Are you passionate about data and keen to play a key role in supporting impactful communication strategies? We are seeking a Data Selections Officer to join our Data and Insight team. This role is vital to the delivery of our communications programme by understanding our campaign activity and delivering targeted data selections. 

As a Data Selections Officer, you will work closely with various teams across the organisation, gathering data requirements and ensuring that selections align with campaign goals. You will manage the scheduling and delivery of complex targeted data segmentations and selections for campaign activities across direct mail, telephone, email, SMS, and social media channels.  Additionally, you'll be responsible for building and managing complex data segmentations, making sure all outputs comply with data protection regulations and internal policies.

You'll also manage and maintain automated supporter journeys using our campaign management tools. This involves streamlining processes and ensuring efficiency in how data is selected and utilised.

A key part of your role will be providing ad-hoc reports to support various business needs, including campaign planning and funding applications. Your input will help to ensure that all data-driven activities meet our strategic goals and reflect our core values.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday (5 days) acting as an emergency contact on a rota basis one weekend in four.

Lighthouse retail has 34 stores across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire run by paid staff and volunteers. Our retail vison revolves around ‘The People’ within the organisation with a view to invest and develop to reach our fullest potential.

The People Manager will be responsible for overseeing the staffing across each one of our stores, ensuring that shops are fully staffed day to day. They will need a practical and engaging approach to enable staff to thrive in their roles and feel supported to meet the charity’s vision and mission. They will work alongside the rest of the retail team ensuring the aims and objectives of the people strategy are achieved.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
People Management

- Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations relating to the people side of retail.
- Ensure the shop team and volunteer relationship is a professional and successful one
- Act as the first point of contact for the volunteer administrator in relation to volunteering matters and queries for retail.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to all shop teams regarding updates, charity activities, incentives, and performance.
- Work closely with management and employees to embed changes and ensure solutions are realistic and sustainable.
- Be able to work closely with the retail management team including the retail sales manager to ensure the people side of the charity is not impacting sales.
- Overseeing the retail portfolio sickness and absence management including allocation and approval of annual leave throughout the year, forward planning contingency strategies ensuring shops are covered all the time even at short notice. Ensuring staffing hours do not exceed there’re banding allocation.
- Be competent in assisting with grievances, supporting with investigations and assisting with disciplinaries.
- Act as deputy safeguarding lead as and when required. Be able to act in an advisory capacity demonstrating a higher level of experience and understanding when dealing with safeguarding issues that arise.
- Be responsible for overseeing and leading with probation placements across our retail sites, acting as point of contact and ensuring that the relevant paperwork is up to date including the risk assessments for each placement.

People Development

- Ability to mentor and support staff through regular one to ones ensuring that they feel fully equipped to achieve optimum success in their work.
- Collaboratively with the HR team review and update the volunteer induction and training programme ensuring all aspects are relevant to the retail portfolio.
- Support staff with capability and performance issues including the management of their own staff issues such as, sickness, disciplinary, grievances and concerns through probation periods.
- Work closely with the retail management team on the delivery of innovative and interactive internal and external training to help staff develop their skill sets and achieve career satisfaction.

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Work closely with HR developing and implementing strategies to improve recruitment, attracting suitable staff, and retaining them.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient coverage of volunteer support in the retail portfolio.
- Lead on the recruitment of new staff members, being able to assist shop managers in developing better teams and building strong foundations in line with the people strategy and recruitment and selection policy.
- Ensure that new staff members are fully trained and placed in a suitable training store.
- Monitor and track performance throughout staff probation periods alongside the retail sales manager.

This is an exciting time to join our small team as we embark on several projects to increase our reach and impact in the community. Your role as a Debt Outreach Advisor will include working with community organisations in inner city and east Bristol to support clients who are experiencing financial issues and working as part of the Bristol Court Advisory Network to provide debt advice to people facing eviction.

You will have proven experience within a similar advisor role, and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. You will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of relevant law and practice and show empathy and understanding of the issues faced by our clients.  You will have experience of working in local communities, preferably in a bilingual context. You will also be able to show us that you have excellent problem solving, organisational and team working skills. 

Collaborate closely with our Senior Fundraising Manager to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, support individual giving and contribute to bid writing for projects that align with CSE’s strategic goals.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) but will consider a minimum of 30 hours.
• The salary for the role will be £27,121 to £32,486
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

• Support the running of online and in-person events to raise awareness of CSE’s work with key stakeholders and potential funders.

• Ensure all income and donations are processed, and acknowledged appropriately, including using systems for accurately managing supporter data.

• Develop creative ways of presenting CSE to engage corporate partners leading to mutually beneficial relationships with social purpose.

Purpose of the role

ZSL’s Patron Executive will maximise fundraising revenue for ZSL through our Patron programme and will drive forward our wider mid-value donation portfolio. The postholder will be responsible for the recruitment, cultivation and engagement of our Patrons, underpinning strategic areas of delivery and generating essential income. The Patron programme is currently under review, and the postholder will support and lead on the review and will launch the new strategy and programme

Key responsibilities: 

• Lead on the management of the Patron programme and mid-value donor portfolio.
• Will manage the day-to-day delivery of the Patron programme including coordinating the renewals process and responding to enquiries.

About You

- Established experience working in a strategic leadership role within both marketing and PR, managing multiple and complex functions.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and shaping strategies to increase audience reach and relevance and to translate strategies into operational plans.
- Proven track record in delivering growth in media relations and/or marketing metrics.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate people internally and externally.

This is an exciting new role and part of planned significant investment into a longstanding and prestigious community based youth organisation. Key Responsibilities

1. Program Management:

Person Specification - Qualifications and Skills

-JNC Professionally qualified Youth Worker with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, youth development, education) or equivalent practical experience.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity, founded by Fiona and Tim Spargo-Mabbs in 2014 in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Dan having taken ecstasy. What will my main dutires be?
