Key accountabilities:

Alumni Programme Research & Development:

- To assist with the identification of and engagement with the wider alumni community

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. The Digital Data Manager reports directly into the Head of Fundraising and plays a lead role in driving income generation through strategic management of data. You will also be developing team skill and expertise to ensure a joined-up approach to data.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding Programme Manager to oversee the management of an exciting new Bengo-funded project piloting an innovative approach to overcome poverty as the primary barrier to education through the development of community-based savings groups. Working closely with Street Child’s national partner, the role holder will support the effective implementation of adaptive programming through hands-on support to implementation teams. Based in Freetown, the role-holder will travel frequently to project locations to monitor progress.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Street Child Germany team to ensure compliance to donor requirements and prepare accurate and timely donor reporting. The Programme Manager will also support the development of Street Child’s growing portfolio of German government, trust and foundations, and corporate funding in Sierra Leone, and wider West-Africa region, contributing to proposal writing, report writing and communications materials.

Knowledge of the German language and experience with Bengo compliance requirements would be a distinct advantage.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1) Programme Management – 50%

• Work in collaboration with partner management to ensure quality and timely implementation of programme activities.
• Work alongside the implementation team to provide strong hands-on support in programme delivery and MEAL approaches, identifying and addressing challenges and blockages.
• Work closely with implementation teams to improve data analysis and learning, supporting the development of remediation plans where necessary.
• Alongside colleagues, provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.

We are looking for a Development Manager to join our fundraising team in the Development, Alumni and Campaigns Office at UEA. This Autumn we will be launching our new £100m fundraising campaign and we wish to appoint an individual who shares in our passion for philanthropy.

You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic fundraising team where you will be personally responsible for managing a portfolio of individual relationships. You will cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects (this includes holding regular face-to-face meetings) to secure significant donations towards our themes of Climate, Health, Creative and Campus.

Degree-educated or with equivalent qualifications/experience. To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and demonstrable experience of a high level of achievement in fundraising or relationship management. Job Description

Quality Assurance

• Deal with external and internal enquiries
• Work closely with Industry Engagement and Partnership team to deliver industry-led (external) accreditation in a timely manner
• Lead the materials ordering process, including the distribution of certificates and badges to regional offices and external partners
• Take the lead on external partner feedback surveys, student data requests and observation reports, working with partners to ensure their completion and return

The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is looking to recruit an Operations Adviser for a Maternity Cover for up to 1 year. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation and management of UKHIH research and innovation workstreams.

Managed by the Head of Operations, the role works closely with colleagues across UKHIH and Elrha to manage a portfolio of key relationships, grants and service contracts to a high standard. The role also supports essential UKHIH operational functions, including coordinating communications, managing convening activities, and contributing to broader organizational and operational development processes and strategy.

Your application will need to demonstrate: 

• Experience of grant and contract management including managing procurement processes, preparing grant agreements and service contracts, and quality assuring delivery and payment plans. 
• An understanding and interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.
• Experience of developing and maintaining a contacts database.
• Proven ability to provide advice and guidance relating to operational capacity building, including effective operations, grant management and the development of business cases.

You will have experience in implementing new and/or successful improvements to existing systems and processes, with a track record of driving organisational change.
