Role Summary:
- The Communications and Marketing Officer post is in the Communications and Marketing team, within SafeLives’ External Relations Directorate.
- The Communications and Marketing Officer supports the delivery of our key messages to advance our mission of transforming the response to domestic abuse.
- The Communications and Marketing Officer will work closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager to enhance SafeLives’ profile and reputation as a trusted expert in data, voice and practice.
- This role is instrumental in marketing our training courses, products, research, and services to professional audiences.
- The Communications and Marketing Officer develops and produces high-quality, engaging content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- The role involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all SafeLives’ communications. And tracking and analysing the effectiveness of external communication campaigns.

About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the successful delivery of Transport for All’s communication and engagement strategies. You will work with the Head of Communications and Engagement to ensure that Transport for All has consistent and effective messaging through the creation and development of digital and print copy, and digital content including podcasts, graphics and videos. About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reprieve team as our Head of Mass Engagement covering parental leave.
With the support of the Deputy Director of Development, you will lead our fast‐moving and creative Mass Engagement Team to:
- Power Individual Giving and Public Fundraising across multiple channels.
- Engage our community of supporters (currently about 95,000 people in the UK and 9,000 in the US) to donate and take action for Reprieve
- Inspire others to support Reprieve’s work, running campaigns across our social channels.
Our Mass Engagement work is at a pivotal moment. Reprieve’s income from through regular and individual giving, generated largely by email fundraising, has experienced a drop with many of our supporters understandably reassessing their charitable giving in the face of the economic crisis.
You will oversee the delivery and implementation of Reprieve’s recently launched Mass Engagement strategy. You will be energised to bring your skills, experience and knowledge to implement and deliver these plans, testing opportunities to diversify and grow the programme.
The Mass Engagement team works closely with the wider Development Team and colleagues across the organisation, supporting each other to reach their objectives.
About you
You will have a deep level of skill and expertise in mass fundraising, either through Individual Giving, Digital or Community and Events, with demonstrable experience managing a budget and making decisions about the best use of resources to deliver income targets.
You will be a dynamic leader with management experience and will foster an aspirational and creative environment within your team, while working across departments to ensure our content reflects organisational values, priorities and objectives. You will be able to demonstrate that you can oversee complex work streams and competing priorities, while supporting, inspiring and empowering your team to achieve targets.

About the role:
We are looking for a Head of Corporate Fundraising who will drive the organisation’s fundraising revenue by looking for opportunities to optimise and grow. You will use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy and deliver the corporate fundraising strategy.

Purpose of the role
Co-production in terms of design, delivery and evaluation is fundamental to the programme, and so we are looking for a person with direct lived experience of MHLDA inpatient services to join the FoNS team and to lead on co-production, bringing a lived experience lens to our team.
As an organisation we recognise that FoNS is at the start of our co-production journey. So, whilst the primary focus of the role is leading the co-production element of the mental health programme, working closely with the programme lead, a secondary purpose is supporting the development of co-production throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities will primarily consist of:
· Working as part of the FoNS Leadership Team for the FoNS Ward Manager Programme including attending relevant meetings with NHS England
· Playing a leading role and taking operational responsibility for co-production within the FoNS Ward Manager Programme. This includes meaningful engagement of persons with lived experience of mental health, learning disabilities and autism, families and carers, and staff throughout programme design, delivery, governance and evaluation

About the role
The Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs manages a small, dynamic team based in London, who work with colleagues across the delegation and around the world to support its main objectives: (i) to contribute towards enabling ICRC action to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence; (ii) to influence the debate and secure improved decision-making on issues relevant to conflict, humanitarian action and international humanitarian law.
Reporting to, and working as adviser to, the ICRC Head (and Deputy Head) of Delegation, the Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs develops and oversees the implementation of the delegation’s policy and humanitarian diplomacy strategy in the UK, ensuring it is in line with the ICRC’s overall strategy. They are a member of ICRC’s global network of policy and humanitarian advisors, interacting regularly with the Policy and Humanitarian Diplomacy Divisions/Units at headquarters as well as with delegations around the world, supporting ICRC’s humanitarian diplomacy and policy dialogue. This is a role which requires working collaboratively and at pace on a wide range of issues relevant to the mandate of the ICRC and its global operations.
The Head of Policy and Humanitarian Affairs works closely with the British Red Cross ensuring optimal impact of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement’s policy and humanitarian diplomacy objectives.
This is an outward facing job, representing the ICRC at public events, with UK Government, Parliament and the wider humanitarian sector.

Person specification (qualifications, skills & experience required)
Essential
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject;
- Strong experience (indicative 10+ years) in humanitarian policy advocacy, diplomacy, conflict analysis and/or a relevant policy position;
- Strong understanding of the UK political and policy environment, with a solid grounding in security, defence and humanitarian issues.
- Knowledge and experience of working in – or with - UK Government, as well as humanitarian/development organizations and think tanks;
- Excellent written and spoken English. French or other second language a plus;
- Proven experience in networking and influencing;
- People management and leadership experience;
- Confirmed analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
Desirable
- A solid understanding of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement;
- Prior field experience with the ICRC or another humanitarian/development organization;
- Foundational knowledge of International Humanitarian Law (IHL);

Further Details
This post is part of a job share and will be offered as part-time (21 hours/ 3 days per week) resident appointment based in our London office. Your job-share partner also works 3 days per week, with one crossover day. The appointment will be offered on an open-ended contract from the beginning of October 2024 (or as soon as a start date is feasible).
The Head of Policy post receives a salary at C2 ICRC London grade and it will be pro-rata for this 3 day part time role (60% FTE); the salary scale below is indicative of the full time equivalent (100%)

Social media
- Maintain Blagrave’s social media accounts, and work with the wider team to ensure a regular social media presence for Blagrave.
- Research, create, and publish content for Blagrave’s social media platforms. This includes writing, getting approval and scheduling content, and creating appropriate imagery that is engaging and aligned to Blagrave’s style guide.
- Proactively monitor our social media channels, responding as relevant.
- Monitor social media outputs of other charitable foundations and youth organisations to inspire and inform Blagrave’s communications output.
- Strengthen Blagrave’s digital output/presence and reach by tracking analytics via monthly reporting on social media performance, making recommendations of how we can engage with audiences more effectively
