The role of Finance Manager

​The Finance Manager will oversee the finance operations and lead on the preparation of management accounts, budgets, funding requests and internal and external reporting. The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in helping the Board and leadership team understand their performance and their ability to deliver an ambitious growth plan over the next five years. This job presents a great opportunity for someone experienced with charity management accounting and reporting who has a keen eye for detail and process improvement and a desire to be part of a charity that’s only going to get bigger and more influential!

The Finance Manager is one of just 3 members of the Finance & Operations team including the COO and the Finance & Administration Officer. We’re looking for someone dynamic and driven who likes to work autonomously, solve problems pragmatically and plan and organise their time effectively.

Main Duties

Repairs and Maintenance

• Manage the repair and maintenance of the parish site to ensure they are safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Undertake regular property and site inspections and manage actions.

• Proactively manage income generating residential properties and parish halls.

• Maintain good relationships with tenants who use our halls and office space.
• Manage parish hall hire queries and coordinate the compliant use of facilities.

We are looking for a Funding Officer to join our team in Wales.  This is a fixed term, full time post until March 2026 (open to a conversation on flexible working and job share)

You will play a key role in generating sustainable income for our work through securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions.

Role Context and purpose

Following recent and projected growth of the organisation, Gaddum is looking to recruit additional resource within the Central team to bolster support; ensuring delivery of safe and high-quality services. Gaddum acts as an administrator for smaller trusts and charities, who do not have internal finance teams, and this role will act as the key point of contact for those trusts in delivering financial support. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Trust Funds
• Key point of contact for trusts
• Administration of trust fund applications against agreed policies between Gaddum and the associated trusts
• Coordination and administration of trust meetings on behalf of the organisation and trusts

Key Responsibilities

· To act as the managerial point of contact between the Trust’s Grantees & the Trust ensuring programme materials up to date.

· To create documentation linked to grant programmes, such as Applications, Review Templates, Scoring Matrix and Grant Agreements.

This role aims to develop and secure a diverse range of funding streams in order to deliver our ambitious fundraising growth plans over the next 3 years.

Our Grants and Projects Coordinator will work with applicants from the start of their relationship with us, identifying potential partners, supporting grant applications, and ensuring successful applications lead to successful project launches.
