Job Summary

The Reward Specialist provides specialist advice and guidance as well as development and maintenance our total reward approach, including pay, reward and recognition. The post holder is responsible for leading and guiding on a modern and fair approach to pay and reward whilst taking a progressive approach to external market trends. They will ensure we have a competitive employee value proposition with a reward and recognition practices to support the attraction and retention of talent.

About You

To be successful in this role, you need to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C / 4) including Maths & English, minimum 5, CIPD Level 5 qualified or relevant experience, experience in Implementing reward strategy, practices and new initiatives, Undertaking salary and benefit benchmarking activities and able to build effective relationships both internally and externally with the ability to influence and challenge.

Integrative Counsellor/Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist role

We’re delighted that Sheffield City Council, as part of the national Family Hub and Start for Life Programme, commissioned Light to provide a perinatal mental health peer support intervention, providing also the opportunity to develop our internal pathway to counselling/therapy support and enhance the clinical leadership within the service.

We are able to support more people who are affected by emotional and mental health problems during pregnancy and the postnatal period, and/or are facing parent - infant relationship difficulties.

You will have day-to-day clinical responsibility for our counselling/therapy provision, building on the provision already in place. You will work towards achieving a responsive high quality and clinically robust service. Working closely with our PNMH Peer Support Co-ordinators you will implement and operate an internal care pathway for our service users who meet the criteria for counselling/therapy services. You will undertake comprehensive initial assessments and provide a small team of volunteer qualified and trainee counsellors with clinical leadership and supervision.

You'll be based at our main hub in the city centre.

Mind's Partnerships Fundraising team - part of the wider fundraising directorate - is responsible for generating income from major donors, charitable trusts and foundations, the statutory and corporate sectors. The Corporate Partnerships team raised £7m+ in 22/23.

The New Corporate Partnerships team is comprised of a head of team, two lead managers, two senior officers, two officers and one assistant.

The New Corporate Partnerships team has been at the forefront of securing some fantastic partnerships for Mind such as, Allianz, Bupa, Co-op, Direct Line, ITV, McLaren Racing, and McVitie's, to name a few. Our partnerships cover the spectrum of partnership types; strategic and Charity of the Year partnerships (COTYs) and brand and commercial partnerships. You will help us build on our success.

In these unprecedented and challenging times, Mind is and will be needed more than ever. Our corporate partnerships play a huge role by helping us, raise income to achieve our strategic goals and adding value to businesses and society through our partnerships, including raising public awareness and reaching new audiences.

Mind employs over 300 staff and we have a team of volunteers. Most staff are based in Stratford, London, there is an office in Cardiff and there are a number of dispersed staff working across England and Wales. Mind is formally moving to a hybrid working model combining a balance of home and office based working.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

-Support your line manager to implement the Corporate Partnerships team New Partnerships strategy.

-Support pipeline development and creation of partnerships, including making proactive approaches, developing and stewarding relationships, submitting proposals, supporting on pitches, while working with various teams across Mind.

-Have an individual financial target which will support the overall New Partnership income targets.

-Work collaboratively and creatively with the team and across Mind to develop sector leading pitches and proposals.

-Lead and assist with the design of new partnership agreements with companies to ensure that expectations from both parties are met and the interests of Mind are looked after, and risks are mitigated.

-Work with colleagues across Mind to identify the potential and manage the risk in new partnerships, ensuring that Mind's ethical policy and charity legislation is adhered to.

Employment Details

 Contract type

This contracted post is for 28 hours per week and may very rarely require some out of hours or weekend work as required.  We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.

Location

We support hybrid working to suit our team. When in the office, the post holder will be based at Russia Lane but some travel across east London may be required to meet the needs of the service.

Salary 

Between £31,930 and £35,020 pa pro rata for part time.  Plus 5% employer pension contribution.

We have recently introduced a salary bands system. This salary range refers to the lowest and top steps of the grade. Salary will progress every year until the top salary is reached.

Holiday entitlement

25 days (pro-rata for contracted hours) of paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. • To support the charity in the development of a climate action strategy

• To identify funding opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally that will contribute to the development of Islamic Help’s climate strategy including corporate and institutional markets.
