About the role
The digital team at Breast Cancer Now is transforming how we present our information and services to people affected by breast cancer.
We’re looking for a digital project manager to plan, deliver, track, and communicate key projects that drive our digital transformation and support cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you’ll manage both large-scale programs and cycles of continuous improvement, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and our product, UX, content, and digital transformation teams.
You will be central in project delivery and oversee agile practices, ensure effective project governance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
About you
You’ll have significant and demonstrable experience of digital project management within an agile framework. You’ll be highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to inspire, organise and motivate others to work together to achieve defined outcomes.
You’ll be able to manage a demanding workload with a strong attention to detail and solution focused mindset. You’ll ideally have experience of working in the charity or public sectors.

About the role
We’re looking for a case study officer to join our talented and ambitious press, PR and celebrity team.
The successful candidate will support all elements of the charity’s case study function including recruiting and engaging new individuals with the charity who are willing to share their personal experiences of breast cancer to support our work and managing and nurturing key relationships day-to-day so they have the best possible experience when supporting the charity.
A key element of the role will be supporting colleagues in the press, PR and celebrity team to identify and seize opportunities for case studies to share their experiences to raise awareness of breast cancer, Breast Cancer Now and how we’re here for anyone affected by this devastating disease.
You’ll will work with teams across the organisation to support them in sharing the voices of people affected by breast cancer through their work. Liaising closely with colleagues to understand where case study support is required, you’ll identify the people who, through sharing their personal experiences, can best support activities to deliver on charity objectives. Key to this will be gathering the relevant insight and identifying ways we can engage case studies with our work in a way that’s mutually beneficial.
About you
You’ll have a good understanding of issues impacting people affected by breast cancer. With this you’ll have an awareness of, sensitivity to and ability to adapt to their changing needs and circumstances and how this might impact their ability or wish to support the charity’s work.
When engaging individuals with sharing their story to support us, you’ll approach this work with professionalism, sensitivity and care at all times, being sure to identify opportunities bring about mutual benefit for both parties.
Handling sensitive information appropriately at all times is key to this role, and requires you to have a knowledge of GDPR regulations and a commitment to[VS3] following Breast Cancer Now’s compliance and confidentiality regulations. You’ll also be proficient in using CRM tools to store and record interactions and sensitive data relating to supporters.
A strong verbal and written communicator with high levels of organisation, you’ll be prompt in responding to supporters and colleagues appropriately and with clear and accurate information. You will also be a quick learner and work well as part of a fast-paced press, PR and celebrity team.

Grief Encounter is a mid-sized national bereavement charity. Joining us as our HR Advisor will give you the opportunity to work as a true HR generalist, with a range of duties from recruitment and on-boarding to running internal training for our staff team and co-ordinating our volunteers.
This is a busy role, reporting to the Head of HR. We are looking for someone with HR experience, who is CIPD qualified, attentive to detail and who can work well with a minimum of supervision. Ideally, you will also be someone who is willing to get involved in all aspects of our work: That could mean standing in a wet park shouting encouragement to our sponsored runners or helping organise an office social event.
The role is currently full time with the opportunity to work up to two days per week from home. Consideration will also be given to part time working, depending on experience.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
- Provides advice and guidance in response to internal and external HR related enquiries or requests for help/information.
- Maintains and updates HR database (including records of sensitive data) in accordance with GDPR principles. Produces statistical reports on key HR metrics, as required for monitoring purposes. (Headcount, turnover, diversity, absence etc).
- Supports the Head of HR in updating staff policies in line with changes in employment law and drafts guidance notes for approval. Ensures agreed policies, procedures and guidance notes are appropriately shared within the Charity.
- With guidance from the Head of HR, supports managers handling performance improvement, grievance and disciplinary issues, including collating information and conducting investigations as required.
- Takes notes at meeting as required. (HR Forum, Staff Consultation Group, Disciplinary Hearings, Grievance and Performance meetings).
- Assists with ongoing review of terms and conditions, benefits etc. researching and making suggestions for improvements within available budget.
- Manages the HR Admin inbox (for job applications, general queries, requests and possible complaints). Alerts Head of HR to any issues or complaints.
- Collates invoices and receipts etc. in relation to HR expenses, as required, to ensure timely payment by Finance team.
- Participates in ad-hoc HR projects.
Recruitment:
- Advises hiring managers on recruitment processes and best practice. Sources candidates, assists in shortlisting and responds to candidates as required. Produces offer letters and contracts for successful applicants.
Employment Checks:
- Manages DBS clearance process and other ‘right to work’ checks for new and existing staff, volunteers and contractors, including insurance and qualification checks. Manages referencing process.
Volunteers:
- Manages the recruitment of volunteers and maintains the volunteering database. Assists with the allocation of volunteers to appropriate activities. Generates reports on volunteer numbers and activities for senior management and for funding bids.
On-boarding:
- Prior to start date, coordinates with the Charity’s external IT support company to ensure all new hires will have appropriate equipment and file access when they commence work. (Employees, and freelance contractors).
- Organises induction programme for first two weeks of employment including setting up meetings with key staff (CEO, Departmental Directors etc.), conducting office orientation and familiarising staff member with health and safety, payroll and HR policies and proceudures etc. including mandatory staff training.
- Reviews and updates on-boarding processes as needed.
Training:
- Manages the Charity’s Educare system and reports on mandatory training compliance across the Charity.
- Designs training sessions/briefings on HR policies and procedures for approval by Head of HR. Organises and runs sessions for staff, including ‘Lunch and Learn’ and drop in advice sessions.
- Assists Departmental Directors with arrangements for external training, as requested.

