Main duties of the job
Due to internal promotion, we are now recruiting for a new Legacy and Tribute Manager; you’ll have many opportunities to make your mark and the freedom to try new ideas. You will also be supported by a culture that encourages learning and being positively disruptive.
This is a key fundraising role in the organisation focusing on, and further developing, implementing and evaluating, our Legacy and Tribute Funds programme. You will need to feel comfortable promoting this critical fundraising area and be prepared to emotionally engage with / invest in relationships with supporters and their families.
You will need experience in fundraising and especially legacy marketing. You must have sound knowledge of the legal processes and procedures that cover the management and administration of Wills/legacies by the legal profession. Role Overview:

The Development and Events Co-ordinator plays a vital role in supporting AAM’s fundraising activity. The role holder will take responsibility for the management of our Friends membership scheme. In addition, working in collaboration with the Head of Development, the role holder will oversee a programme of stewardship and cultivation events for all our members, donors and prospects, including drinks receptions at concerts and special events in a variety of different venues.
The Development and Events Co-ordinator will take responsibility for the effective use of AAM’s donor database (currently Infoodle), overseeing the input of financial information, managing e-mail and post mailings and providing a range of reports.
The Development and Events Co-ordinator will support the Head of Development in researching Trust and Foundation and individual prospects and donors. The role-holder will also provide administrative support for our Development activities including generating acknowledgement letters and taking minutes at Development Board and working group meetings.

The Role

Job purpose
Your role will be specialising in acquisition of Charity of the Year partnerships between the value of £400k - £10m, while also managing a New Partnerships Manager who is responsible for a pipeline of Charity of the Year prospects valued at £150k - £400k. About the role:
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on all Community Fundraising within their geographical area.
You will be responsible for developing and growing income and engagement within a defined region whilst also delivering first class account management to existing and new fundraisers.
Working within the Income Generation Team, you will work closely with the Corporate and Major Giving Teams as well as Events and Philanthropy to ensure that all opportunities are maximised.
This role is varied – no two days are the same and will require someone who is able to work autonomously whilst being an integral part of a team.
About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Regional Senior Fundraiser working in either Cardiff & the Vale or Newport/Monmouthshire/Torfaen. As the ideal candidate you will have 3 or more years experience in a Community Fundraising team, with the ability to work on your own autonomously. You’ll have new ideas and a positive attitude.
You will be comfortable meeting with diverse groups of people and developing relationships as well as looking for opportunities to engage. You will have excellent relationship management experience and the ability to work on various project at the same time. You will have experience working with and recruiting supporters and volunteers.
This role is home based but involves travel to our Head Office based in Sully, as well as regular travel throughout the geographical region you cover. Therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle is needed.
The ability to work flexibly to include evenings and weekends and to align working hours with the needs of our supporters is essential.

As a Direct Marketing Executive, you’ll use a range of channel content to reach and meet the needs of your audience and tailor your approach based on audience insight.
You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to warm mid value audience, to engage them wider with the work of Prostate Cancer UK with the overall aim to increase their life-time value.
With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage direct marketing campaigns in the form of seasonal appeals, email updates, and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently review KPIs and make evidence-based choices to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.
What we want from you
Excellent knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment is vital, you’ll also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience of stewarding donors by understanding the importance of meeting their needs.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Knowledge of direct marketing and fundraising law would be advantageous as well as philanthropy experience.
