About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an involvement specialist to join us in our next chapter. As lead expert for involvement, you’ll be responsible for developing and facilitating ways to ensure people affected by breast cancer can use their insights, experiences and views to make a real impact on what we do. 

You’ll join us as we start our strategy development programme, being part of a team that is driven in using insights and evidence to improve the outcomes of people affected by breast cancer, and passionate about amplifying people’s voices in what we do.

You’ll develop and manage our involvement function by: 

• Putting the voices of lived experience at the heart of our organisation's decision-making and delivery of our work

• Providing a platform for people affected by breast cancer to connect with and influence researchers, providers and decision-makers

• Producing insights that guide our organisational decision-making, to help us turn insights into meaningful action.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Safety professional to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team as a Building Safety Manager. This role focuses on all aspects of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety Act 2021 and offers a varied and engaging environment for a solution-focused individual with a passion for building safety and resident well-being. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our residents and the compliance of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Safety Management: Ensure all buildings under your management comply with the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety assessments, inspections, and compliance reports.
• Implement and manage safety case reviews for higher-risk buildings, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated.

• Safety Management Systems: Develop and maintain robust safety management systems and procedures. Ensure regular fire risk assessments and other safety inspections are conducted and documented. Oversee the implementation of safety measures, ensuring they are effective and up to date.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Head of Building Safety and Building Safety officer and other team members to integrate safety measures into maintenance and liaise with external contractors, ensuring they adhere to safety regulations and standards. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and ensure all statutory notifications and reporting requirements are met.
• Training and Development: Ensure that all staff and contractors are adequately trained in building safety protocols and the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for all buildings. Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure preparedness for any safety incidents.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and review building safety practices regularly to identify areas for improvement. Implement new safety initiatives and best practices to enhance overall building safety.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

UP attracts significant support from individuals, and there is huge potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations with this increased capacity in the fundraising team.

Katherine Low Settlement’s work with older people

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

We work with older people to:

• Encourage active and independent living

• Reduce isolation and loneliness

• Improve well-being and prevent ill-health

• Enable older residents to be dynamic and contributing members of the Wandsworth community.

Role Purpose
We are seeking to recruit a manager to lead a frontline team. This role will suit an experienced people manager who is friendly, kind and able to manage a busy workload. Someone who can motivate staff and volunteers, engage with elders and be solution focused.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Elders Core Service as part of the wider Elders Programme. This includes the three day a week lunch club, transport offer and social sessions and one-off activities and trips.
• Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers. The team members include a cook, support worker, minibus driver and sessional workers such as exercise tutors.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide this “hands on” programme which builds on older people’s strengths and potential.
• Manage the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
• Ensure the programme runs to budget.
• Support the planning of the core programme with Elders members themselves and with the wider team.
• Recruit, assess and support new and existing members (service users)
• Manage waiting lists for the programme
 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Planning and oversight

• Working with the Head of Programme, ensure that all service output meets KLS’ vision, mission, values and charitable objects and with the Head of Programme, ensure the service meets the programme strategy and KLS’s 5-year strategy.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of core older people's activities throughout the week and organise, plan and promote agreed one-off activities throughout the year in a timely and planned manner.
• Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules of older people to and from KLS’ activities with the Minibus Driver. Ensuring the Minibus Driver maintains records.
• Ensure activity records and registers are kept accurately and up to date as well as case work notes for the core team, completing regular checks on this. We use a Salesforce Database for which training will be given.
• Actively support the social and support needs of our older people as appropriate, including safeguarding issues and being a first contact for compliments and complaints for the service.
• To be part of, and work closely with, the wider elder's team, sharing information regarding elders on a regular basis where appropriate.
• Conduct outreach and support work with older people in the community and on home visits and oversee the case work of the Core Team as well as having a small caseload. This does not involve advice work but is mainly signposting, referral and light advocacy.

Staff and volunteer management

• Take responsibility for the Core Programme. This includes line management of the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook and key relevant social activities workers and volunteers related to the core programme (we do also have a KLS Volunteer Manager who recruits volunteers).
• Ensure performance management and quality systems are used to monitor and evaluate the project’s work, processes and safeguarding.
• Managing individual volunteers as part of the Core Programme Team.

Relationships, comms and networks

• Continue to build and sustain strong relationships with our members.
• Contribute to comms for the service with the Head of Service. Oversee the comms for the Core Programme including the shared service newsletter, activities calendar, annual report and social media platforms.
• Attend meetings as requested on behalf of the Core Programme.
 

Finance

• Manage the project areas to budget, maintain basic financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme – in this instance this is usually a petty cash sheet.

Safeguarding

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across the core team, ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront of KLS’ delivery.