About the role
Are you passionate and knowledgeable about delivering training in AI and keen to apply your skills to lead a purpose-driven project?
Media Trust is looking for an experienced programme manager to lead on the delivery of a pioneering new programme. You will be empowering charities and under-represented creative talent, helping them gain AI skills to bridge the growing AI divide and prevent marginalised communities from being further excluded or disadvantaged.
The programme will provide AI essentials training to two of Media Trust’s key beneficiary stakeholder groups: (i) small charities advocating for and supporting marginalised communities, and (ii) talent from under-represented backgrounds working, or aspiring to work, in the media and creative industries.
Media Trust will be partnering with one of the world’s leading tech companies who will deliver the training for the programme – we expect a formal announcement of the partnership in late November.
You will be responsible for designing the delivery calendar and managing the launch and delivery of this ambitious programme, which will run from January to December 2025. You will also manage the MEL (measurement, evaluation and learning) processes for the programme and produce a quarterly progress report for the programme funder.
You will provide insights and learning from the programme to help Media Trust design new AI-related and other digital skills training programmes for charities and/or creative talent from under-represented backgrounds.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) is seeking a skilled and inspirational CEO to lead our charity through the next stage of its development and the continued delivery of our core mission of improving the lives and wellbeing of men (and women) through the Men’s Shed movement across the UK.
We are looking for a Chief Executive with the energy, vision and experience to take on the strategic leadership and direction of our well-respected and fast-growing national charity, which brings tangible benefits to men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention across the UK. Our new CEO will be a proven and exemplary strategic leader, who will head our mission, guide the team, represent our charity with partners, funders and politicians, and support the Shed Movement we exist to serve. As the Senior MEL Officer in the MEL team, you will support the Head of Impact & Learning and the MEL Manager, as well as the Programmes & Impact department and wider team, to measure and analyse the quality and impact of our programming. Key responsibilities
Main obligations
- Support the development and implementation of MEL systems and tools across Mentoring and Entrepreneurship projects, providing the Foundation with the necessary information to understand our impact and inform programme improvements.
- Support in collection and analysis of organisational KPIs and provide overall operational support for the MEL team.
Specific responsibilities
- Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Ensure up-to-date programme monitoring and evaluation materials (surveys, data collection tools and theoretical frameworks) are in place for existing programmes as well as those that are in development.
- In collaboration with colleagues in the Mentoring and Entrepreneurship teams, execute the annual calendar of programme and partner surveys, including uploading and testing the surveys.
- Develop analysis plans aligned to key research questions, programme goals and logical frameworks.
- Collect, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative programme data aligned to programme goals, logical frameworks, organisational KPIs, and general summaries of findings.

Main purpose
The Business Manager is a member of the school’s senior leadership team and is responsible for managing the strategic operation of the business functions of the Southover Partnership, including compliance, financial management, health and safety, human resources, premises, IT, and general administration.
The successful candidate will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the Southover Partnership to operate effectively and efficiently, and which allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.
Duties and responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
· Under the direction of the Executive Headteacher (EHT), lead on all financial matters in the Southover Partnership, to enable successful financial performance and to ensure financial decisions are clearly linked to the Southover Partnership’s strategic goals
· Oversee recruitment processes and procedures
· Attend all senior leadership team meetings and report to Trustees where appropriate
· Allocate resources in line with the Southover Partnership school improvement plan and carry out long-term resource planning that reflects the school’s 5-year plan
· Take all decisions in line with the vision and values of the Southover Partnership, and encourage others to do the same
· Oversee and implement a marketing plan for the Southover Partnership, which utilises the Southover Partnership website, signage, the prospectus, and communications with current and prospective parents in collaboration with the EHT and Heads of School

Compliance
· Manage the Southover Partnership’s compliance with statutory obligations including the SCR, and advise others on the relevant legal, regulatory and ethical requirements

