We are seeking a motivated HR Talent & Development Officer to join our supportive and team. To be successful in this role, you will have HR/Talent & Development experience and a professional and collaborative approach.

The successful applicant will manage employee development and engagement processes throughout the employment lifecycle, from recruitment to exit. Additionally, this role will hold responsibility for the management of the end-to-end recruitment and the onboarding process. The candidate will collaborate with team managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future recruitment and development needs and use creative methods to successfully fill vacancies and develop and engage Designability’s workforce.

Providing proactive and effective administration of Designability’s HR function and assisting the Designability team to enable the aims of the organisation to be achieved are key to this role. You will need to have the ability to carry out tasks both autonomously and collaboratively in the areas of recruitment, employee engagement and training & development.

We are looking for someone with a proactive and organised approach to work, who has a flexible with a can-do attitude to their work. Although not essential, a CIPD Level 5 would be beneficial and Good I.T. skills and high level of proficiency in working with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) are must.

We are recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

A key requirement is to provide personal one to one and group support to children and young people to ensure they are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate activities.

OVERVIEW

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.

As a Rising Sun Administrator you will be a key member of our frontline team working alongside specialist domestic abuse workers and providing essential support as a valued member of the team.

You will be involved in a range of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of our services, including processing incoming referrals and answering our main office phoneline, dealing with referral queries as well as supporting survivors to access support. You will also be involved in coordinating our group programmes for survivors, and our One Stop Shop drop ins.

As the first point of contact for both professionals and survivors you will be instrumental in ensuring they feel heard and supported, through your empathetic and understanding response.

In addition to day to day administrative tasks you will have the opportunity to attend training and learn about our domestic abuse services and the Rising Sun Framework which underpins everything we do. There are also regular team meetings and activities to promote wellbeing which are a great way to get to know your amazing colleagues.

Admin Tasks

We’re looking for a Data Officer to join our growing Young Sounds team. You will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes.

About Young Sounds UK

Young Sounds exists because musical talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t: family finances and other obstacles too often get in the way. We’re here to change this in two key ways:

• We support young musicians from low-income families with funding and other help;

• We support music education through training, advocacy and research.

We became an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation in April 2023 and also joined an expanded cohort of National Youth Music Organisations (NYMOs). We currently support around 900 individual young people across the UK every year and demand for our support is increasing. It’s an exciting time to join a pioneering organisation at the forefront of British music education.

The role

The Data Officer will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes. Young Sounds is a reflective organisation. We’ve always invested time and effort in seeking out, understanding and demonstrating the difference our programmes are making. We believe in learning from experience. This is what we mean by evaluation.

Since 2023 we have committed to evaluating all three of our main programmes, each of which tackles a key barrier to young people’s musical progression. Each quarter we review our progress against both our Arts Council England Activity Plan (where measures of success are agreed annually) and the actions we’ve set for each year against each of Arts Council England’s four Investment Principles. We believe that data plays an integral part in telling the story of our work, and we regularly draw upon the information collated through evaluation to update our wider funding base (e.g. Trusts and Foundations) on the work we are doing. The Data Officer will work with the External Evaluator to enable us to report effectively and accurately on our progress to all our funders.

Working closely with our National Campaigns Manager and Public Affairs Manager to plan, develop, and deliver impactful campaigns that improve access to essential support and services for people living with and affected Motor Neurone Disease (MND). You will collaborate with colleagues in the Services and Partnerships and Policy and Campaigns teams to identify challenges and failures in local services, turning these insights into powerful integrated local campaigns that bring about meaningful change.

Working with volunteers is a crucial aspect of this role. Engaging with both online and offline volunteers, you will provide them with the tools and support they need to amplify our campaigns. By creating compelling campaign assets, such as emails, toolkits, and reports, you will help to ensure our message reaches a wide audience.

You will represent the Association in collaborations with external stakeholders, including coalitions, to further our campaigning goals. Your efforts will contribute directly to the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns and events across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, ensuring we meet our objectives, deliver against targets, and make a tangible impact.

Additionally, you will support the Policy & Campaigns Assistant in managing correspondence and enquiries, ensuring people living with and affected by MND are not only heard but are actively involved in shaping and delivering our campaigns. Youth Worker (Women's Worker) – 9 Month Maternity Cover
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate team player to join our growing team as a full-time Youth Worker (Women’s Worker) on a fixed term 9-month maternity cover contract. 
In this role, you will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in sharing knowledge and expertise in gender-informed work, leading the delivery of our weekly Women and Non-Binary space, facilitating group sessions and supporting a caselist of young women experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Ideally you should be experienced in working with young people aged 18-25 and/or have demonstrable experience working directly with women (of any age). You will understand gender informed practice and have experience or transferable skills working with those who are survivors of domestic violence and other gender-based violence. You will also be committed to the safeguarding of all young people and delivering an inclusive and trauma-informed service.
You should be experienced designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities, able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment and be skilled in engaging a diverse range of young people in positive activities.

Service Manager – Jobs, Education and Training (JET) – Maternity Cover
We are looking for a dynamic, organised and proactive manager to join the Youth Work Team and support our mission to enable young people who are homeless, facing homelessness or unsafe to achieve independence and positive futures.
We have an ambitious plan to deliver an innovative and varied programme of youth work, jobs, employment and education (JET) and lifeskills to young people this year and we are searching for an exceptional candidate to help us succeed in this vision.
We are looking for a candidate who is committed to delivering high quality services to homeless young people. The successful person will be responsible for delivering an innovative and youth-led JET and lifeskills programme as well as supporting with the coordination of our daily day centre service to young people aged 16-24.
You will have experience motivating and inspiring frontline teams, maintaining and building a network of relationships with relevant external agencies and be able to work dynamically and confidently in a fast-paced day centre environment. We’re looking for a candidate who can think on their feet, demonstrate initiative and proactivity, and is an excellent problem-solver.
The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working collaboratively across our organisation. They will be committed to the safeguarding of young people and helping us to develop an inclusive and trauma-informed service.

The Housing Income Manager is Refuge’s expert lead and responsible for all elements of housing income management for our accommodation, including the policy framework, service charge calculation and rent setting, housing income budgets, training and management of rent collection, reporting and ensuring that all the processes meet the high standards set by the organisation and regulations in place.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA).

The IGVA will work closely with victims/survivors of gender-based violence, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support across all risk levels. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors and to improve agencies responses to DA and VAWG.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Building Advisor. You will be responsible for ensuring that Refuge complies with statutory building and property obligations and monitor changes in industry standards and regulators requirements. The post holder will also monitor obligations in property agreements and support corporate services and provide technical advice which may require research. The post holder will collect property data to demonstrate compliance and for reporting purposes as well as update Refuge’s property polices accordingly and train people.

Over the last few years, NHYC has grown to a team of over 50 staff.  This role will add capacity to our current Admin Team, supporting the organisation with increased demand around finance, admin and resources. You will work as part of a small, yet critical team to ensure the organisation and our services run smoothly.  You should be well organised, a great communicator, and experienced in or willing to learn financial procedures. The role is based at our day centre in Camden.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helath Advocate Educator (HAE). The post holder will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female and male victims of domestic violence and abuse aged 16 years and over.

The post holder will work in partnership with a local clinical lead to deliver the model and will participate and support the delivery of safeguarding training and awareness raising sessions to primary and secondary care staff and other multi-agency teams where needed.

Hours: 18.75 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with a Requirement for occasional 12:30-20:30 duty shift