Undertake other duties

• Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal; help to identify your own job-related development and training needs
• Undertake your role in a professional manner and maintain a high-quality standard of work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of KLS

Skills and Experience

• Experience of working with older people in a community setting
• Experience of line managing a small team in a community setting
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and when working individually or in groups
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management 
• Ability to work as part of a small team, whilst also working independently
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects effectively and ensuring that they are consistently meeting needs

The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) is a membership organisation with charitable status. The BCS represents a diverse group of members that span the cardiovascular profession, covering specialist areas of shared and common interest, where the majority of members are either consultant or trainee cardiologists. About the role: 

Reporting to the Head of Volunteering, this pivotal role is integral to the effective management of volunteers and the support of our volunteer involving departments. As a Volunteer Resource Administrator, you will be the driving force behind the administration of our new Volunteer Management CRM. You’ll play a key role in designing the setup, managing data migration, and supporting the phased rollout of the system across the Hospice. 

You’ll be our volunteer data champion and take ownership of collecting and analysing volunteer data to showcase their impact, improve recruitment, and retain existing volunteers. You’ll also use data to help identify and reduce barriers to volunteer involvement, there by diversifying our volunteer teams. We’re looking for a highly organised, capable, and experienced administrator, who is fully competent in MS office and has experience with systems management. You’ll demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work, have a positive solution focused outlook, and the ability to prioritise and manage a broad workload.

You will support management of our recruitment across The Princes Trust’s Health & Social Care website, emails and social media channels. You’ll also be responsible for executing campaigns and initiatives that help support young people, as well as raise awareness of our work to attract more young people onto our Health & Social Care programmes.

The Database Manager position is an exciting new opportunity to work alongside the Head of Salesforce to develop a solid foundation working with the world’s largest integrated CRM platform, Salesforce.  Winston’s Wish is currently leveraging various Salesforce products, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Non-Profit Success Pack. Additionally, we are investing in Marketing Cloud and AI in the upcoming year as part of our strategic shift towards a 'digital first' approach.

Main Responsibilities  

What you'll do: 

• You’ll be our 'go-to’ person for Salesforce end users; 
• Support the day-to-day platform administrative functions and configuration including user management, permissions, sharing rules, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, reports & dashboards;
• Working on declarative development utilising Flows, custom objects, workflows, validation rules and security configuration; 
• Support day-to-day user queries; 
• Proactive system maintenance including keeping up with Salesforce releases, features and best practices;

Person Specification

To support the development and delivery of Lifelites services by co-ordinating the installation of new packages of technology, training and partner engagement.

To support the delivery of Lifelites’ ambitious expansion strategy as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations in 2025 and beyond.

Lifelites passionately believes that all children with life-limiting conditions and complex disabilities should enjoy a childhood filled with special moments of fun, happiness, and meaningful connections.

By harnessing innovative sensory and assistive technology, we empower children to play, learn, communicate, interact with the world, and create lasting memories with their families.

For nearly 25 years, we have provided cutting-edge technology, training, and ongoing technical support free of charge to children’s hospices in Britain and Ireland, impacting over 12,500 children and their families annually.

Main duties and responsibilities

 Technology provision

- To co-ordinate the application and consultation process for children’s palliative care services invited to apply for new packages of technology.

- To create documentation annually to capture all equipment requests, costings and associated partnership agreements.

- To co-ordinate technology installation schedules and liaise with Lifelites Champions to ensure efficient project delivery.

- To produce handouts and user guides for installation and ongoing training sessions aligned to Lifelites technology installation schedule.

- To attend and support the delivery of events, installations and Lifelites functions and represent Lifelites within children’s palliative care settings and forums.

- To provide administrative support for new technology pilots and other innovation activity.

- To support the development of Lifelites 25th anniversary activities, which are currently in development.

Learning and development

- To respond to training requests and co-ordinate installation and ongoing face-to-face training by liaising with Lifelites Champions, Lifelites Trainer and Head of Services to book dates and prepare training itineraries.

- To co-ordinate Lifelites Super User events including venue bookings, scheduling and training providers.

- To capture and monitor training feedback and prepare briefings for Head of Services and Trainer.

- To support the development and implementation of Lifelites e-learning platform, including course modules, interactive learning and activity ideas.

Partner engagement

- To support ongoing quality improvement by delivering regular account calls, responding to queries and maintaining up to date contact information for Lifelites Champions and other key stakeholders.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for implementing the charity’s Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising programmes (target of £1.3m in 2024). You will manage a team of up to two with the support from the Head of Fundraising, with whom you will work closely with to develop a series of targeted multi-channelled appeals and campaigns to engage with existing supporters and to attract, recruit and retain new ones.

You will be confident in handling and interrogating data, utilising your experience to deliver insight led creative campaigns across several channels. You will use data to test and learn through the delivery of persuasive and compelling appeals and campaigns - aiming to grow supporter loyalty and inspire repeat donations.

The delivery of exceptional supporter care and stewardship is paramount in this role, the post holder will require excellent communication skills to help deepen engagement strategies with supporters and work with an ambitious, positive, and creative approach - with experience in working collaboratively organisation wide.

Key responsibilities
Planning and implementation
• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the supporter donor journey.
• Develop new individual giving appeals and campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels to engage with new and existing supporters to generate new income.
