About the role
The Programme Manager will work in the Centre for Ageing Better’s Homes team.
Currently, millions of older people are living in homes that are unsafe – cold, damp, mouldy or with other types of hazards. The Homes team run a series of innovation, research, peer-support and influencing projects, that all seek to ensure that no one lives in a home that endangers their health, wellbeing or financial security. We work across local and national government and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
The postholder would be responsible for collaborating with colleagues in the design, commissioning and delivery of a number of projects. The Programme Manager will use their creativity and experience to design work that has a clear route to impact, ensuring that everything we do has a traceable link back to the people we are trying to support.
The role will also require that effective programme management processes are followed to ensure effective, timely and impactful projects (e.g. milestone planning, budget management, risk, stakeholder engagement and delivery).
About you
You will be committed to trying to tackle the housing crisis, particularly for older people at risk of poverty, ill-health and facing discrimination. Knowledge of the current housing landscape and/or ageing issues would be an advantage but is not essential.
It is important that you can demonstrate excellent project management skills, designing and delivering projects that have a clear route to impact. Working collaboratively with others and experience writing and communicating complex ideas in an accessible way are essential.
You are likely to be overseeing projects that stimulate change at the local level through supporting service redesign processes, innovation practices and evaluation. Therefore, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience working with organisations to adopt new practices or undertake service redesign, and/or who have commissioned or participated in evaluations.

About the role
The NextGen Community Producer will play an integral role at Youth Music shaping and developing our support for young adults, particularly helping them to close the gap between learning and earning in music.
You’ll join us at an exciting time as we look to scale up and enhance our community engagement efforts. Building on the foundations established in phase 1 between 2021-2024, your focus will be on increasing participation, and fostering a more cohesive and active community. Your innovative strategies and passion for supporting young creatives will be key to driving deeper connections among members, and creating a compelling offer for the community.
Day-to-day you’ll be programming national events, workshops and networking opportunities; brokering progression opportunities though Youth Music’s industry partners, and recruiting to paid freelance creative roles. The job will involve managing a variety of relationships with young people, playing a central role in developing and leading the NextGen community strategy, and supporting the development of a new brand and user journey for NextGen community members.
Key responsibilities
Programme Development
- Act as the day-to-day lead and point of contact for the Youth Music NextGen Community, representing their voice internally and externally.
- Devise and implement a clear strategy for the continued growth and development of the NextGen Community, with support from the Engagement team.
- Deliver impactful programmes of activities and support that will progress young people into creative careers, broaden their networks, increase their confidence and create access to new opportunities.
- Develop and grow the NextGen Community brand and visual identity, ensuring a clear offer and user journey for those taking part in Youth Music funded projects, and other potential new members.
- Increase the role the community plays in designing and delivering the NextGen programme, aligning with Youth Music’s wider aims and values around youth voice.
- Increase interaction between NextGen Community members.
Events
- Work with the events team to develop, grow and manage our programme of regular NextGen Community events across the country to bring the community together and showcase their talent.
- Develop and manage our programme of events in London in partnership with Young Guns Network (YGN), taking place in the offices of our music industry partners.
- Grow attendance at all NextGen events, working with our Comms and Marketing team to increase awareness and build the profile of the event series.
- Programme and manage all events within set budgets.
Partnerships
- Build and leverage relationships with partners and networks to enhance the offer for the NextGen Community (such as events, performance opportunities, workshops, studio time, content creation, and exclusive offers etc).
- Manage relationships with key corporate partners (such as Levi’s) to support delivery of the NextGen Community activities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential partners to approach, and support wider fundraising efforts within the team.
Recruitment
- Lead on NextGen recruitment for NextGen Community Events and the Youth Music Awards, with support from the Engagement Coordinator. e.g. Create briefs for NextGen roles and be their main point of contact.
- Support recruitment for any other Youth Music or partner opportunities created for the NextGen Community. (e.g. gigs, festivals, activations, focus groups, etc).
- Develop the NextGen talent pool, finding new ways to promote and manage this.
- Create and source relevant national music-related opportunities for Youth Music’s ‘opportunities board’.
NextGen Fund
- Support the marketing and promotion of the NextGen Fund.
- Contribute and support NextGen Fund decision panels.
- Work with our Comms team to ensure that content created through the NextGen Fund is showcased on Youth Music’s social and digital channels. E.g. Sound of the Next Generation playlist.
Demonstrate Impact
- Work with the Insights Team to listen and act on feedback from the NextGen Community. This will be via monitoring, research and consultation that informs the ongoing development and design of the NextGen offer.
- Prepare and present reports on the plans, activities and impact of NextGen Community.
- Share our learning internally and externally at panels, conferences, and through written pieces.
Systems and processes
- Capture NextGen membership on Salesforce so that we have a clear understanding of who is in our community.
- Work with the Database Administrator to improve our systems, processes and user journeys.
- Work with the Comms and Marketing team to ensure the Youth Music website represents and serves the needs of the NextGen Community.
Other
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with Youth Music’s values with inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility at their core.
- Be a safeguarding champion, ensuring best practice Safeguarding is embedded throughout our work and all issues and concerns are escalated as appropriate.
- Represent NextGen at events or speaking opportunities and act as an ambassador for Youth Music.
- Ensure budgets are managed effectively, accurate records are kept and invoicing and payments are managed in a timely manner.

