Main Purpose of Job

About You
You will have atleast two years’ experience of working with teenagers/young adults who are Deaf or disabled and previous experience in delivery Deaf or disability activity programmes. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and have good time mangement. Good organisational skills are essential.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of the Delivery team.
As the Active Travel Project Officer, you will support six schools in Derby to increase the number of pupils travelling actively to school by walking cycling or wheeling. You will deliver a programme of activities, both educational and physical, providing the pupils and the schools with the skills to increase activity.

About the Role
We are looking for an EDI Committee Chair to provide direction to the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Work and to lead the EDI-BIIDE Committee, ensuring alignment between the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Action Plan and the organisation’s three-year strategy and resources.

Purpose of the job
We are seeking a skilled engagement officer to work on our projects in London and the Thames Basin. This role offers an opportunity for the post holder to make a difference to diverse areas of London, with differing challenges and an array of ambitions.

The project relies on creating strong networks of local institutions, such as schools and local authorities; grassroots organisations and groups; community leaders and representatives from the public and private sectors, including councillors and politicians.

7. Contribute to internal quarterly reports and annual reports to funders.
8. Represent Thames21 at community events, activities and partnership meetings.
9. Maintain clear records of progress, ensure all administration and statistical information is kept, and regularly upload information onto the Thames21 database.

The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie. ACT is an established charity paying grants to actors to bring stability and opportunity to their children.
None of ACT’s main fund is endowed so the Trustees must ensure new income to maintain reasonable reserves. In recent years ACT has received fewer legacies and donations from individuals, but we have been able to draw down from capital to supplement income. However, with the current low growth in investments, ACT must now diversity our income streams to support existing services.
Fundraising brief
We believe grant-making Trusts and Foundations are a significant source of potential income. The Trustees are seeking an experienced freelance trust fundraiser to raise an initial minimum target of £70,000 to support our ongoing children’s activity grants and projects.

The freelance fundraiser will identify parcels of work and potential funders. You will write bids and lead on the process, acting on the charity’s behalf as the main point of contact. ACT’s supports a niche group of beneficiaries. Our work is not project-based but may be parcelled into clusters of specific impact. This role is therefore likely to appeal to a fundraiser with experience in making a compelling case for a charity that is harder to fund.
Who we are looking for
A self-motivated and an effective freelance fundraiser with a strong track record of securing grant funding for a national organisation. Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounts, your responsibilities will be:
