The role will work with the Director of Development to devise, develop and implement the major giving strategy, and ensure annual income targets are met by delivering on individual and team targets.
This is a 12-month maternity contract role. The salary will be £45- £50k and will consist of a hybrid working environment.

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) works to encourage debate, drive collaboration, and build partnerships across academia and industry that increase the probability of transforming discoveries from the lab bench into treatments for people living with dementia. Since funding their first project in 1998, the charity has now committed over £171 million of funding for ground-breaking dementia research.
As part of the ARUK Leadership Team, the Head of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in leading the charity to accelerate progress towards a cure. This role is a 6 month contract, starting ASAP on a hybrid basis. Permanent recruitment will start in 2025, so is covering the gap.

The Head of Marketing and Brand will be responsible for the charity's brand and fundraising marketing. You'll work closely with the Deputy Director of Marcomms, to drive brand awareness. You will manage the marketing and brand team, covering a full range of marketing activity including, advertising, media buying, design and creative, and marketing collateral.
Knowledge and experience:
Track record of developing and delivering marketing strategies in a commercial and/or not for profit environment.
Track record of delivering impactful marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
Experience of developing and delivering a coherent brand strategy in a diverse organisation.
Experience of developing a low profile / challenger brand in a crowded market place to deliver measurable impact.
Experience of leading, managing and developing teams and supporting professional development.
Experience of commissioning and working with freelancers, agencies and suppliers to support the development and delivery of specific campaigns.
A track record of managing budgets and allocating resources effectively and efficiently to deliver objectives.
Excellent time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and issues to deadline

Harris Hill are thrilled to be partnering up with an international faith based charity who help the persecuted across the globe. They are looking for a Major Donor Manager to work with and bring in high value and ultra-high value major donors.
Location: Sutton, Surrey, ideally 2 days a week in the office, but flexible.
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Marketing and working closely with the Senior Management Team and Heads of section the postholder will be responsible for generating new revenue income by creating a long-term major donor fundraising strategy to enhance relationships with our current major donors and to develop, via upgrades or other programmes, new donors (up to £100,000).
What are the key responsibilities:
- Leading the major gifts programme by researching, identifying and engaging new donors and upgrading existing major donors to raise funds to support projects
- Building the major gifts income focusing on donations up to £100k
- Building relationships with donors through cultivation and stewardship plans, including, but not exclusively, face-to-face meetings, introductions to key staff members, trustees and visiting guests and invitations to events
Experience:
- Motivated by the cause, with an understanding of the Catholic Church.
- Experience in major gift fundraising with a proven track record at five figure donations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Herts Young Homeless is a charity whose mission is to break the cycle of homelessness in Hertfordshire through education, advice and support for young people and their families. Set up in 1998, they support 16-24 year-olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and their services range range from prevention to early intervention, crisis support and independent living support. The work they do empowers young people to deal with the difficult situations in their lives, giving them the ability and confidence to 'do it themselves' and ultimately find stability.
The Individual Giving Officer reports into the Head of Fundraising and Communications and is responsible for the Individual Giving income stream, with a revenue target of £90-100K. The Individual Giving programme is relatively new so there is a lot of scope to grow it by providing excellent stewardship through meaningful engagement and thoughtful and creative communications.
To succeed in the role of Individual Giving Officer, you will need:
- An understanding of support acquisition and retention, supporter journey development and motivations for giving
- Experience of using a CRM database to support relationship management
- Understanding of developing fundraising or communication initiatives or campaigns
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
