Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on the delivery of interactive activities with volunteers from the world of work aimed at schools and young people for key funded partners. Alongside event facilitation, the role manages and coordinates delivery of activities to meet agreed KPIs, leading on planning, scheduling and delivering various showcase virtual and face-to-face events and activities.
Remuneration: £27 - £30k per annum depending on experience
Additional Terms: 30 days paid holiday, exclusive of Statutory Holiday plus competitive pension scheme and a volunteering allowance of up to 5 days . Additional family friendly benefits including enhancements to Statutory Payments.

Job purpose
Working closely with the Partnership Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the delivery of interactive activities aimed at schools and young people under key funded projects for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. These programmes leverage technology to raise the aspirations and broaden the horizons of children and young people by connecting them to a huge range of volunteers from the world of work via career related learning activities.
The Partnerships team are responsible for relationship management of the key corporate and charity partners for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. Partners cover a range of sectors and employment areas and our employer partnerships provide partners employees with the opportunity to engage with schools, and reach many children and young people across the UK, both virtually and in-person.
The Partnership Events Lead will be able to manage and coordinate delivery of activities to meet agreed KPIs, leading on planning, scheduling and delivering various showcase virtual and face-to-face events and activities ensuring engagement from schools, employers and volunteers.
Overseeing event delivery – both physical and virtual, this role will have end to end accountability for event management, from coordinating with the schools and volunteers, event briefings, to planning and delivering the event – speaker selection and liaison, school registrations, co-ordinating event logistics and venue management, on-site and virtual delivery, post event feedback and communications etc.
This role will work on partnerships including but are not limited to the Department for Transport’s Inspiring Aviation Campaign, Maritime UK Ambassadors, NHS Ambassadors and events associated with employer partnerships such as Bank of America, Tritax Big Box, Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and others.
Exact brief to be finalised with the successful candidate but the role will be expected to:
- Work closely with the Partnership Manager role to lead on planning and delivery of any funded projects and activities
- Work to engage employers and volunteers through special activities on funded projects
- Track and report back to Partnership Manager on delivery against agreed targets
- Host and support delivery of CPD sessions, webinars and occasional face to face meetings with stakeholders and schools directly to help them with engaging with these projects and delivering presentations at group meetings and conferences.
- Support development of resources, guidance and tools for employers, volunteers and schools in effectively engaging with projects and programmes
- Responsible for on-site and virtual logistical arrangements as well as audio/visual requirements
- Responsible for general communication with volunteers and schools about the events
- Collect feedback and data after each event to measure its impact, and use this information to complete an event summary report for partners to gain insights for future events.
- Attend and host occasional events to support the running of special events and to undertake brand ambassadorial activities events
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage relationships with volunteers, teachers, and school leaders, ensuring records are up-to-date, recording event data, and supporting data cleansing as needed.
- Develop relationships with partners and stakeholders, new schools, promoting the full range of the charity’s programmes and services and assisting them with registering for the charity’s Inspiring the Future programme
- Keep on top of key trends and topics in employer engagement and careers related learning for schools
- Support the Schools Team with engagement, event coordination, and project delivery, while collaborating to share best practices and promote active platform use in schools.

- Proven experience in relationship management, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with schools, colleges, and partner organisations at all levels, including headteachers and senior management.

- An articulate and confident communicator with a proven ability to facilitate and host events in diverse environments, including schools, colleges, and corporate settings. About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Fundraising and Partnerships Manager
Job Purpose: To develop fundraising proposals and raise funds from trusts and foundations. To raise funds for Action Village India through our trading activities and events.
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: £30,000 pro rata
Hours:21 hours per week (equivalent to 3 working days) – ideally including Wednesday and Thursday.
By agreement there is an option to work an additional 11 events days over the full year. This is related to WOMAD and our other events. This is revised annually based on the agreed workplan.

