The College Centre for Quality Improvement works with mental health services to assess and improve the quality of care they provide.  We work with more than 90% of mental health service providers in the UK and focus on four key areas: quality networks, accreditation, national clinical audits, and research and evaluation.

Purpose of the post
To lead the representation of the VCS Alliance, and wider Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE), in strategic meetings across Bradford District and Craven (BD&C). Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders operating at grassroots and strategic levels to ensure Health and Social Care services are being designed and commissioned with representation of the VCSE, in support of our Act as One partnership vision for people to be Happy and Healthy at Home.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key working relationships

• Form a robust network and collaborate with a wide range of partners, across the Act as One Partnership. Foster strong relationships through effective partnership working, ensuring mutual benefits and successful relationship management.
• Represent the VCSE sector in conversations on Urgent and Emergency Care, High Intensity Use, Intermediate Care, and other strategic meetings as required.
• Ensure that VCSE partners are well represented in all engagement with commissioners and to develop the reputation of the VCSE as partners.
• Actively support the transformation of Enhanced care in the community, intermediate care offer, to support people with the appropriate level of care support and interventions to maximise independence and wellbeing.
• Lead and champion VCSE / community led High Intensity Use approaches and methodology in secondary and primary care across BD&C

Operational

• Responsible for creating an innovative way of developing the reduction in high intensity use of Emergency Departments.
• Manage and facilitate discussions and advise delivery partners as to how best practice might be adopted for future development of services and oversee their delivery.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and chair multi-disciplinary meetings, including managing data flow, to ensure a person centred and holistic approach to care provision.
• Work closely with VCSE partners to facilitate and coordinate the co-design of highly personalised projects that support improved wellbeing and health outcomes, whilst reducing inappropriate contact with health care services and unscheduled care.
• Attend a range of system forums / steering groups that are in support of unmet social needs e.g. homelessness, Mental Health.
• Work with other VCS Alliance staff to ensure links to other relevant programmes across the system.
• Develop and operate monitoring processes that support learning and assess effectiveness of provision.
• Lead on a range of projects to ensure that the outcomes agreed are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
• Determine links to existing projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider system/sector, resource requirements and building in contingency, as necessary.
• Work with finance team in preparation of budgets.
• Monitor finance expenditure and outputs relating to programme budget and report to Senior Leadership Team and Board as appropriate.

Information Management

• Present complex information and create briefs about projects in a way that make complex topics easier to understand and are appropriate for the audience.
• Coordinate and share learning of the work with the wider partnership to promote and ensure sustainability.
• Identify patterns, themes and ‘causal factors’ which trigger relapse behaviours in order to shape future commissioning of service and/or demand/capacity planning.
• Draft reports summarising status on issues, outcomes, and provide progress/highlight reports to ICB, including highlighting exceptions and risks ensuring mitigating action can be taken to keep programmes on track.
• Maintain a risk register and ensure actions are in place to mitigate unacceptable levels of risk.

Impact and Insight

• Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and information.
• Collate as required, qualitative and quantitative information and lead appropriate analysis to develop robust business cases.
• Analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making across programme portfolio.

General Requirements

Special conditions

Role Purpose

To create and maintain an effective wholistic service to the Community of 9 Religious Sisters resident in a single property in Colchester.

To establish and maintain effective services and standards including administration and record keeping, for the individual Sisters and for the smooth running and upkeep of the house.

To ensure healthcare assessments of Sisters needs are undertaken and that direct payments for their care are negotiated with the local authority, together with any further allowances to which they are entitled.

To and create a warm, comfortable and safe environment for the Sisters, offering flexibility and a range of support and care, enabling them to live their lives as safely, comfortably and independently as they can, with staff in place to support them.

To liaise with the Sisters in the Community and to work alongside them in creating and maintaining a happy, safe and welcoming home which provides high levels of support and care.

Principal Duties:

A Health and Wellbeing:  Main tasks

 · appointing, leading, training and co-ordinating a team of carers to provide adequate and appropriate 24/7 care

· preparing staff rotas and leading staff meetings as and when needed.

