Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision.
APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support.
The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts.

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We have carved out a role, and reputation, for setting up and delivering supported internships for people with learning disabilities. We provide management, job coaching and employer engagement for over 50 young people with learning disabilities each year across our 6 internship sites.
We are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.
Background
Action on Disability is the supported employment service partner on a number of supported internships for young people with learning disabilities around West and South London. They are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.
The Post
The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out a detailed job analysis of potential jobs / work placements
- To carry out detailed job matching of service users and jobs
- To comprehensively learn jobs across different sectors – not restricted to but potentially including – Catering, Customer Service, Administration, IT and Retail
- To implement training/coaching plans which will enable the candidates to fulfil their roles to employer standards
- To conduct regular reviews to ensure candidates are progressing within their roles and to identify and meet new support needs
- To build up natural support within employers and taper off one 1:1 job coaching over time
- To negotiate and implement disability-related reasonable adjustments on an individual basis
- To identify client’s skills, strengths, interests and aspirations to inform an ongoing vocational profile
- To liaise with managers to discuss progress and respond to issues
Organisational responsibilities
- To work in accordance with Action on Disability’s Aims, Objectives and Values
- To comply with all organisational and departmental policies and procedures, and in particular to ensure safe, fair and responsible working practices through the implementation of AoD’s Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies
- To promote the work of AoD and promote and implement the social model of disability
- To keep accurate records and provide monitoring statistics and evaluation information as required for internal and external purposes

Person Specification
Essential
- High expectations for the employment potential of young people with learning disabilities
- Experience of training, education or employment support delivery for marginalised groups
- Significant and demonstrable experience of supporting people facing complex barriers to achieve their goals
- An understanding of the needs of employers and the benefits to business of having a diverse workforce
- An understanding of the Social Model of Disability and its practical application
- Ability and willingness to learn and carry out all tasks within a variety of jobs, in order to be able to coach the client
- Demonstrable experience of success in building strong and positive relationships and rapport with a wide variety of people and organisations
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and experience
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Demonstrable ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Good organisational skills and ability to keep accurate records and case notes
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and the internet and a good level of computer literacy.
- Being willing and able to travel easily within the boroughs of London relevant to the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in a small but influential national charity building a positive legacy for the late Jo Cox MP. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support for the team. You’ll work to support our core operations, and you’ll also be involved with the administrative aspects of our Stronger Communities work. In the first instance, this will mean supporting the delivery of our lottery-funded project in West Yorkshire through which we’re creating a shared vision for Batley, Heckmondwike and Dewsbury.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations and Projects Officer will provide administrative support for the team. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the Foundation, helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Within operations, you’ll provide administrative support on everything from finance and HR to fundraising and supporter care.
As a member of the Stronger Communities team, you’ll also provide support for our work building less lonely, better connected communities across the UK, where everyone feels that they belong. This begins with our current lottery-funded Bridging & Belonging project in Kirklees. You’ll act as the main administrator for the project, supporting the Community Group and Yorkshire Programme Manager to lead the work.
This will include setting up meetings, liaising with community venues and services, managing enquiries, answering questions directly and getting responses from colleagues where necessary. There will also be occasional on the ground community-facing work supporting the Bridging and Belonging community group at local events in North Kirklees.

We’re looking for someone who is engaged, positive, proactive and happy to work as part of a remote team. You’ll have good organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, and you’ll be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
As you’ll be working on our projects in Yorkshire, you’ll have a core knowledge about the region, especially West Yorkshire. Ideally you’ll have a particular understanding of Kirklees and the different communities living there.

IRMO is recruiting for the second cohort of our Advice Workforce Development Programme, delivered in partnership with The Baytree Centre, High Trees, LAWRS and Southwark Law Centre. Through this initiative, we aim to train and develop new advisers to help address the lack of accessible immigration advice for marginalised communities.
We are now recruiting for an Immigration Trainee Adviser to be based at IRMO. This is a paid, 12-month opportunity designed for those looking to qualify as an immigration adviser within a community setting.
As a trainee, you will:

Receive structured training and supervision to develop your skills.

Work directly with clients, providing essential immigration advice and support.

Gain hands-on experience managing a range of immigration cases.

Receive additional supervision from Southwark Law Centre, a specialist legal advice provider.

Work towards passing the IAA Level 1 exam to become a legally accredited immigration adviser by the end of the programme.
IRMO is registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3 and has a 40-year history of supporting Latin American migrants in the UK. We have a strong track record of upskilling volunteers to become accredited immigration advisers within our organisation.

Job Description
As a Trainee Immigration Adviser, you will support IRMO’s IAA-regulated Immigration Adviser in providing advice and casework for our service users.
With guidance from our team and additional expertise from Southwark Law Centre, you will follow a structured 12-month training programme designed to help you gain IAA Level 1 accreditation. You will work on a diverse range of immigration cases, gaining valuable hands-on experience to prepare for the exam.
Throughout the programme, you will apply your training by supporting casework, delivering workshops under supervision and providing information to the community on key immigration topics.
This role will help you develop professional skills, build confidence in an advice setting, and gain the knowledge, experience and training needed to become an accredited immigration adviser.

The ideal candidate will be based in the advertised location. You can expect to be fundraising both at our Arne Nature Reserve as well as at some off site venues, so the chosen candidate should be happy to travel.

The Role
Each day you will travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members.
Don't worry if you're not a wildlife expert yet – you will be provided with comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Plus, you'll enjoy the added perk of a company van, with fuel and parking costs paid for.
What's even better? You'll have the flexibility to choose a contract between 3 to 5 days per week, and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission. About You
What we need from you:
• A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required);
• Resilience
• Ability to work to targets;
• A driver's licence valid for use in the UK;
• Happy to work 3 out of 4 weekends;
• Happy to travel (on average) an hour away from home each day;
• Willingness to work outdoors and independently;
• Fundraising/Sales and Customer Service experience (desirable).
Whether you're from a hospitality, customer service, sales, or volunteering background, we're more interested in your negotiating/storytelling skills and enthusiasm than your previous experience.
