We are seeking an experienced fundraiser to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives. The post-holder will lead on growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling operational duties, such as overseeing a fit-for-purpose database.
This is a new role with a significant input into our plans and strategies for the future. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and oversee most fundraising income generation.
The Fundraiser will build positive relationships to secure significant income, develop links specifically with churches and individuals and bring in regular/targeted income through recurring donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating campaigns). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.
- Assist with setting up a CRM database with responsibility and maintaining appropriate data capture for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Work with Senior Leadership to develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark, with support from the CEO.
Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):
- Experience of all fundraising methods
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to balance competing priorities
- Experience working on either eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems
- Research skills, including identifying, analysing, and monitoring potential funders
Desirable knowledge/expertise
- Degree level qualification / Marketing, Finance or CRM qualification
- Working knowledge of local church culture
- Target-driven
- Experience of working with disadvantaged groups
- Understanding of or lived experience of issued faced by Pecan service users

Trusts and Foundations Manager
This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations.
In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.
Demonstrable, transferable trusts and foundations experience and knowledge, (preferably within the humanitarian & charity sector), will hold you in good stead for this exciting new role.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Development: Develop and manage the trusts and foundations portfolio and create compelling proposals for future appeals and core costs income. Showcase new ideas and innovative approaches for growing and developing a pipeline of new prospects. Develop engaging stewardship plans.
Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. Remain compliant with grant terms and conditions, ensuring you are clearly communicating the unique contours of the DEC model whilst providing comprehensive and inspiring impact reporting.
Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact and collaboration with internal teams to collate a high-quality suite of communication materials and stewardship plans specific to a trust and foundation audience. Proactively reach out and build long-lasting relationships with funders to reach ambitious fundraising targets.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor, measure and evaluate progress against the DEC’s strategic goals and funds raised from trusts and foundations. Prepare regular reports for senior management and trustees on the development, progress and future strategic actions for trusts and foundations at the DEC.
Essential qualities, experience, knowledge, skills, include:
- A track record of securing five- and six-figure donations from trusts and foundations.
- Experience of successfully executing cultivation plans and retaining positive, key relationships with trusts and foundations on behalf of a charity.
- Experience of producing professional and compelling funding propositions for a trust and foundation audience.
- Experience of delivering highly engaging and personalised stewardship journeys and meeting the reporting requirements of charitable trusts and foundations
- High level of technical ability with appropriate computer software packages and data analysis and visualisation software [i.e., Microsoft Office, Adobe, Box].
- Proven financial acumen to comfortably evaluate financial information and manage budgets.
- High attention to detail and numerate accuracy in analysing and using data and financial information, to write coherent reports.
- Clear and confident communicator both orally and in writing [in English].
- Able to present persuasively and influence decision making.
- Able to use initiative and judgement to proactively identify and resolve problems.

About the role
As our Head of Legacy and Mid-Value, you will lead the dedicated Legacy and Mid-Value Squad to set and deliver predominantly one-to-many direct marketing strategies that will allow us to unlock the great potential we have within our large and committed supporter-base for donors to give at a higher level either during their life-time and/or by leaving a legacy for children.
You will work within a scrum (championing agile ways of working within the team) to deliver ambitious results and will collaborate closely with the other teams across Fundraising and Marketing as well as contributing to global communities of specialists in Legacy and Mid-Value fundraising.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Legacy Engagement and Mid-value Squad to create top-tier fundraising programs.
- Develop and implement integrated plans, budgets, and forecasts for Legacy, In-memory, and mid-value fundraising to achieve long-term goals.
- Establish and maintain a clear vision to achieve the Squad's objectives over various time frames.
- Collaborate closely with the Loyalty Squad, Regional teams, and the Philanthropy team to execute the strategy.
- Create and apply new strategies to promote legacies to key groups like volunteers, high-value donors, and in-memory donors.
- Oversee supporter relationship management and pipeline development for both programs.
- Use data to continually optimize our work for the best use of resources and highest income in the mid to long term.
- Support squad members to independently complete tasks for maximum impact.
- Advocate for the needs of legacy and mid-value audiences in cross-organizational projects.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven experience of providing effective and inspiring leadership
- A good understanding of legacy and individual giving programmes and what drives success
- Experience of managing internal and external creative, direct marketing, telemarketing and digital agencies
- Extensive experience in legacy and/or mid-value fundraising, including prospecting, pipeline development and stewardship
- Proven experience in all the levers of fundraising performance and journey planning (data, media, content, creative)
- Experience using data analysis, insight to improve fundraising performance or pipeline management

Our parental engagement journey with schools starts by focussing on reading. Our digital reading log is an inclusive way for schools and families to record reading, replacing physical reading records.
Our full Maths and English programme builds on the positive habits fostered by our reading log. It replaces traditional Maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.
We are working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them. Learnings are disseminated through the Parental Engagement Forum and amplified through the Fair Education Alliance.
About the Role
There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to grow our Fundraising team to the next level.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team to deliver Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be strengthening our existing funding pipeline through prospects research and managing the donor database. They will also be responsible for drafting compelling applications and reports for new and existing donors. They will develop and adapt our fundraising resources and provide wider support to the team.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will also be responsible for managing Learning with Parents external communications, including creating and posting engaging blogs and social media posts, drafting the Annual Impact Report and managing the organisation’s brand guidelines.
Lastly, the Fundraising and Communications Officer will provide logistical support for the Parental Engagement Forum.

Fundraising support

Research prospects who are a good fit for our work including corporate funders, trusts and foundations, High Net Worth Individuals and Sector Awards

Working with our Fundraising Manager, build our funder pipeline in order to support accurate forecasting for the organisation

Working with our Fundraising Manager, craft well-written project proposals and briefings to inspire and engage funders including corporate funders, individuals and Trusts and Foundations

Cultivate and steward existing and new donors, helping to secure ongoing support and identify potential uplifts

Build relationships across the Learning with Parents team to source and manage information about our work, keeping up to date with progress and impact

Manage Learning with Parents’ reporting schedule, feeding into our draft reports as required

Draft and spend out engaging and impactful quarterly funder newsletters

General support across different areas of fundraising, including but not limited to: working with the wider team to draft cases for support for new projects; keeping existing fundraising resources up to date and developing new ones as required; keeping our databases up to date; and supporting with event planning.
External communications

Manage the charity’s social media accounts, working across the Learning with Parents teams to ensure regular and engaging content

About you

Specific Responsibilities:
· Through the design and delivery of excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, you will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Rainham Food Bank across the community to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.
· You’ll engage with local community groups, associations, events, schools and businesses in order to grow Rainham Food Bank’s community fundraising reach and income.

Your key responsibilities include:
Digital Programme management
- Develop, implement and optimise innovative multi-channel digital strategies that drive online visibility and performance on platforms such as web, e-mail, organic social and paid media.

Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT) is a youth development outdoor learning charity which has been improving the skills and life chances of disadvantaged young people since 1956.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Trusts & Grants fundraiser to join our small, hardworking team.
The role holder will contribute towards achieving our ambitious yearly income target by helping to maintain our well-established Trusts & Grants portfolio, as well as identifying new funding opportunities as we seek to grow and diversify this income stream.
