Digital Transformation Project Manager – 1-year FTC
Location: This post is hybrid, with an office base in London, requiring an average of at least eight days a month face-to-face working, with occasional travel to other locations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We are looking for an experienced digital project manager to help us transform our website. BookTrust has evolved in recent years, with a new strategic focus, to better meet the needs of our users, delivery partners, supporters and colleagues. We now have the opportunity to re-imagine our website offer in line with these developments and as such we are investing in a full redesign and redevelopment of our website. At the same time, we want to find new ways of using digital technologies to further support and enhance our work and increase our impact – working towards a wider digital transformation at the charity.
This is very much a hands-on role, key to supporting the Head of Digital and wider Digital team with day-to-day project management of the website revamp, as well as helping us introduce new digital platforms, processes and skills. Initially the role will work with a cross-functional project team, key stakeholders and our digital agency to research, redesign and redevelop the website, looking to relaunch in early 2025.

As our Interim co-director: campaigns & communications you’ll support and oversee a team of talented campaigners and communicators delivering our vision of a zero carbon Britain built by, and for, everyone. You’ll lend your strategic expertise to ensure that our mission of inspiring people to take the action the climate crisis demands is fine tuned to the real opportunities and challenges that surround us. You’ll contribute your creativity to translating climate urgency into socially just and workable proposals the public can get behind - and get stuck into. And you’ll bring your expertise in organisational leadership to bear on our collective leadership model, responding to an ever shifting context while contributing to our strategic development.
You’ll oversee all of our campaigns work - directly supporting our campaigns Heads of roles - as well as supporting our Head of communications to tell the story of our work and build our audiences. You’ll coordinate our campaign development processes, provide support to staff building new work and lead on innovation of your own to help deliver our organisational strategy. You’ll have overall responsibility for ensuring we have a sufficient pipeline of project funding, and contribute to securing vital core funding too. Sitting alongside the Co-director: strategic development you’ll take the day to day decisions needed to keep Possible moving, and report to and engage with our excellent board of trustees. And you’ll ensure that our organisational culture and values, of which we’re proud, are lived and respected in everything we do.
This interim role is designed to cover a 12 month parental leave period, and will join during a period of wider organisational change. This creates opportunities for impact, but presents challenges too. You’ll therefore be someone who is comfortable working within organisational change, is able to adapt quickly to new circumstances, take initiative - and sees themselves as a team player.
The role sits within a collaborative leadership team, comprising two Co-directors until July 2025, and three from July-November 2025 (due to a Co-director returning from sabbatical). The Co-directors are jointly responsible for the strategic, efficient, sustainable and impactful running - and development - of the organisation, with each being assigned specific areas of accountability across key functions.

What you will bring

Demonstrable ability to work as part of a senior leadership team with a commitment to principles of shared leadership, and to take responsibility for decision making at a senior level.

Experience of organisational management and planning at a strategic level, including involvement in high level budgeting processes. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges of running a UK based small-medium charity, but that doesn’t mean you have to be working for one.

About you

Responsibilities:
Legacy Marketing Strategy and Stewardship
* To develop a legacy marketing strategy to help ensure that legacy influencing is an integral part of the Trusts marketing and promotion.
* Identify distinctive legacy audiences and segments amongst Trust supporters, and their underlying characteristics and motivations in order to tailor marketing strategies for each.
* Develop a legacy vision and powerful cases for support tailored to identified target audiences.

Part 1: Role Purpose:
The Global Press & PR Manager will play a vital role in growing awareness and exposure of Street Child, working with journalists, editors and media houses to build a consistent and pro-active media presence. Street Child’s Global MMC team is fully integrated into the whole organisation and our primary aim is to raise awareness of Street Child and act as a force-multiplier for fundraising efforts.
The role will explore new media relationships and re-ignite existing contacts, turbo-charging the value press and media generates for Street Child.
This is a role for a high-class media professional with a passion for our mission, great energy, imaginations and fantastic relationship building skills. This role requires an individual who will be based in our London office for a minimum of three days a week.
Tasks include delivering media coverage across global outlets, supporting the delivery of media training and briefings and the management/development of Street Child’s podcast.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
Delivering global media coverage (80%):
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with journalists across a range of broadcast, print and digital media outlets, looking beyond mainstream media to deliver global reach.
- Writing and publishing compelling, engaging press releases
- Manage and deliver media coverage on key campaigns and initiatives
- Support on the delivery of media briefings, including for the CEO, where required
- Lead and deliver PR campaigns, including influencer activations and activity
- Support the planning and management of overseas and UK trips for the purpose of generating coverage and content, often with journalists or high-profile supporters
- Be available for out of hours media, this will see you handling media enquiries and proactively pushing out stories at the weekend and out of hours during the week- this is crucial to communicating our rapid responses in a timely manner.
- Podcast management and development (10%)
- Develop and implement Street Child’s podcast strategy, aligning it with the broader communications and fundraising goals.
- Plan, research, and produce engaging podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality content that highlights Street Child’s programmes, impact stories, and key messages. This includes scripting, interviewing, editing, and post-production.
- Identify, reach out to, and coordinate with potential guests, including Street Child staff, beneficiaries, industry experts, and celebrity supporters. Manage these relationships to ensure a diverse and compelling line-up of interviewees.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to proactively lead the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, trusts and statutory bodies, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.

The Role
The Individual Giving Manager will play a vital role in fundraising activities to support our mission of providing care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. - To create and execute strategies to cultivate and grow individual giving income, including donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship programmes.
- To build strong relationships with individual donors and prospects through personalised communication, engagement events, and donor recognition initiatives.
- To coordinate all aspects of direct mail appeals and online fundraising to maximise donor engagement and revenue generation.
- To utilise Raiser's Edge database to track donor interactions, segment audiences, and analyse fundraising performance to inform decision-making.
- To oversee all income processing; some processes are the responsibility of the Individual Giving Manager, others are carried out by the Database Manager and the Community & Events team.
- To work closely with the Digital Fundraising Manager and Marketing team to develop campaign objectives, messaging, stewardship plans and marketing strategies.
- To set up and undertake monitoring and evaluation reporting to assess campaign performance against agreed objectives and ensure these insights inform future decision making.
- To lead on the Local Hospice Lottery, including strategic aspects of the Lottery to drive the growth of membership, monitoring membership progress and trends, and to resolve issues with the general public with regards to complaints