Essential
- Experience in building and engaging communities in music, creativity or other youth-led spaces, platforms or organisations.

- A passion for music and a strong understanding of the UK creative industries and current issues facing young creatives, coupled with a clear desire to create a more equitable industry for the next generation.
- Experience in developing, implementing and growing brands and programmes, particularly those that support young people.
- Experience of working directly with young people, including one-to-one and facilitating or leading groups.
- Proven track record of programming and managing events within budget constraints.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on KPIs.
- Experience working in a small, collaborative team environment, demonstrating efficiency and self-motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of representing Youth Music and the NextGen community internally and externally.

Context
Through our flagship report and Gender and Health Index, GH5050 provides the only birds-eye view of gender, inclusion and equality in the global health system today. The report assesses 200 organisations annually across a core set of variables on policies and practices to tackle power and privilege imbalances within the workplace, the gender and geography of organisational leadership, and whether gender is considered in any organisations' external-facing programmatic or policy work.
In addition to the annual report, GH5050 also produces a range of other evidence-informed outputs, including thematic reports relating to equality and diversity in the workplace (e.g. on gender pay gap), and policy briefs about strategies for organisational change.
GH5050 is expanding into new sectors beyond health and will increasingly support analysis at the country level. The successful candidate for this post is expected to play an integral role in contributing to the growth of GH5050, as well as taking a leading role in developing these new areas of work and leading and managing research staff across three sectoral workstreams.
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in a world-leading gender accountability and advocacy initiative. You will join a small and growing team of staff working at GH5050, taking responsibility for a large body of research and its associated impact. This role will be instrumental in exercising leadership for research and impact as GH5050 expands into two new sectors and more work at the country level.
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, proactive, organised and experienced team player to assume this key leadership role. Role Responsibilities
Ensure delivery of rigorous and impactful research outputs across several thematic sectors at global and country levels: Overall responsibility for production (research design, coordination, time management, analysis, writing, production) and dissemination of rigorous research outputs including reports, indices and data visualisations. This will include identifying, liaising with and guiding external writers that may be required to support the delivery of outputs.
Manage, develop and motivate a diverse team of dispersed multisectoral and multidisciplinary researchers: Responsible for line management of sector specialists (health, law/justice and economics/finance) and their teams which include consultant researchers dispersed across the globe. This will entail recruitment, performance management, talent development and team building of GH5050 researchers as well as capacity building of researchers in partner organisations.
Manage a range of partnerships: Responsible for developing, maintaining and growing research and advocacy partnerships with external teams across the globe, through the application of principles and practice of equitable research partnerships.
Report to external stakeholders: Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of activities and impact to GH5050 donors using specified templates for reporting.
Ensure internal communications: Provision of regular updates on research progress, including identifying and flagging risks to achieving research objectives. Identification of risk mitigation or management strategies as appropriate.
Ensure external communications-including stakeholder engagement: In collaboration with GH5050 communications and engagement specialists, ensuring that research outputs are disseminated for maximum impact. Developing and maintaining regular engagement and communications with organisations included in the sectoral reports (at global and national levels). Willingness to travel to present at external conferences, stakeholder meetings, and other events as appropriate.
Track impact: Develop and maintain a rigorous system to track the impact of GH5050 research and engagement. Work with communications and advocacy staff to capture and communicate impact and stories of change.
Ensure sound financial management: Budget responsibility for research projects and activities. Regular liaison with head of operations and head of budget in GH5050 to ensure that spend and projections are on track to be balanced. Ensure that research teams report expenditures according to agreed budget parameters and regulations (set by UK Charity Commission, donors, auditors).
Support resource mobilisation: In collaboration with the rest of the senior team, cultivate relationships with existing and potential supporters of the work of GH5050 and identify opportunities for new research work and collaborations. Take ownership of grant and to a limited degree peer-review academic grant proposal development.
While peer-reviewed publications are not a primary aim of GH5050, we encourage our researchers to publish in the academic literature and when they do so to practice equitable partnership practices in relation to authorship.