· facilitating the health and wellbeing of the sisters as requested by:

o Making health related appointments and driving/arranging transport for Sisters to and from such appointments.

o Accompanying residents to appointments and undertaking hospital visits as required, in agreement with the Community. Or allocating another carer to do the same

o Arranging for visits from medical and health professional visits (eg: District nurses, care staff, Physiotherapy etc.) as required.

o  ensuring Sisters who are unwell are provided with meals in their rooms if required

o sitting with Sisters and read to them and help with email and personal correspondence, if requested.

o Being aware of any changing needs and circumstances in Sister’s health and wellbeing and agree and arrange for additional support to meet the particular needs of the Sisters.

o As requested, providing additional personal support to a Sister who may have a health concern requiring additional help. This might on occasion, include some help with dressing and personal care.

o helping the Sisters with use of technology as requested including helping with emails and finding things online.

o encouraging and assisting those community members who want to be involved in gardening or any other activity.

B In conjunction with the Community Operations manager:

· To ensure that high levels of cleanliness are maintained, working with the contract cleaners.

· To liaise with the individuals providing those services if any changes or additional tasks are required.

· To understand and assist with all health and safety requirements and statutory obligations, in relation to the buildings and contents of the premises.

· To act on and record any accidents and safety concerns in a timely manner.

C Domestic needs: 

· To assist with the Sisters’ laundry as and when they require it.

· To ensure all curtains and bedlinen are cleaned and replaced when needed, as agreed by the Sisters.

· To ensure household equipment is maintained in accordance with legislation and needs and discuss and agree any replacement or additional equipment when required.

D Meals

· to employ and oversee kitchen/cooking staff as needed to ensure all meal and dietary requirements are met

· To undertake shopping for household requirements where required.

· To set up online shopping for the Sisters, liaising with them about their needs and helping them with this.

E General

· To facilitate the best use of the building for the Sister’s welfare and undertake practical tasks in relation to this as required.

· To ensure cover for all services is provided at all times and that the community is aware of any cover arrangements.

· To assist with the organisation of occasional events and funerals at the request of the Sisters.

· If requested, to make arrangements for refreshments for individuals, groups and meetings.

· To undertake any other duties that can reasonably be required of the role.

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST

To ensure that services are delivered in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and protocols such as The Survivors Trust, BACP and any specific requirements from the Management Committee, funders and commissioners.

To manage the helpline service by ensuring that the helpline volunteers provide consistent support and an effective service on the helpline. In addition, to be responsible for facilitating the provision of regular supervision sessions, ongoing support and reflective practice, ensuring best practice and assessing the performance of service delivery.

MAIN DUTIES

The Services Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• To coordinate the effective delivery of Trust House’s clinical services;

• To produce and keep up to date all resources and best practice policies and procedures;

• To develop and implement The Survivors Trust service standards and procedures and to support all staff and volunteers to work in accordance with these standards as well as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework;

Helpline management -

• To manage and ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and professional helpline for service users;

• To track and monitor service metrics to identify areas for improvement;

The Access & Participation Project Coordinator is a brand new, exciting role designed to support LSESU’s work around access and participation.
 

The successful candidate will play a lead role in identifying areas where there is a need/opportunity for targeted interventions to support the experiences of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, before putting then translating these into evidence-based proposals.
 

The Access & Participation Project Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering these programmes, as well as for reporting back on them and proactively seeking ways of driving continuous improvement.
 

The role will also oversee the delivery of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Mentoring Scheme. This landmark programme, that was last year nominated at the National Diversity Awards, pairs students from ethnic minority backgrounds with LSE alumni, who provide the former with mentoring and support during their studies.
 

The successful person will be responsible for reviewing the programme and seeking to build upon its fledgling success to ensure it is bigger, better and more impactful than ever.
 

This role will also involve close working with stakeholders at LSE, especially those working on the delivery of LSE’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).
 

