We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director, Technology who will be the lead technology expert for the organisation. This is a new role offering the scope to shape Refuge’s response to the technology challenges we face in executing our strategy and achieving our mission.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high-quality IT support service through effective contract management of the recently appointed outsourcing company, including the resolution of any remaining on-boarding issues. You will bring a strong understanding of IT security practices, regulatory compliance, and cyber security protocols. You will also be a trusted advisor for senior colleagues, providing expertise, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions for modernisation, automation, and cost optimisation across the organisation. You will provide advice and technical guidance to teams who manage their own applications and systems (Finance, Fundraising, People and Culture, Helpline) and manage the procurement of new IT software solutions with key investments in case management, housing management and finance systems in the early planning stages. And you will take management responsibility for Refuge’s well-established and respected Data and Performance team, ensuring we continue to report to funders on standards of performance across our services.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) is seeking a skilled and inspirational CEO to lead our charity through the next stage of its development and the continued delivery of our core mission of improving the lives and wellbeing of men (and women) through the Men’s Shed movement across the UK.
We are looking for a Chief Executive with the energy, vision and experience to take on the strategic leadership and direction of our well-respected and fast-growing national charity, which brings tangible benefits to men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention across the UK. Your experience in executive leadership in the nonprofit sectors will ensure the good management and statutory compliance of UKMSA. Key Skills
• Leadership – the ability to motivate, develop, and deliver through a team of staff and volunteers such that the organisation meets its goals.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills – these will need to be excellent (including written communication) in order to build rapport and effective relationships across a range of people, from our members to the general public, political figures and senior executives in other organisations. As UKMSA’s public face, the CEO must also be adept at showcasing our work, including in the media and to parliamentary and other government bodies.

- Proven Leadership: Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within the charity sector, demonstrating successful organisational management, strategic planning, board and team leadership.
- Financial Acumen: Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, bid writing and securing funding for charitable organisations, with a proven track record in results and diversifying income streams.

A new role as Senior Marketing Manager within the community and events team at an innovative, well-known research and support Charity. Joining for an initial 12 month FTC, the role will be pivotal to the success of the fundraising team’s growth, you will be the expert voice of marketing across community and events.

You’ll have experience of working with external digital and OOH marketing agencies to deliver effective and engaging campaigns, and you’ll feel confident in ensuring the charity’s best interests are always at the heart of their work. Main purposes of job
As our Charity Account Director within the Client Services team, you will play the lead role in driving business growth across the Charity sector in line with our 4-year plan that we launched at the start of this new financial year (April 2024).
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, leading, inspiration and coaching of our Charity Account Management team (from Senior Account Managers to Account Executives, possibly Apprentices down the line), while at the same time looking after a select number of high value Charity partners.

Main responsibilities
Client Strategic Influence: Will play a huge part in creating, influencing and implementing strategy for a very small number of extremely high value, lifelong clients surmounting to a multi-million pound portfolio. Without your involvement, our clients would struggle.
Inspiring, Mentoring, Coaching: We expect the successful candidate to have a huge passion for developing teams and individuals. You should gravitate towards people and be an inspirational figure that the team will want to seek knowledge and support from. You should have the ability to help integrate and intertwine individuals with their clients, making them an indispensable extension to their team.
Reporting Lead duties: All members of the Charity team will report into this role and the individual will be responsible for all aspects of people management.
Living in the Detail: With such a huge client base within the Charity sector, offering a variety of services (Merchandise, Design, Storage & Fulfilment), we expect the successful candidate to have the capacity and ambition to immerse themself in the detail, investing an incredible amount of time getting to know individual accounts and clients alike. Much of this will take place in “real life” through discussion with Account Managers and clients, though detail will also come from Synergist, our CRM platform.
Strategic Implementation: Able to support the development and implementation of commercial strategy with the aim being to accelerate the growth of Bluestep as a business and industry player. Adaptability will be required as trends and needs develop over time.
Client Relationship Management: Love & Care is central to everything we do (Net Promoter Score is a key metric that we have introduced to the business) and your philosophy must be focused around this. Our Love & Care Manager is the key to unlocking the rewards of this and a resource that must be utilised to the best of your ability. This role will require management and delegation of clients when the team are on leave.
Sales and Revenue Generation: This role will require integrated working with our Client Services Director and Marketing team to ensure that sales support is directed in the right areas at the right times. This ties in with our recruitment strategy and demands. With the candidate’s standing within the Charity community, we also expect this person to unlock significant opportunities within the sector.
Collaboration: This role works very closely with our Client Services Director, who has overall responsibility for all Client Services related activity, and our Love & Care Manager, who will underpin and support all operational and client requirements for the team. Generally, this role requires collaboration across the business in order to guarantee success.
Budget Management: Responsible for creating and monitoring annual, quarterly and monthly sales and GP margin budgets across the Charity sector by individual. Responsible for communicating and agreeing budgets across the team.
Reporting: Develop and update reporting tools that keep the team and management abreast of performance, including presentations within our fortnightly “Scrum” meetings. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to leadership.
Drive change on Industry Trends: Not only offering solutions both internally to Management and to clients in order that these are addressed, but playing a huge role in ensuring they are implemented. This person should be an influential member of the sector community.

