As our Senior Accountant & Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insight, advice and support to key stakeholders across the organisation. You will be a trusted adviser to non-finance teams helping them to understand financial data and make informed decisions. You will be a key element of the high-performing and credible finance team, supporting both the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant and the Assistant Accountant in operational finance and in ongoing delivery of accurate financial information on which the business partnering relies.

You will have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across the RCR. What you’ll do:
- Deliver a decision support service to managers and directors to deliver improved financial performance outcomes for the RCR.
- Ensure that partners use effective financial controls over their spend and income conforming to RCR’s policies and to optimise RCR’s outcomes.
- Support the partners in the production of outturn forecasts, budgets and multiyear financial plans that conform to RCR’s financial needs.
- Provide effective analytical insight and advice to partners and Head of Finance to maximise the return on investment and support for implementing change to improve outcomes.
- Supporting RCR’s regular financial and non-financial performance reporting with analytical advice, insight and commentaries.
- Support the wider finance team in delivering timely management information
- Help with system development within the finance team such as upgrades
- Cover for the Head of finance in their absence.
What you’ll need:
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc)
- Experience of both financial business partnering role and accounting role.
- Excellent commercial skills, including the ability to lead or support negotiations and to influence and motivate others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical/non-professional audiences.
- An enquiring and analytical mindset with the ability to spot risks, to dig further to follow up on problems and work through issues to offer practical solutions.
- Experience of collaborative work across functions to support others in delivering tasks and projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Younger Persons Support Officer to join our client's team in Hereford.
They are looking for a positive and engaging support officer to deliver high quality support outcomes with the use of SMART support plans to enable and prepare young people to successfully transition into independence.

The Principal duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
Governance
Ensuring that the charity is legally compliant, compliant with requirements of the Charity Commission and has the correct insurances in place for the charity’s activities and that these are reviewed annually.
Ensure systems are in place for the Board of Trustees to fulfil its statutory responsibilities and exercise effective control of the charity's affairs. Support trustee recruitment in line with Hackney Playbus procedures.
Ensure policies and guidelines are appropriate for the charity’s work and reviewed regularly by the Trustees, including annual reviews of Children’s Safeguarding, Data Protection policies and the Risk Register developing policy proposals as necessary
Report quarterly or as required to the Board of Trustees on progress against key strategic objectives, providing information and explaining performance
Strategic
To work with Trustees to ensure the charity’s vision, mission and strategic plans are reviewed in conjunction with key stakeholders including Hackney Playbus staff, volunteers and families.
To take Joint responsibility for achieving, monitoring and reporting on performance against targets in all areas of charity’s activities taking action as required
To be open to feedback and ideas for innovation and change while delivering consistent and reliable services

Financial
Ensure that income is maintained, expenditure controlled in line with budgets and potential risks are identified and managed
Draw up an annual budget for approval by Trustees
Liaise with appointed bookkeeper, ensuring timely payment of bills, invoicing for services, chasing of invoices for payment and maintenance of petty cash systems
Prepare contracts, apply for tenders, negotiate and agree contracts, service level agreements and acknowledge receipt of funds as required.
Oversee expenditure and management accounts ensuring that income and expenditure is monitored and reported quarterly to Trustees
Organise independent examination of accounts with appointed accountant
Review and make recommendations to maintain or change arrangements with accountants, bookkeepers and payroll service providers.
Income Generation
Develop income generation strategies to maintain and enhance levels of funding from existing sources and develop new funding streams
Work closely with and provide support to the Fundraising Officer on funding applications to ensure continuous and sufficient income
Work closely with the Co-Director of Operations to ensure that monitoring reports are submitted to funders in line with requirements.
HR
Recruit staff as required
Support and supervise Administration and Fundraising Officers
Ensure HR policies, procedures and staff contracts are relevant and reviewed regularly to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Promotion of Charity
Maintain effective networks with supporters and stakeholders
Network externally and develop partnerships to improve impact and sustainability
Ensure charity is presented in an appropriate and professional manner to its stakeholders including website, social media, annual, impact and reports
Represent the charity in public forums and produce or commission written/digital material for promotion
Asset Management
Overall responsibility for asset management including Playbus vehicles, premises management, IT, utilities and other overheads.

· Manage and conduct smaller research projects, with support from the Strategy and Research Manager, including undertaking qualitative and quantitative data collection (such as interviews, focus groups or surveys) and data analysis.
· Support the Strategy and Research Manager with oversight of organisational strategies and delivery of associated action plans.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

We are looking for someone with experience in developing, designing, and delivering research and evaluation projects that align with the organisation’s strategic goals. - You will demonstrate good communication skills, and a track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders to produce accurate research reports.
- You will have experience of analysing data from various sources to compile comprehensive reports and in monitoring and evaluating organisational strategies.
- You will demonstrate an understanding of the importance of service user involvement in research, policy and strategy review.
- You will have the ability to build good relationships with a variety of different people including colleagues and clients across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop existing fundraising strategies while identifying new funding opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with corporate partners and the wider community to drive sustainable growth.
• Oversee funding partnerships, ensuring excellent stewardship by engaging and updating relevant parties.
• Research and prioritise relevant trusts and foundations.
• Collaborate with the HWK team to compile fundraising proposals and applications for grants and prospective partners.
• Represent HWK at fundraising and networking events when necessary
