Job Purpose:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to generate relevant, compelling content to share with our digital key stakeholders.

• Develop communications to support the advocacy activities of the organisation to engage existing and new supporters.

• Work with our Programme Teams in the UK, India and Tanzania to anticipate, research, develop, and write stories, adapting them to excite diverse audiences across a wide variety of media as we campaign for the rights of street connected children.

• Utilising our own evidence and data, create newsworthy stories and content that amplify the voices of street-connected children in the UK, Tanzania and India, engaging with both existing and new supporters.

• Create inspiring multi-channel content and messaging, directly linked to achieving our strategic aims and to showcase the impact of Railway Children’s work and influence key eternal stakeholders.

• Generate inspiring content that will attract a new, broader pool of supporters who are invested in making Railway Children’s vision and mission a reality.

• Use the latest available technologies and techniques on social media to amplify our voice by attracting and recruiting new supporters who share our values, beliefs and mission.

• Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Content Manager to ensure that all of our content and messaging is optimised for search engine ranking and keyword activity.

• Develop relationships with relevant media in the rail / transport sector to share our communications.

• Work alongside the Strategic Content Manager to ensure that our key messaging and call to actions are always coordinated, aligned and implemented into wider organisational communications, including Fundraising Campaigns.

• Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to generate and optimise content for Railway Children’s digital communication channels (website, email and social media) that engages and influences key audiences to support our vision and mission.

We are now seeking to add to the growing department through the newly created position of Legacy Manager. This role will focus on promoting and administering legacies, working with potential and existing legacy givers and helping to ensure legacies left to the Royal Ballet and Opera are administered sensitively and recorded robustly.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for executing the charity’s Corporate Partnership strategy. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Yorkshire Programme Manager has responsibility for the development and delivery of our community programmes in West Yorkshire, with a particular focus on Batley, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike.

At present, this is focussed on leading our Bridging & Belonging project, which aims to co-produce a vision for the future of Batley, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike. We expect that the insight that we produce from this project will determine the direction of our community programmes in West Yorkshire over the coming years.

Working with the project’s Community Group, you’ll support them to deliver a series of community events that capture the issues, needs and skills of the community and identify the action that the community wants to see.

As the project draws to a conclusion, you’ll play a key role in planning our future work in West Yorkshire, in conjunction with the Head of Community Programmes, and will provide information and support for grant applications for this future work.

ABOUT THE BRIDGING & BELONGING PROJECT

We know from our work in West Yorkshire that community members want to connect with each other, influence change, and use their ideas and skills to benefit the community. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, this project aims to facilitate this through a series of community events and activities in Batley, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike. These events will explore the themes of community, place and belonging, and will help us create a shared vision for the future of the area.

This project has already been established, so you’ll start with an in-depth project plan in place and a small but engaged Community Group made up of people from across Batley, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike and surrounding areas. With them we have started planning for the first three community events. You’ll also get support in running this project from a Project Officer and our Head of Community Programmes.

Through your leadership of this project over the next 12 months, we will:

• Grow the Community Group to around 15 people

• Support the group to plan and deliver a series of community events across Batley, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike. These events will be for anyone with a connection to the area to connect, listen, and share stories on the themes of community, place and belonging.

• Support the group by organising and facilitating regular meetings, identifying any skills needs they have, and sourcing / providing training where relevant.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who is motivated and positive about making change happen in the area. You need to be happy to work as part of a remote team, but also have the confidence and ability to work independently and on your own initiative. 

You’ll have a deep understanding of, and experience of engaging with, communities in West Yorkshire, particularly Batley, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, and experience of facilitating group meetings and workshops in creative and engaging ways. This project has already started, so you’ll also need an ability to digest information and build relationships quickly.

You’ll have strong project management skills, and ideally experience planning and delivering events. Experience working with Steering Groups and reporting to funders will also be helpful.

