The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.
We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.
The Director of Income Generation & Partnerships, along with the Director of Services & Development, lead the organisation's small staff team to deliver vital services to an average of 500 people every year. The Director of Income Generation is a vital link in The Food Chain, ensuring income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of all our services and activities, and setting the organisation’s strategic direction for the achievement of our charitable purpose.
Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. We were founded by volunteers, and are proud that volunteers are still key to the deliver of our charitable services. The Food Chain family is vast - it’s not at all uncommon for us to be out fundraising and someone run up to us with a shout of “Food Chain! I volunteered for you in 1994!”
Position: Director of Income Generation & Partnerships
Responsible to: Board of Trustees
Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), core hours of 9.00am–5.30pm but flexible working hours will be considered.
Salary: £42,436 per annum

Strategic Management

Financial management

Lead on the day-to-day management of all financial operations, including forecasting and the annual planning and budgeting process, working closely with the SMT and Trustees

The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.

A passion for hospice care and a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships is also key to this role.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- This role is required to lead, plan, develop and deliver the legacy fundraising strategy in line with agreed targets within the fundraising team.
- To build, manage and nurture relationships with supporters and potential legators.
- To create a sustainable legacy pipeline for St Christopher’s and to ensure that legacy increases and continues to be the lifeblood of our voluntary income.
- Managing the Legacy Administration Officer and overseeing all legacy administration activity to optimise legacy income and ensure all gifts in wills left to the hospice are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and internal practises and maximise legacy income for the hospice.

The Corporate and Individual Donor Manager will play a leading role in driving our fundraising strategy, cultivating and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and individual donors to secure vital funding for our programmes. This role will work across the three Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charities: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity and Guy’s Cancer Charity. Working closely with managers and officers supporting each charity this Funding Programme Manager will provide additional resource and resilience within the small, high-functioning team, across four key areas 1) grant management, 2) evaluation and learning 3) project development and 4) project management.
Key Responsibilities
Grant development, management and delivery
- Working closely with the Funding Managers for each of our three charities, provide additional support across the end-to-end grant-making process, including development and delivery of projects in a wide range of size and scope delivering impact across Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
- Proactively develop and manage a pipeline of funding proposals, working with Trust colleagues to support the development of ideas and high-quality proposals.
- Support development and delivery of funding streams and opportunities relevant to the needs of the Trust and as a means of attracting impactful projects from a range of staff, including annual open call-outs.

We support families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. We’re there whatever the outcome, for as long as needed, so that no family has to cope alone.
The charity was founded in 2004 by our now Chief Executive and has grown enormously over that time. We currently have partnerships with 9 hospitals who refer families to us for our support, which ranges from therapies and counselling, to respite holidays and special family experiences.

Main Purpose of the Role
Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.
Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to maximise income secured from major gifts and to work with the Director of Fundraising on the strategic development of philanthropic giving at the Centre.
This is an exciting role in our fundraising team, where you will manage existing philanthropic donor relationships and work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive.
Working with the Director of Fundraising, you will also develop a philanthropic fundraising campaign to uplift income for the Centre’s 40th Anniversary through 2026.

We're looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our small team, working alongside two Events Managers to deliver three cultivation events, including a large-scale carol concert at St Paul's Cathedral. This is a fixed term contract until December '24.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.

We're seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as a part-time Events Assistant. This new role is critical to expanding NHYC's events programme, attracting new supporters, and enhancing our fundraising efforts with exciting activities for our existing funders to stay connected to our work.

Prospectus is excited to be partnering with the St Paul’s Cathedral in the search for a Senior Individual Giving and Membership Manager to join their collaborative development team.
St Paul’s Cathedral is a community of worship and mission with a particular role in supporting the Bishop of London in her work across the diocese and beyond. With the outstanding building and the iconic dome, they bring together their resources to make a tangible difference to people’s lives, shaping policy and attitudes to tackle social injustice, specifically in the area of young people’s mental health.
As the Senior Individual Giving and Membership Manager, you will focus on leading individual giving fundraising for the organisation. With an incredible site with thousands of visitors every year, this role will look at shaping strategy to engage these potential supporters, but also wider support from individuals wanting to support the Cathedral. Leading on all individual and regular giving, membership programmes and legacy fundraising, this role will have real impact on supporting the diversification of fundraising.
To be successful as the Senior Individual Giving and Membership Manager, you will have previous fundraising experience in individual giving or membership fundraising. This person will also understand how to run fundraising appeals and working towards financial targets. They will need to be able use data to make informed decision on individual giving strategy and implement these to achieve growth.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices two days per week. The salary for this role is £50,000.