Person specification
· PhD level qualification preferred. If Masters level qualification then equivalent and demonstrable relevant professional level experience
· Recognised thought leader in research, preferable in relation to gender equality
· Experience conducting mixed methods research, including innovative methods of data collection, indicator development, database management, and qualitative and quantitative analysis and interpretation
· Experience in research project management, ideally within an academic and/or policy environment
· Experience in policy analysis and developing recommendations based on this analysis
· Knowledge of gender and its relationship to: (i) research/evidence methods (e.g. policy analysis); iii) opportunities/discrimination in the workplace; (iii) and/or approaches to organisational change, would be an advantage
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and experience producing clear, concise, engaging and evidence-led written outputs such as reports, policy briefs, academic papers and op-eds
· Experience of effectively managing a team, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative professional relationships with a wide range of partners across diverse contexts, including whilst working remotely

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Major Donor Manager to join our team. You will hold responsibility for creating a major donor portfolio for TLC, securing support from High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Philanthropists.
This is TLC’s first Major Donor role. Over the past few years our organisation’s size and reach has grown considerably. We have experienced much success in winning new contracts and generating income from grants and Trusts – however, large and unrestricted donations remain an untapped potential resource for TLC. As the need for our services grows, so does the need for funding.

The role will coordinate the development and submission of high quality and donor aligned proposals and reporting. There is a strong capacity development and learning element to this work, and the role will share knowledge, learning and resources across Fauna & Flora to maximise success rate and promote best practice in grant management and donor stewardship.
About You
Experience of working with government funding sources, be they bilateral and/or multilateral, is essential for this role. You will have proven experience of securing restricted funding from government sources, and a good understanding of how statutory donors and funding programmes support the achievement of international targets and government priorities.
You will also have excellent relationship-management and communications skills and be able to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, non-governmental partners, and government agencies. You will be diplomatic and persuasive, and your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to coordinate people and processes to meet timelines. As an excellent team player, you’ll enjoy working in a dynamic and friendly environment.