Lastly, you will have strongly held personal values which align with The Jo Cox Foundation’s vision and Jo’s ‘more in common’ ethos. These will be reflected in your respect for others and the desire to make a truly positive contribution through your work.

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for driving forward CBM UK’s digital fundraising, growing our online presence and directly contributing to the success of our fundraising efforts.

The position holder is the digital fundraising lead responsible for the coordination, development, delivery, and testing of stand-alone digital fundraising projects, and (where appropriate) support and integrate with offline activity and wider fundraising and communications campaigns. 

Using technical knowledge and expertise, and working closely alongside colleagues in the fundraising and communications team, in particular the Senior Communications Officer and Marketing Officers, the position holder will lead on all stages of digital fundraising campaigns from conception to implementation and evaluation. 

We are looking for someone with knowledge of digital fundraising and experience of developing new and innovative digital campaigns. Candidates should have experience working alongside agencies and freelancers to co-ordinate, review and monitor digital acquisition activity and experience of setting up and sending mass marketing emails.

Child Bereavement UK helps children and young people (up to the age of 25) and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

Their mission is to tackle the inequalities that exist in the availability, accessibility and quality of bereavement support and training across the UK and to build capacity within communities to manage the impact of child bereavement.

In addition to supporting families experiencing bereavement, the charity also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

As Philanthropy Officer, you will join a passionate and collaborative Fundraising Team, working closely with the Head of Corporate, Philanthropy & Events and other CBUK departments. With support, you will take personal ownership of a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects, contributing to the charity’s Major Donor strategy. You’ll be part of a supportive team that fosters creativity and teamwork, working together to secure essential funding that directly impacts the lives of bereaved families across the UK.

We are seeking someone creative and analytical who has strong research, administration, relationship management and database skills, and who can provide excellent donor stewardship.

As Philanthropy Officer, you will: 

• Identify and research new potential major donors supporting a team income target c.£1.5m
• Manage a portfolio of major donor relationships at 4-5 figure level
• Develop donor cultivation and stewardship plans
• Implement a patron and celebrity stewardship plan

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Fundraising experience from core income streams such as major donor, corporate or trusts and foundations
• Experience of prospect research and preparing donor materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Managing records using CRM systems like Raiser’s Edge

Operations and People Manager reporting into the Head of Finance and Operations.

£32,000 - £43,000 FTE (dependent on experience and qualifications) Full time, permanent. 9.30am-5.30pm (flexible) Contracted to work at WC1A. This is a largely office-based role with flexibility for hybrid working where possible. 

Are you a dedicated and organised Operations and People Manager able to oversee the smooth running of the operations and foster a positive, productive workplace. This dual role requires a balanced blend of operational expertise and people management skills, with the goal of supporting organisational growth while maintaining a culture of collaboration and innovation. The Operations and People Manager will play a key role in coordinating daily activities, optimising resources. • At least 5 years’ operations management experience, with proven people management experience.
• Educated to undergraduate degree level.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

• Demonstrable experience of actively contributing to continuous improvement.

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager to lead innovative income-generating strategies within a charity that is committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire.

Salary: £37,336 per annum, pro-rata

About the Role:

As the Fundraising Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing diverse income streams to support the charity’s work. You’ll lead efforts to develop partnerships, secure grants, and innovate new fundraising initiatives. With a focus on both corporate and community engagement, you’ll help ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability. Working closely with the CEO and managing a small team, you’ll oversee strategic campaigns and bid submissions, while ensuring effective stewardship of relationships with key funders and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead innovative income-generating initiatives, including social enterprise and community fundraising

About You:

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent analytical skills to assess opportunities and maximise ROI.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in corporate fundraising, grants, and trusts
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication for bid writing and relationship management
• Knowledge of UK fundraising regulations and best practices
• Experience in managing marketing and fundraising budgets

Due to the nature of this role you will need a full UK driving licence, access to a car and ability to travel across Shropshire for meetings and events.
