a professional telephone manner as well as experience of maintaining computer databases. It goes without saying that you are able to prioritise a busy workload and work to deadlines and you’ll be keen to work within an organisation that works both with young people who use abuse and families who have experienced domestic violence.

On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will be renamed to reflect the new organisation.

JRF’s Insight and Analysis team produces high-quality, original and actionable JRF analysis about poverty issues. We draw on a range of data sources, commissioned research and work with partners with lived experience of poverty to better understand what’s happening, why, and what can be done to solve poverty.

The role offers the opportunity to undertake original and creative analysis to shed new light on poverty-related issues, as well as offering a professional analytical perspective across the wider organisation.  The role involves designing the approach, identifying requirements and leading a range of innovative analytical work to meet JRF’s priorities.

You will take responsibility for leading the analytical input into one of JRF’s priority policy themes – helping to shape our policy arguments and propositions – for example, the previous post holder has focussed on deep poverty and leading the work on our flagship UK Poverty report.

This post sits in the organisation’s Insight and Analysis team, reporting to the Chief Analyst.

The Lead Analyst would be expected to generate ideas for new analysis, using a range of data sources, to support JRF’s mission – informing our policy & ideas work and our campaigning, media and advocacy activity. They would be responsible for leading and managing significant pieces of work – as well as supporting the growth and development of other members of the team.
