As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. You will inherit a strategically developed portfolio of relationships and income streams, with particular strengths in trusts and foundations, and a strong network of individual donors and scope to build corporates. There is also a small but growing legacy circle, created in response to a recent bequest of £1M+. You will line manage a small team of two: the Development & Communications Coordinator, and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. With ambitions to expand upon NYJO’s existing work, your ability to set and achieve more ambitious targets will be essential.
Please note that this role will require occasional travel that will vary across the year, depending on the events calendar. Travel is likely to be required twice per month - please discuss with Joe Blythe at QuarterFive.
As Head of Development, you will:
- Develop and implement the existing fundraising strategy and develop marketing and communications efforts, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging to effectively engage donors and stakeholders
- Deliver a high standard of supporter care and relationship management tailored to the level of giving, including nurturing their successful new Legacy Club
- Manage and attend an annual series of fundraising events, from relaxed open days to formal receptions
- Oversee NYJO marketing and communications
- Line manage the Development & Communications Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from a range of trust, statutory and/or individual sources
- Tailoring applications to appeal to a diverse range of funders/donors, which may include drawing together distinct areas of activity to create bespoke packages
- An outgoing, approachable, confident and professional manner in dealing with donors, prospects and other stakeholders
- Interest in UK Jazz and enthusiasm for working with young artists and musicians and broadening access to participatory arts for all young people

Head of Marketing and Communications
Contract: Two year fixed term contract

Specifically designed to support the cognitive needs of people living with dementia, My Life TV can be used by individuals and their families at home as well as in care homes. As Head of Marketing, you will lead on the implementation of marketing strategies that contribute to Care Home-facing activity as well as broader strategic plans. With ambitious growth targets, marketing activity will be focused around increasing channel subscribers and building long-term relationships with care homes.
Main responsibilities within the role will include:
· Creating a well-defined and focused marketing plan to enable the effective delivery of organisational vision and strategy for growth
· Effectively implementing all marketing activities, with a particular focus on executing B2B campaigns to encourage growth in care home subscriptions to My Life TV

This role will suit individuals with a blend of skills and experience including the ability to work both strategically and operationally within a small team with an entrepreneurial spirit. We'd love to hear from people with the following skills and experience:
· Multi-disciplinary marketing experience across a range of disciplines e.g. digital marketing, comms & PR, direct marketing etc. You don't have to be an expert in all - but understand how they work together to deliver a strategy
· Experience building a marketing strategy, and implementing the necessary systems and processes to enable its effective delivery
· A strong track record of delivering effective multi-channel campaigns, working to fixed timelines and budgets
· Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to write compelling copy for a range of different audiences - the care market, partner organisations in the dementia field, and the wider public
· Strong team player - able to work effectively within a small multi-disciplinary team
· Excellent IT skills, ideally including previous experience using sales CRM software
· Strong people skills, with an ability to relate positively to, and engage with a wide range of people

Terms and Conditions
- Location: This is a hybrid role with two days at MAF UK, 1st Floor Castle House, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2TQ. One day per week will be spent at our Operations Centre, MAF International, Henwood, Ashford, TN24 8DH and the other two days can be from home.
- Working Hours: This is a full time role (at least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid) but requiring some flexibility on the successful candidate to work additional hours occasionally some of which could be outside the normal business hours. Hours should be agreed with line manager.

Overall purpose
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.
As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.
You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey has been established for over 100 years. We enable and empower people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind to overcome barriers and to be as independent as possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Senior Management Team, and lead our Children and Young People’s Service. The service helps children, young people and families to thrive, by providing a variety of vibrant and impactful services including the Habilitation Service on behalf of the Local Authority.
Principal accountabilities:
1. Provide overarching leadership, and management, to the Children and Young People’s Service (CYPS).
2. Lead, in collaboration with the CYPS Operational Manager, the Surrey County Council contract for Habilitation services ensuring that the Key Performance Indicators are met and reported on, in line with the contractual obligations, and that the contract is secured for the future.
3. Lead, in collaboration with the CYPS Operational Manager, the CYPS Service Facilitator and others, the delivery of outputs and outcomes of a number of grant funded services.

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.
Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.
