• · Provide free resources that help people garden at home, reducing the risk of poor health, and helping people to garden with specific long-term health conditions or disabilities.

• · Are the leading Social and Therapeutic Horticulture training provider in the UK, helping organisations, health and social care professionals and teachers deliver STH.

• · Advocate for access to STH services and are actively working to remove the barriers to the use of STH. within the UK.

  Thrive is an independent charity, primarily funded by donations, trusts and grants, paid for services and local authority funding. This role is based in England, it can be hybrid or office-based with some national travel and overnight stays. Please do get in touch to discuss.

About the role:

• With a growing awareness of the benefits of time in nature and gardening we want to realise opportunities to grow our impact. This role will lead on the identification and progression of income generating activities, working with colleagues to raise funds and enable the delivery of our charitable services.

·You’ll have a key role in making connections that lead to the growth of our Training, Education and Consultancy work. You’ll oversee our fundraising and philanthropy teams, guiding our skilled managers and teams as they work to strengthen Thrive’s financial sustainability. You’ll work closely with our Head of Marketing and Engagement to help us reach new audiences and grow our impact.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in leading business development through B2B contracts in the charity sector or have been overseeing a successful fundraising team. You’ll be someone who progresses work, an excellent communicator and collaborator, skilled in building sustainable partnerships that add value.

About the role:

The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. · Manage, review and update Drinkaware’s lines to take; its ‘boilerplate’ messages and its standard responses.

· Advise others on Drinkaware tone of voice and brand to help ensure all content leaving the organisation is on brand and enhances our reputation.

· Contribute to feeding media and strategic communications activity into the organisational planning process and overall plan.

· Contribute to key reference documents (organisational key messages; editorial guidelines etc)

· Deliver compelling content and plans to Drinkaware’s stakeholder audiences. Working with internal teams to target funders and other stakeholders including health professionals, police, local government and academics.

· Maximise our profile with B2B audiences via trade publications; social media and news outlets.

· Keep Drinkaware staff informed about Drinkaware coverage and other relevant coverage around alcohol and alcohol harm.

· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and journalists and build a positive network with media counterparts in Drinkaware partners and stakeholder organisations.

· Work with Drinkaware colleagues to maximise our communications’ reach and ensure we are working in an efficient and integrated way.

· Work with the Head of Media and Communications to develop Drinkaware’s reputation positively across all media, mitigating reputational risk and leading on crisis management

You will have a track record of working within a similar role. You will have experience in working in a press office, devising and delivering stories and coverage. The PR and Media Officer is responsible for developing and delivering PR activities to ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media and the public. A primary objective is to establish and raise the profile of KCLSU across media – trade, local and national. 

Working in a small team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering successful media campaigns and daily management of media enquiries, always in line with KCLSU's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Raise KCLSU's profile, creating an understanding among key audiences by presenting the Student Union's core messages and services in specialist and mainstream print, broadcast, online and digital media.
2. Develop strong relationships with journalists/press agencies in both mainstream and Higher Education media.
3. Work with student officers and colleagues to achieve high-quality media coverage and public awareness for issues of importance to KCLSU.
4. Support and deliver PR and Media campaigns which align with KCLSU strategy.
5. Collaborate with student newspaper ROAR to promote upcoming events and other relevant KCLSU news.
6. Explore fundraising opportunities through media coverage.
7. Assist the communications team in written and verbal communications.
8. Monitor KCLSU's PR activities with periodic reports to the line manager and Head of Communications and Digital.

About the role

Breast Cancer Now are excited to recruit the new role of fundraising compliance officer to support its growing fundraising ambitions. As our fundraising compliance officer, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fundraising and marketing activities meet the highest standards in an ever-changing regulatory landscape, to mitigate potential risks for the charity and to maintain the trust of our supporters.

