JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Manager, Partnerships role makes a vital contribution to our objective to bring about transformative change for children. The key focus of this role is to secure income generation from Trusts, Foundations and Institutional Funders. The team is set to raise over £3.2 million in 2024 and has ambitions to grow this further in future years.
As Senior Manager, Partnerships you will identify, cultivate, secure and steward major gifts from existing and prospective donors who can support Lumos, usually at the five or six figure level. In your role you will build and foster positive relationships with grant-making organisations and institutions (bi-laterals and multilaterals), providing excellent stewardship and account management and drafting compelling and comprehensive proposals and reports.
You will work with colleagues and stakeholders in the Fundraising and Engagement Team as well as across our global organisation, including the Executive Leadership Team, Programmes Team, Country Teams and our Board of Trustees to effectively cultivate prospective partners, support existing partnerships and prioritise and progress opportunities.
KEY OBJECTIVES
Income generation:
• Pro-actively research and cultivate relationships with donors, especially Trusts, Foundations and Institutional Donors.
• Work with the Head of Partnerships, Director of Programmes, Chief Executive, Country Teams as well as existing supporters to maximise their networks and introduce new partnerships to Lumos.
Relationship management and stewardship:
• Provide exceptional relationship management and execute tailored cultivation and stewardship plans for prospective and existing donors. • Develop high quality communications for donors, including proposals, reports and stewardship materials.
• From time to time, represent Lumos at events and meetings to grow our network of supporters and contacts.

The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.
WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. You may have had experience organising and hosting special events for stewardship and cultivation, but this is not essential.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service skills with a background in major donor, relationship fundraising, direct marketing or a similar role working with High-Net-Worth Individuals.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Confidence soliciting and securing four and five figure gifts from prospective donors, both verbally and in writing.

As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.
You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Lottery to develop and implement a strategic approach to expanding our reach, reducing attrition rates, increasing income and enhancing brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
- Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
- Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
- Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
- Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
- You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:

Overview of the role
The postholder will be responsible for our events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
What you will do as part of our team
Strategic Planning
- Work with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and the other Fundraising Managers to refine and develop our established fundraising strategy to maximise income from events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships against an annual target.
- Develop our annual programme of events, including cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, whether virtual or physical.
Events Management
- Overall responsibility for the design, planning and implementation of all Glass Door events, including our flagship fundraising event, the Sleep Out in the Square, and our annual supporter thank you event.
- Conduct an evaluation after each event, considering its successes, factors which could be improved and any recommendations moving forward.
- Oversee the Fundraising Officer as they support with the co-ordination and implementation of events.
- Ensure health and safety is at the core of all event planning and implementation.
- Manage our challenge events portfolio and identify new opportunities which could increase Glass Door’s income
Corporate Partnerships
- Pitch for corporate support including commercial partnerships, charity of the year relationships and sponsorship.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, working with companies where the focus is on employee fundraising and volunteering, cause related marketing and/or pro bono support.
- Develop a Corporate prospect pipeline, reengaging lapsed donors from our database, and identifying new prospective partners.
Community Fundraising
- Oversee our work with community groups, supporting the Fundraising Officer, ensuring we provide necessary stewardship, support and guidance.

Policies and regulation

Role Summary