Leading a talented team of six, the Head of Digital Mobilisation and Engagement is responsible for Refuge’s digital engagement and mobilisation work, collaborating with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Policy, to continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of Refuge’s work.
They will implement our Digital Engagement and Mobilisation Strategy, delivering sustainable growth and value to Refuge, with an emphasis on digital mobilisation to shift social norms, change policy and rasie income. An expert in mobilisation strategy, social, email, website, content, paid media, and digital tactics, they will also provide analysis and insight to improve programme performance, whilst ensuring we are testing, learning, and optimising all the time.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of developing and delivering digital strategies to mobilise the public with innovative campaigns, recruit new supporters, grow income, and deepen engagement, in addition, they will possess deep knowledge of the theory and principles of digital engagement, campaigning and fundraising.

About the role.
Working closely with the Dean, you will help shape the culture of a modern, forward-thinking cathedral. You’ll collaborate on cultural change, community engagement, and inter-departmental cooperation aligned with the cathedral’s mission. You’ll drive strategic goals, ensuring strong staff management and successful outcomes. Balancing the needs of worshippers with the cathedral’s roles as a visitor attraction, artistic venue, and historic site, you’ll guide strategic planning and operations.
A key focus will be securing financial health through commercial activities, fundraising, and property management, ensuring stability and growth. You’ll manage daily operations in line with priorities and budgets, streamlining structures and ensuring efficiency through risk management, compliance, and staff development.
As Chapter Clerk, you’ll ensure governance and regulatory compliance, support policy reviews, and manage health and safety, data protection, and committees. As Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll ensure best practices and uphold the highest standards of protection across the cathedral.
Who we are looking for.
You will share our passion for the cathedral's mission, vision, and values, and will actively support them. We are seeking a candidate with senior leadership experience in not-for-profit or faith-based environments, with a proven ability to unite diverse teams around a shared mission. Experience in managing multi-departmental organisations and overseeing income-generating portfolios, such as property, fundraising, retail, or events.
You should have experience working with boards of trustees and building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong financial management and project management skills, including overseeing budgets and delivering major projects, are required. We are looking for a collaborative leader who can inspire and empower teams while fostering a supportive environment. Experience in health and safety, HR, and staff development is also important.

This role is part of the Global Fundraising Directorate of over 50 staff, consisting of Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Legacies, Digital, CRM and Brand teams, based internationally, primarily in the UK (HQ) and our six other fundraising markets in the USA and Europe.
About the Role:
They are looking for an impressive and talented Associate Director Philanthropy (UK & Europe) to lead their successful and growing UK & European focused Philanthropy programme and team. Reporting into the Global Director of Fundraising, you will lead a dynamic and ambitious team responsible for significant growth from UK and European philanthropic partners and seek new opportunities in other geographies (outside North America), working closely with the US Director of Philanthropy. This is an exciting time to join the Global Philanthropy team and contribute to delivering their mission to end factory farming by 2040. With growing awareness of the devastating impact of factory farming not only on animals, but on human health and the environment, now is a unique moment to be raising funds for their work and bringing new donors on board.
Their Global Philanthropy team has been successful in securing income growth over recent years, and they have invested in their team to build on this momentum, expanding into continental Europe and growing their UK team, as well as their US team. This role will lead further growth, ensuring their existing relationships with Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, corporate donors and partners flourish and grow, while having a focus on identifying and building new relationships and funding opportunities, broadening our international scope and ambitions beyond their UK and US bases.
About You:
To succeed in this exciting role, you will need to have significant experience in fundraising or philanthropy, ideally in a similar position. You'll need to have proven success and be motivated by working in a fast-paced and complex international environment, with the flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally, as needed, and sometimes at short notice. You will personally lead the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors at a high level (6- and 7-figure) which will primarily consist of HNWIs and Trusts and Foundations, and have a focus on identifying and developing new prospect relationships. You'll have a collaborative and ambitious approach, and have previous experience of managing a international philanthropy teams, with a proven track record of raising substantial donations, particularly at or above the £500k level, with experience at the £1 million level, being highly desirable.
You'll need to be a motivated philanthropy leader, with a passion for animal welfare, sustainability, and creating impactful international change. Adept at building high-value donor relationships across diverse markets, you will be able to demonstrate a clear strategic vision, and a collaborative approach that drives growth within mission-driven organisations. You’ll need to have strong leadership skills, that can enable you to mentor your team, foster a collaborative environment, and set clear goals aligned with our mission. Fluent in English, and ideally another European language (such as French), you will excel at engaging diverse stakeholders, presenting complex ideas clearly, and managing budgets effectively. Job Purpose
Working closely with the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive will provide leadership and operation direction to Age Concern Luton, Working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) they will be responsible for developing and implementing the agreed strategy and achieving the business plans of the organisation, by effectively managing and developing the resources available to the organisation. They will represent the organisation externally by promoting its services and values.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Work with the Board in developing a strategy for the organisation.
- Lead and develop a welcoming environment which reflects an inclusive organisation that values diversity and embeds equal opportunity for all stakeholders.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in collaboration with the SMT, ensuring strategic plans and policies are developed and implemented to facilitate the achievement of the organisation’s business plans and objectives.
