The Postgraduate Diploma in Children and Young People’s (CYP) Psychological Trainings: Therapy is one of the national CYP Mental Health (CYPMH) workforce development programmes, funded by NHS England. This stems from an established programme with an existing team that has run successfully since 2011 when the CYP-IAPT initiative was first introduced and a service transformation programme began, aimed at improving existing CYPMH services.
The Programme Director will lead on the management and operational delivery of the programme, which includes delivering and developing the programme in line with the NHS England National Curriculum, whilst also ensuring it is in compliance with evolving University College London (UCL) academic governance and quality assurance and enhancement frameworks. Our Postgraduate Studies (PGS) department is made up of several other Programme Directors, Deputy Programme Directors, teaching staff and operational support staff, who all contribute in fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment and excellent student experience.
We are seeking a mental health professional with experience of curriculum design, assessment and programme organisation within an Higher Education context. You will demonstrate experience of working in CYPMH services, leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-culturally in relation to clinical practice. A commitment to delivering high-quality standards in teaching and assessment, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for trainees to enhance student experience is significant for this role. The successful candidate will be an experienced systemic psychotherapist with a background in CAMHS and/or a social care service. IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE
This role will involve designing the 'Missing Employees' service, encompassing the scoping and structuring process, becoming the subject matter expert for the charity, and developing their menu of support to be able to offer casework support and guidance to organisations and individuals affected. This will involve working directly with adults at risk who are missing or who have experience of being missing.
You will develop guidance, policy and learning and development in this new area for the charity. Service development
• Scope requirements for the service by working with the project steering group, identifying gaps in existing service provision and working with teams across the charity.
• Work with the Head of Service Development to design the service, including structure, design capacity, resource needs, KPIs and delivery methods.
• Develop the charity's expertise around employment law regarding missing, including policy and impact of those affected.
• Work closely through co-production with families, adults who have been missing and companies who have experienced a missing colleague, seeking feedback, sharing their experiences and developing the service and tools it needs.
• Build relationships with organisations and steward them to become financial supporters of the charity.
• Work with the Business Development Team and Corporate Fundraising team to create user journeys for companies from advice to financial support to the charity.
