They will drive the strategic development and delivery of our income generation (currently c.£1m pa) and marketing and communications work, working with established and new partners.

The postholder will lead a small, multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with the CEO, SMT and others across the organisation to acquire and retain the funds, volunteer and pro bono resources needed to deliver and grow our work. 

We are seeking a talented Programme Officer to join our expanding Research team. We encourage a passionate individual who would like to work full-time or part-time to apply for this up to March 25, fixed term role with us.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Research team and make a real difference. The Academy’s Research programmes support excellent engineering researchers, based in UK universities and institutions, working in partnership with the UK industry to drive innovation.

The role

Your main role will be across the research grant schemes, contributing to programme activities according to the Academy’s business need. We are looking for someone who can run both efficient application and selection processes for grant schemes and help build and maintain engagement with a community of awardees. You will play an important role in making sure that grant recipients have a strong, beneficial relationship with the Academy, and each other.

This maternity cover post is ideal for someone who is keen to develop existing policy skills as well as build external affairs and communications experience. The role provides the opportunity to join a small agile team at the Council of Deans of Health, the representative body for the UK’s university faculties engaged in education and research for nursing, midwifery and the allied health professions.

We are looking for someone with a broad skill set including experience in developing policy, strong interpersonal skills, good organisation, and clear written communication. The successful candidate will be able to balance varied tasks and provide support to colleagues in the Council of Deans of Health team.

Main responsibilities:

• Support the development of Council policy with a particular focus on research policy.
• Monitor, analyse and evaluate policy developments, producing briefings, position papers and consultation responses.
• Liaise with members on both a formal and informal basis to develop and test policy priorities and positions.
• Represent the Council of Deans of Health to external stakeholders, building effective working relationships with a range of organisations.
• Contribute to the effective external communication of the Council’s policy work, including working with the Council’s communications lead to draft press releases and political positions.
• Help facilitate the meetings of nation, regional and strategic policy groups online and offline including travel across the UK.
• Contribute to other areas of the Council’s work as appropriate including project coordination and cross-team working.
• Undertake any other such duties or general tasks and hours of work as may reasonably be required.

The Council has an office in Woburn House, central London although all staff are currently working in a mixed home/office working model. We are looking for a talented Policy Officer to join our team to support the development of influential evidence-based policy advice that shapes the UK government’s approach to developing, maintaining and governing the infrastructures and technologies that will take us into the future.

The economic and social challenges we face are increasingly complex and connected. To inform the development of impactful policies, we work across sectoral and disciplinary boundaries to collate evidence from innovators, researchers and business leaders at the forefront of their fields, partners in the National Engineering Policy Centre, a partnership of the UK’s 42 professional engineering organisations, and seek to build public listening into our work.

The role

This role would be joining the Digital and Physical Infrastructures policy team, one of three thematic engineering policy teams alongside Climate and Sustainability and Health and Resilience. The team develops expert advice on how to develop, maintain and govern the infrastructures and technologies, providing an engineering perspective on UK policy priorities. Working across the team’s current projects on the sustainability of artificial intelligence and ageing infrastructures and building on work in autonomous systems, data sharing and the built environment – this role is about supporting the delivery of high-impact policy projects by bringing diverse experts together across disciplines and clearly communicating the evidence, insights and advice in engaging ways.

The role

We are recruiting for an Interim Head of Diversity and Inclusion for a period of up to one year to provide maternity cover. This is an exciting and high-profile role, working externally across the engineering profession and internally across the organisation. As Interim Head of the Diversity and Inclusion, you will lead a team of skilled and dedicated diversity professionals and steer the course of our portfolio of programmes and activities.

You will report to the Executive Director, Programmes, providing oversight and leadership across the whole portfolio of activity. This includes:

• Our Industry activity supporting the promotion and embedding of inclusive cultures in engineering businesses. These include inclusive engineering leadership programmes, D&I toolkits and resources, inclusive recruitment programmes and more.
• Education support, including our Higher Education Diversity Impact Programme supporting higher education institutions to support D&I approaches and develop a community of practice to facilitate learning and sharing of ideas across the wider engineering higher education sector.
• Our diversity and inclusion research programme which provides insightful and rigorous research to identify barriers to achieving our goals and informs actions and recommendations on diversity and inclusion.
• Our work with professional engineering bodies to embed diversity and inclusion.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

The Minerva London service provides holistic, trauma-informed support for women in touch with the Criminal Justice System. We do this through offering dedicated one to one support, safer women’s centre spaces and specialist interventions and partnerships.

To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.

You will be working in a supportive, friendly, and welcoming team whilst having oversight of a caseload of women, who may be under the supervision of the National Probation Service or in custody, enhancing the offer of holistic support and advocacy services available to them throughout their journey.

Building relationships with other statutory and non-statutory agencies in local communities is vital to build referral pathways and provide a whole system approach to supporting individuals.

To carry out this work you will meet women in the community in your designated borough and co-locate with other agencies including the National Probation Service, as well as regularly attending Advance’s North London vibrant Women’s Centre/office space.

You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder and has good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions.

The Food & Beverage Outlet Manager is a key role within the UWLSU Commercial team, who are changing the way they engage and support students at The University of West London Students’ Union. Digital Transformation Project Manager – 1-year FTC

This is very much a hands-on role, key to supporting the Head of Digital and wider Digital team with day-to-day project management of the website revamp, as well as helping us introduce new digital platforms, processes and skills. Initially the role will work with a cross-functional project team, key stakeholders and our digital agency to research, redesign and redevelop the website, looking to relaunch in early 2025.

Are you a skilled and knowledgeable fundraiser who can help us secure the funding we need to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the education they are legally entitled to?

We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious fundraiser who is keen to develop their skill set across the fundraising mix and looking for an opportunity with strategic input. Making applications to trusts and foundations to secure grant funding will be the key focus of the role, so you will need to have a successful track record in either trusts and foundations or corporate fundraising with extensive experience of bid writing and stewardship. However, we are keen to develop other income streams over the next few years, particularly corporate partnerships and community fundraising so we are looking for someone who is interested in broadening their expertise.  

You will be stepping into a role with an established funding pipeline as we have secured a number of multi-year grants. 

You’ll work closely with IPSEA’s CEO and members of the wider management team to identify opportunities, develop relationships and compellingly communicate the need for, and impact of, the work we do.

We are looking for a fundraiser eager to take the next step in their career by joining us and becoming our Advancement Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you'll support the Head of Philanthropy and the established Advancement team across key fundraising priorities. Your previous experience with managing executives/senior volunteers will contribute to supporting the Director of Advancement in managing the activities and priorities of a volunteer-led fundraising board. 

This is a pivotal new position created to contribute to a significant uplift in UWC International’s fundraising and prospect identification efforts in support of the new UWC Endowment and a future campaign. Your work will support the strategic and tactical planning and operational effectiveness of UWCI’s fundraising programme and the strategic development of global UWC funding priorities.