The post can be undertaken on a part or full-time basis, and is a vital roles for liaison and support for residents, ensuring they are welcomed and engaged as part of the Almshouse community.
The Trust's origins can be traced back to Tudor times; it ranks as one of the Midland’s larger grant-making charities in terms of its property, financial assets and annual income. It does not actively raise funds from the public, rather from its assets that have been accumulated over hundreds of years. Throughout a long history it has improved the lives of generations of people, particularly those in the greatest need, whilst redefining and extending its benefits to reflect changing times.
Flexibility on hours is paramount, but there are also options for living on-site if this would work for the right candidate.
Almshouse Manager: circa £34,000
36.5 hours per week – over an average of 3 days per week, Monday to Saturday, plus up to one hour on alternate Sunday mornings, over a two-week period on a rota basis. Each day’s work will commence at 09:00 hours and finish at 21:00* hours with a break at lunch time and a break in the evening. This also provides flexibility for a daily check-in / on-call hour on 3 non-working days.
• Oversee appointments of potential Almshouse residents, carrying out interviews and ensuring effective support to new residents as they settle into their home
• Provide line management to the warden, ensuring all mandatory and other training is completed and in place
• Encourage and promote inclusive opportunities for residents’ engagement and feedback
• Work with the Property Manager to manage the Almshouse budgets
• Offer advice and support to residents in response to problems and queries as the need arises
• Authorise minor or emergency repairs to the almshouses as necessary and report these to the Property Manager.
• Maintain close contact with others who support the residents such as family members, carers, nurses and social workers
• Provide lunch in the residents’ lounge once a month and other social activities as planned

THE ROLE
As our first Fundraising Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our fundraising strategy, with a particular emphasis on creativity and innovation. The opportunity
CAG networks empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focussing primarily on the areas of reuse, repair, waste reduction, sharing, surplus food, composting and wider biodiversity and sustainability. In 2023/4 CAG Devon expanded its geographic focus, becoming county-wide, and widening its topical focus. You will be coordinating the delivery of the new Community Action Groups (CAG) project in East Devon (see our parent project website, CAG Devon).
A CAG network provides community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive, such as support with governance, guidance, small grants, training and insurance, as well as opportunities for networking and sharing skills with other groups.
As CAG project coordinator for the East Devon area, you will be nurturing and supporting place-based community groups, so location is essential. The successful candidate must live in central or East Devon or be within a reasonable commuting distance of East Devon. Mileage will be paid for travel within the East Devon area.
You will liaise with the contract manager and the local authority representative and have experience and enthusiasm for sustainability, community development and grass roots activities. - Promoting the CAG Project across East Devon:
- Establishing contact with communities and key people, through networking, attending and speaking at local events, writing posts, blogs and articles, and speaking to groups.
- Contributing to the CAG Devon website and social media presence.
- Identifying the needs of local groups (with them), including the resources and plans needed to implement their community-based initiatives.

About the role
For the past five years, Platform’s fossil free work has focused on the coordination of the activist network UK Divest, with the aim to disrupt the financing of the fossil fuel industry through local government pension schemes. In the past two years, the remit of our work has expanded, to include new campaigns focused on exposing and disrupting fossil fuel industry sportswashing and the lobbying of Parliament. Now, with new campaigning underway on new targets in the pension sector, we are re-organising and growing our team to resource this exciting work.
Working alongside three Fossil Free Campaigners at Platform - and partners at Friends of the Earth Scotland - you will build on the strengths and learnings of past years to lead the strategic development of this important programme of work, incorporating UK Divest, Fossil Free Parliament, fossil free sports work, and new pensions work.
Our fossil free campaign is also inextricably tied to other movements for social justice. We are specifically seeking someone to develop the international solidarity potential of this work, understanding how fossil fuels are intertwined with the defence industry, colonialism, and global extraction more broadly. We want to target investment in and political support for fossil fuel companies because we believe it is intricately linked to broader global justice, such as the UK Government’s role in supporting destructive energy projects worldwide. The best divestment and anti-fossil fuel campaigning has been, and your future work will be, informed by and responsive to the BDS movement, the Global Energy Embargo for Palestine and anti-apartheid and arms trade work.
As a permanent member of Platform staff, you will also participate in the collective decision-making and running of Platform as an organisation, as well as having fundraising responsibilities alongside your project work.

Coram Voice is the leading provider of specialist advocacy for children and young people. We run a range of children’s rights projects, including advocacy for children in care, care leavers, children with disabilities and homeless young people.

We work side by side with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society and reach out to those who have missed the support they need. About the role
You will:
-Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people children and young people experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
-Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Homelessness Outreach Project.
-You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for homeless children and young people.
Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.

Recruitment process

Successful candidates will be required to take part in a Warner style interview as part of our safer recruitment processes given the nature of the role.