The varied role will work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues from across the charity. No day will feel the same, as you provide expert advice and assurance on a diverse range of fundraising products and marketing communications, this includes TV ads, prize competitions, social lotteries, and direct marketing campaigns. The role will work closely with individual giving team and our professional fundraising agencies to assure we are meeting our compliance commitments.

About you

The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.

The ideal candidate will have some prior understanding of charity fundraising and the needs of working in an assurance role, but training can be provided.  Prior knowledge some data protection legislation and fundraising regulations would also be beneficial, such as the data protection act, fundraising code of practice, CAP code, gambling commission code, and HMRC gift aid rules. You will also be self-motivated and have an eagerness to learn and develop in line with the ever-changing regulatory landscape and the charities needs and goals.  

Ideal attributes of a candidate include an analytical mind, with the ability to review information, ask questions and make informed decisions to support the charity to meet its objectives, whilst also mitigating unnecessary risk.

You will be an approachable, confident and clear communicator, that can adapt your communication stye to a verity of audiences in order to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner, that is both educational and builds productive relationships with colleagues.

Excellent organisation and IT skills are also essential tools of a potential candidate, as the role will require effective task prioritisation to manage an active schedule, record management of compliance registers and folders, plus the analysis and production of detailed guidance procedures and reports.

As we expand significantly, we seek a passionate and skilled Senior Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser to join our growing Fundraising and Communications team.

You will play a pivotal role in UK-Med's ambitious growth strategy, building our private income through developing a new strategic corporate partnership plan, working to identify and reach out to national and regional corporate partners as a new income stream.

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will take the lead on researching, prospecting, cultivating and stewarding corporate supporters to not only vital secure financial support for UK-Med's work but also create collaborative, strong, mutually beneficial relationships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the largest Chamber in the UK, with over 5000 members. What will you be doing?

Reporting into the Deputy Director of Communications and Fundraising, this is a fantastic opportunity to establish and strengthen Hft’s relationship with politicians, policymakers. As Policy and Public Affairs Officer you will monitor parliamentary activity, consultations and policy developments to inform Hft’s campaign and communications activity.

The role is varied, often working with multiple and complex priorities, using the insight gained through public insight to inform integrated campaigns that raise awareness of the critical issues and the needs of people with learning disabilities.

You will be confident at building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, with a core understanding of UK political systems and processes, and how public affairs and campaign tactics operates.

If you have the ability to identify the news angle in any story, provide strategic advice on key reputational and media issues, to influence our campaigns and help build our voice of authority, we would like to hear from you!

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role 

As Crisis’ Media Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health.

Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. At Crisis we always champion the voices and experiences of the people who we support. You’ll help create bold and hard-hitting news stories to engage our audiences and bring to life some of our biggest organisational campaigns, like our annual Christmas appeal. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build relationships with key journalists. 

About you 

You will have: 

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist. 

• Experience of supporting with or delivering impactful media campaigns or stories that have helped secure quality coverage in national and regional news outlets, as well as softer consumer features.

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging copy for a range of audiences, including political, consumer, tabloid, trade and everything in between. 

• Experience of working with case studies, identifying and preparing stories for the media and empowering people to share their experiences.

• Strong news sense, with a good working knowledge of the UK media, including digital media production, with experience of creating digital first coverage and amplifying campaign messages creatively in the digital sphere.

We are looking for a Catering Manager to join our team who can inspire and empower Companions, through support and training, to create healthy and nutritious meals both in the Community Kitchen and in our Café @ Emmaus. They say an army marches on its stomach and that is certainly the case here at Emmaus.The Community Kitchen provides hot meals and salads for Companions, staff and volunteers and the Café @ Emmaus serves home-made fare for our visitors.

The successful applicant will be part of the management team, led by the Chief Executive and will have key responsibilities within that team. We are looking for someone with a passion to take our Café and Community kitchen to the next level by
offering excellent home made food prepared by Companions using ingredients grown here on site. A friendly nature is a must as well as experience working with different dietary and allergy requirements.

You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do.