Contract: Permanent, pending a successful 6-month probationary period

FUNDRAISING
1.1 Fundraising Management and Donor Liaison:
- In line with Action Village India’s project funding priorities, research and develop fundraising proposals for new and ongoing projects to be submitted to major donors, trusts and foundations as well as other appropriate sources.
- Keep up to date spreadsheets and databases tracking donor deadlines, the status of applications and reporting deadlines.
- Ensure that material from partners for monitoring reports is developed as needed and work to ensure that reports are submitted as required and to agreed deadlines.
- Support the Executive Director with fundraising and reporting to individuals and trusts.
1.2Events
- Plan and manage, in collaboration with the Action Village India team, the events for the year
- Attend Action Village India fundraising events (evenings and weekends as agreed with the team)
- Attend WOMAD festival and support the Action Village India team with the successful running of the Action Village India stall and presence at the festival.
1.3 Individual Giving
- Planning and delivering our regular appeals and engagement communications.
- Develop new ways to engage our supporters’ base and grow income from Individual Giving products.
- Build engaging journeys to retain existing supporters and develop more supporters.
1.4 Communications and Development Management
- Create communications content that inspires supporter engagement and promotes loyalty.
- Contribute relevant material and content to Action Village India newsletters.
- To design and produce communication materials – Annual Report and Appeals
- Supply project information to support appeals to individual donors, and at public events including WOMAD; co-organise the exhibition at WOMAD.
- Work with partners to generate engaging communications and marketing materials about the progress of their work, including visual content.
- Work with partners to generate material on which to base awareness-raising and educational work in the UK, where appropriate.
- Manage the creation of the organisation’s content, for example, leaflets, webpages and annual reports.
- Work closely with the Communications and Administrative Assistant to support the creation of social media content and other customer relationship material, ensuring this feeds directly into the Communications Strategy.
- Support the Executive Director in monitoring and assisting with formal progress reports to funders, and any other work based on the organisation’s requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE
- Ideal minimum of three years proven experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, events and individual giving.
- Proven experience in writing project proposals and reports for funders.
- Proven success in raising funds from trusts and foundations in the UK, working alone or perhaps as part of a larger fundraising team.
- Experience co-organising events and fundraising activities.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
- Knowledge of Trusts and Foundations and institutional fundraisers particularly in the UK.
- Knowledge of the international solidarity and development landscape and/or familiar with funder processes, databases and requirements.
- Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards in the UK.
- Ability to produce high quality written project proposals, narrative and financial reports and communications materials for a range of audiences.

Job Purpose: To keep our office functioning smoothly. This is a multi-faceted role working closely with two other members of staff. This is a great opportunity for an organised self-starter who is interested in getting more experience in international development and the charitable sector.

Hours: 14 hours per week (equivalent to 2 working days) – ideally Wednesday and Thursday.

Contract: 24 months fixed contract with potential for permanent contract thereafter

1 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Office Management
- Oversee the day to day running of the office, including communication with enquirers and supporters.
- Ensure office is compliant with Health and Safety requirements. Ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
- Ensure resources, IT and communication equipment is appropriate and available for staff and volunteer needs.
- Maintain office equipment, stationery and supplies.
- Be the point of contact for the landlord and any other tenants in the shared building.
1.2 Finance (record keeping)
- Managing Petty Cash
- Recording financial expenditure and income from events for the book-keeper
- Recording donations both online and offline
- Maintaining records by keeping the scanned copies of receipts and payments in the designated files both offline and online.
- Any other record keeping work as agreed with the Executive Director.
1.3 Administrative support to Fundraising events
- Administration of sponsorship fundraising events – registration of runners/riders/walkers and their donations.
- Helping set up donation pages for sponsorship online.
1.4 Communications
- Using online tools to design and distribute Action Village India’s e-newsletter.
- Uploading information on Action Village India’s website.
- Maintaining and servicing the donor and members’ database.
- Correspondence with supporters and donors.
- Production and printing of leaflets, advertisements and maintaining records of appeals.
- Distribution of mailings for appeals, newsletters and to our membership – including email groups.
- Managing all donations to the organisation, including CAF, standing orders, Just Giving and other internet sites and correspondence with individual donors.
- Any other administrative and communications work based on the organisations’ requirements and as agreed with the Executive Director.
1.5 Information Technology
- Maintaining IT equipment including updating anti-virus software.
- Maintaining Action Village India’s filing systems (hard copy, soft and back-up files).
- Liaison with Action Village India’s website designer/manager, editing and uploading documents and photos to website.
- Managing email accounts.
- Managing our telephone and broadband accounts.
1.6 AVI Activities
- Management of office-based volunteers as agreed with the Executive Director.
- Booking rooms and other support for Action Village India’s trustees’ meetings, AGM and other events.
2 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

PERSON SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE
At least one year of office management and administration in a small company or organisation within the voluntary or community sector or social impact space.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Management of volunteers.
- Liaising with various stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills face to face, on the phone and by email.
- Ability to work alone and use own initiative to develop systems, and deal with practical situations as they arise.
- IT skills and experience at a level that supports email, database, social media and use of basic excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to stay focused and efficient in the face of changing priorities and multiple demands, and to deliver work in a timely manner.

CPAG is looking for a welfare rights expert to manage our Early Warning System.
With a new government in place this is a great time to join the Advice and Rights Team at CPAG as we look to influence policy makers and parliamentarians and support the advice sector in delivering a fair and comprehensive social security system in the UK.
The Early Warning System (EWS) collates evidence of long-term concerns and developing issues within the benefit system, from the advice sector and beyond. EWS evidence is used to develop and promotes improvements to the benefits system with our colleagues in the Policy Team, as part of our work to end child poverty.
The EWS officer will actively promote the EWS, encouraging contributions from advisers and claimants. The EWS officer will record and analyse case studies as well as the issues which arise on our advice services, to provide insight on the impact of changes to the benefits system and evidence for our campaigning and research work.
You will play a key role in responding to calls for evidence and consultations, and liaison with the DWP and other policy makers. You will work closely with the advice sector through publications, briefings and events such as seminars and conferences, to increase advisers’ awareness of the concerns highlighted by the EWS and to promote solutions to support claimants.