Financial management
· In partnership with the EHT & SLT, create and manage the Southover Partnership’s budget and forecast future years’ budgets ensuring it is balanced, realistic, represents an effective use of funds and enables the EHT to make strategic, long-term decisions
· Submit the budget to the Trustee Board annually, & provide and present financial reports at least termly for the Trustees, providing insightful information to aid short- and longer-term decisions, including the consideration of financial risks
· Monitor the budget all year round, by providing monthly management accounts and reports to the EHT, advising where revisions or changes are needed, annotating all material variances and taking actions to rectify negative variances
· Manage day to day financial operations, including cash flow, invoicing, debt collection, payroll, payments and other transactions
· Ensure spending on petty cash and company cards is within the limits of the finance policy. Oversee the reconciliation of these accounts
· Review all monthly postings as part of the month end process, calculating and posting cut off adjustments e.g. accruals, prepayments and deferred income
· Deal with any customer and supplier account queries that have been escalated by the team
· Authorise supplier BACS payments and ensure all other external payments (e.g. PAYE and pensions) are up to date
· Comply with financial reporting requirements and submit statutory returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House
· Prepare accounts ready for audit, liaising with the auditor to ensure a prompt sign off of the annual accounts
· Oversee the Southover Partnership bank accounts on a day-to-day basis, ensuring money is banked, invoices are paid promptly, money owed is collected, and clear records are kept
· Lead on procurement processes, managing tenders where appropriate, conducting due diligence, benchmarking and evaluating suppliers, negotiating deals and ensuring value for money
· Ensure the effective and efficient operation of staff involved in finance, delegating tasks to finance/administrative staff where appropriate; in particular, bookkeeping tasks, Local Authority contract management and resource ordering, to ensure best value
· Ensure that where applicable, Gift Aid is claimed on all charitable donations
· Maintain a strategic financial plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the Southover Development Plan and will help formulate future year budgets
· At least annually, review calculations of fees and charges made to local authorities and schools to ensure they are appropriate and financially sound
Fundraising
· Investigate and recommend potential funders and funding streams to EHT and Trustees and follow up as required
Human resources
· Manage the Southover Partnership’s payroll provision with the payroll provider and approve monthly payrolls, ensuring all staff are paid correctly in a timely manner
· Manage day to day administration of the Pension scheme re starters, leavers and ad hoc forms, updating pension provider with monthly payroll contributions
· Ensure that recruitment, appraisal, disciplinary and grievance policies are administered in accordance with employment law
· With the EHT, conduct reviews of the Southover Partnership’s staffing structure to ensure effective deployment of staff and financial efficiency
· Ensure compliance with all relevant aspects of employment law including employment protection, equal pay, minimum wage, Working Time Directive, pensions or discrimination on the grounds of sex, race or disability
· Act as the EHT’s adviser on employment matters, including disciplinary procedures and ensure that the Southover Partnership has appropriate disciplinary and grievance procedures. Liaise with the external HR adviser where appropriate
· Participate in the recruitment of staff and handle related administration. Be responsible for ensuring the recruitment procedures are in line with Partnership policies
· Ensure that all relevant staff have contracts of employment including variations and maternity leave arrangements. Keep the Southover Partnership 's standard contracts & terms and conditions of service up-to-date as new legislation takes effect
· Lead on and monitor the effective use of staff access to support, counselling, Occupational Health and Education Support services both internally and externally in accordance with the Partnership policies and procedures
· Work with members of the Partnership Leadership Team to ensure that staff development needs are identified and that appropriate programmes are designed to meet such needs
Health and safety and facility & property management
· With the EHT, supervise the maintenance of the Southover Partnership’s sites
· Supervise the Facilities, Site and IT Officer to ensure Southover Partnership’s compliance with health and safety regulations, and put in place processes and procedures to ensure the safety of all in the Southover Partnership
· Manage the Facilities, Site and IT Officer to:
· Ensure a safe, properly maintained and secure environment on all sites for the stakeholders of the Southover Partnership in which safe and effective learning can be provided
· Ensure the supervision of relevant planning and construction processes is undertaken in line with contractual obligations
· Ensure the continuing availability of utilities, site services and equipment
· Monitor, assess and review contractual obligations for outsourced services
· Ensure ancillary services e.g., cleaning, etc., are monitored and managed effectively
Office administration, IT & management information systems
· Keep records in accordance with the Southover Partnership’s record retention schedule and data protection law, ensuring information security and confidentiality at all times

· Attend and support the Finance and Governance sub-committee and full Trustee Board meetings & ensure that the administrative support for school governance is carried out to a high standard

Job description
Following a restructure, DMI is looking to recruit a Grants Management Officer. This new role will provide a critical link between DMI’s national teams, HQ staff, and donors. It is an ideal role for somebody wanting to work in international development / public health as you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks and will work across all of DMI’s projects. You will also have exposure to DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, a new committee that aims to exploit the knowledge and experience of our national leadership. More specifically, the Grant Management Officer role will include the following responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Head of Operations, collating, revising, and submitting project reports to donors and other stakeholders. This will require regular collaboration with DMI’s national teams (who will typically draft the reports) and other staff at DMI HQ