You would be joining a fantastic and friendly Advice Team, consisting of the Advice Caseworker and Advice Manager, that sits within the wider Student Voice Department, and which together oversees all of the Union’s advice, policy, democratic, campaigning and representation work.
 

Given the breadth of work undertaken within the department, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary rescues abandoned, neglected, or abused horses and ponies, offering them sanctuary for life. In each of our five peaceful sanctuaries in Devon, we unlock a world of natural, wild beauty where horses, ponies, and people who were struggling can enjoy life again.

Our compassionate and knowledgeable team cares for nearly 200 horses and ponies at our sanctuaries. Additionally, over 400 horses and ponies are rehomed and offered sanctuary at home by our dedicated carers. Sanctuary care is supported by a welfare team assisting owners struggling with the enormous commitment of horse ownership.

Operating across four sites in Devon, we are proud to offer:

· An Equine Assisted Services program to our local community in Devon. This program provides a range of activities for vulnerable children, young people, and adults involving our rescued horses and ponies - many of whom have also endured adverse life experiences.

· A small retail network helps support our fundraising and brand awareness, and we have ambitious plans to build on our open days and transform our Coombe Park sanctuary into a permanent visitor centre.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive central database in relation to the programme. (For example; include participant numbers (starters /completers), participants name/ current role /nominating Diocese, programme structure / indicative content, delivery schedules and evaluation points for each cohort in each provider.)
• Lead on the establishment and co-ordination of a learning community drawn from the relevant delivery partner faculty, to meet not less than three times a year; ensuring programme insights and learning are captured, cross referenced with evaluation data and fed into future programme planning and on-going quality improvement.
• Manage administrative support which is provided by a Project Co-Ordinator.
• Coach senior leaders from any of the leadership programmes as the opportunities arise.
• Contribute to writing reports for key bodies when required, including the House of Bishops, the College of Bishops and General Synod if required.
• Deputise for the Head of Senior Leadership Development in internal and external meetings if required
• Contribute to the 'knowledge capital' on leadership in the Church and to the organisational learning that arises from the programmes.
• Participate in discernment panels for the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) as required

Overview of Role:

CAT is entering an exciting phase in its development.  In recent years the organisation has achieved significant growth in student numbers, membership and fundraising income.  We have ambitious plans for a transformative project, Cynefin: a flagship, sustainable Welsh visitor attraction and skills hub which is included in the portfolio for the Mid Wales Growth Deal.

The Head of Communications will be a member of the Project Management Team contributing to developing the vision, strategy and business case for Cynefin, supporting the capital fundraising campaign and leading on the engagement and communications.

Main Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership of CAT’s marketing, policy and communications (internal and external).

• Liaise with key stakeholders, represent CAT at events and act as media spokesperson on behalf of the organisation when required.

• Line manage, lead, support and motivate the marketing and communications team.

• Set, monitor and report on team and individual goals and KPIs.

• To procure, brief and manage relationships with external agencies including creative, PR agencies etc in order to deliver strategic objectives.

• Manage the departmental budget and monitor KPIs to:

• • Ensure strong ROI on all marketing activities in support of CAT’s strategic objectives.
  • Deliver on the key aims and objectives of CAT’s policy and communications work.

• Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies, tactics, campaigns and plans in support of key organisational objectives.

• To sit on the Project Management Group for Cynefin contributing to: developing the business case; effective project management; and communication and engagement strategies.

• Oversee/sign off key communications products, such as our supporter magazine, Clean Slate, newsletters, promotional materials, the annual report and press releases.

• Manage the brand to ensure consistent communication of the organisation’s vision, mission and values across all channels and to ensure that the integrity of the brand is maintained and promoted at all times.

• Put in place effective systems, policies and procedures for the effective management of CAT’s policy, communications and marketing work.

• To carry out research and analysis to improve our understanding of our target audiences and develop products to meet their needs.

• Manage crisis communications planning and response.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Philanthropy Manager - Trusts & Foundations (Health) to join our Fundraising & Supporter Development team to significantly increase philanthropic income for health fundraising priorities across King’s College London.
