As Head of Politics, working closely with the programme leadership team and other key colleagues, you’ll lead on, oversee and take responsibility for the development of political strategies within and across our campaigns – playing to our organisational strengths including media work, mass engagement, investigations, NVDA and organising.

As a team leader you’ll set team strategy and expectations and provide line management and leadership to your team of political campaigners, whilst nurturing a collaborative, effective and supportive working culture. You’ll also advise those campaigners, embedded in campaign teams, on how to devise effective political strategies.

Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. What we're looking for:

• In-depth knowledge of politics, including relevant UK and international political fora, UK devolved assemblies and local councils.

• Strong understanding of the relationship between political change and the use of tactics including investigations, actions and both inside track and mass engagement.

• Significant high level UK political contacts or proven ability to develop them.

• Experience of political lobbying and stakeholder influencing at a senior level.

• Demonstrable understanding of how to develop successful political strategies which leverage political support as a tool to win campaigns.

• Ability to identify political opportunities and support development and communication of new ideas in support of organisational and campaign goals.

• Strong understanding of the relationships between political change and the use of media, digital channels and mass engagement.

• A record of effective management of resources, including leading projects and setting up and maintaining administration and information systems.

• The ability to lead a team in accordance with Greenpeace’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Relations:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive PR, communications & partnerships strategy to increase awareness and visibility of Bookmark’s brand, mission and reputation. 
• Build and deliver Bookmarks external communications calendar, driving reach and depth to support the Marketing team’s KPIs and objectives.
• Help create and implement a plan for communicating Bookmark’s strategy, impact, and school programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage in national and regional media.
• Write and distribute press releases, pitch stories, engaging content and manage media inquiries.
• Monitor and report on PR activities, measuring the impact on brand awareness and engagement.
• Manage relationships with any external pro-bono PR agencies.
• Own and manage the charity's crisis communications strategy.
• Provide leaders where needed with trusted communications advice and guidance on external communications.

Partnerships:

• Identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, educational institutions, and other non-profits to support Bookmark’s goals.
• Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and alignment with the charity's objectives.
• Collaborate with partners to develop joint campaigns, events, and initiatives that promote volunteer recruitment and fundraising.
• Manage and maintain positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage and maximize brand exposure.

Ambassador Programme:

• Create, manage and expand a network of ambassadors, including authors, celebrities, and influencers who advocate for the charity.
•  Develop and implement strategies to effectively engage ambassadors in PR activities, events, and campaigns.
• Coordinate ambassador appearances, endorsements, and social media collaborations to amplify our message.

Marketing Integration:

• Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to align PR, partnership, and ambassador activities with the overall marketing strategy.
• Contribute to the development of content and messaging that resonates with target audiences across all communication channels.
• Support the achievement of marketing KPIs, including volunteer registrations, completed applications, and brand awareness metrics.
• Identify and lead projects to improve Bookmark’s external communications.
• Collaborate with support teams to supply communication support for various initiatives, including program launches, corporate announcements, and crisis management.

Person Specification:

Experience:

• Proven experience in a PR, communications, or similar role, ideally within the charity, education, or non-profit sectors.
• Demonstrable success in securing media coverage, managing partnerships, and working with high-profile ambassadors.
• Experience in developing and executing PR strategies that align with wider marketing goals.

Skills:

• A degree in marketing, communications, media, or equivalent experience or qualification.
• Proven experience in external communications, either in a PR team, or at a PR agency, with some experience of managing contractors or an agency.
• You’ll have outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail, and ideally, experience in a B2B, third sector, or commercial environment.
• You’ll have the ability to craft compelling stories, press releases and pitches.
• You have experience of working directly with the media, with relevant media contacts a very big advantage. 
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute plans that deliver measurable results.
• Proficiency in using PR and communication tools and platforms, such as media monitoring services and CRM systems where needed.

As a pivotal, newly created role for Buckinghamshire Mind the Head of Income Generation and Communications will be a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic direction and operational management of the charity. In this role, leading a small team, you will develop, implement, and monitor the fundraising strategy, introducing new initiatives to diversify and generate income. You will also oversee the delivery of the communications strategy. You will be innovative in your approach and have a passion to see Buckinghamshire Mind, and Mind in Berkshire, expand their portfolios of mental health services to fulfil the mission of ‘a mentally healthy society’.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of leading and delivering on income generation and associated activities such as fundraising, corporate engagement, marketing, networking, and relationship management. You will have proven experience in leading on external communications (including digital), developing campaigns to generate donations/corporate giving and associated activities such as public relations.

The Head of Product is a new role within Anthony Nolan, with the objective of leading product management activity through business analysis by ways of leadership. Essential Attributes:

• A deep and varied experience of product management and business
analysis (preferably with some experience in healthcare and/or charity

You will lead and implement development strategies and opportunities to support growth and funding for the overall organisation. You will play a key part in liaising with internal and external stakeholders and overseeing tender and funding opportunities including submissions.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday) in line with our agile working policy, which blends homeworking with office time.

The Head of Fundraising role involves working alongside operational teams, co-creating responses to tender opportunities, leading the bidding process and pitching to funders about why nasen is the provider of choice. You will be an essential and valued member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping us in our mission to create an inclusive and equitable education for all, reporting to the Executive Leadership team and the CEO whilst working with talented education professionals and our marketing team.

The Football Foundation are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance. The Football Foundation are the Premier League, The FA and the Governments charity that helps communities improve their local football facilities through football grants.

The Head of Finance will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. With responsibility for a team of five you will lead and provide statutory, financial and management accounting, including all financial planning and analysis, for the Football Foundation (Foundation) and the Premier League Stadium Fund.

The role:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
• Lead and work with the SMT, Management Group, PMO Lead, and Data & Insight team to create and maintain financial and cost models to support the development and finalisation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, focusing on the relationship between services, resources, and productivity.
• Work with the CFO in preparing and presenting the consolidated budget and plan to the SMT and ARG Committee.
• Develop high level models to support strategic and operational decision making, e.g. assessment of financial sustainability of grant applications and monthly reporting to funders in line with contractual obligations.
• Continue the development and transitioning of the finance team from a mainly transactional team to a team providing forwarding looking information. Enhance collaborative decision making through improved business partnering and transparent reporting.
• Ensure all legal entities comply with relevant legislation and prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, Charity Commission, and other statutory financial returns as appropriate. 
• Lead and manage the finance team, motivating and developing them so that that they are clearly focused, competent, and work effectively and efficiently.

Essential criteria:

• Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified financial and operational management experience.
• Proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the entire finance function, including hands on experience in delivering business partnering.
• Knowledge of the legislative, tax and regulatory framework of companies, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
• Leading an end-to-end external audit process.
• Developing/improving and implementing financial procedures and controls. 
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interpret complex issues at Board level, and to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation including experience of working with non-executives.
• Can demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to delivering organisational change and improvement.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members.

About the role:

We are looking for a Head of Finance to join us at a very exciting time for the Hospice. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the finance function, supported by an experienced Finance Manager.

With a new Chief Executive and Chair of Trustees in 2024, we are looking at how we can reach our vision of bringing hospice care to more people by 2030. As well as being a qualified accountant, you’ll be creative and curious, with a desire to get involved in the wider leadership of the Hospice, and have experience of implementing and developing finance systems and processes to drive efficiency.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the role of Head of Major Gifts. The position requires you to grow and where possible exceed the Funds net income over the next five years. You will possess strong leadership skills, be responsible for setting and delivering on annual targets, leading and managing the Major Gifts teams. In addition, you will have the experience of formulating strategies and be able to demonstrate your track record of successful targets that have been exceeded or met.
