Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the operational management of HSSW ensuring that the staff and financial resources are deployed effectively in line with budgets and funding requirements

Undertake the Strategic Lead role on ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare within the charity

Report to and support the Board of Trustees in ensuring the effective strategic management, development and future funding of the charity.

Ensure accurate records are maintained and readily accessible, enabling high standards of reporting and GDPR compliance

Ensure that HR practice meets current statutory requirements

Ensure that HSSW employees maintain high standards of practice in supporting families within the Home-Start model and that they adhere to HSSW policies and best practice

Work with the team to develop a culture of continuous improvement through effective feedback mechanisms; engaging with stakeholders to identify future needs and implement improvements.

Ensure all Home-Start policies, processes and procedures are implemented consistently and reviewed regularly, so that HSSW is viewed as a role model for best practice.

Ensure that HSSW meets or exceeds the Home-Start Quality Assurance standards and that any QA reviews mandated by HSUK are carried out in a timely manner.

Attend and present at all Board meetings, and other out of hours activities.

The Funding Management team is looking for a Funding Manager, in Belfast.
This role is responsible for all aspects of funding management across a portfolio of restricted funds, ensuring that we are meeting all the Funders and The Trusts requirements. Working effectively across teams to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance, to allow The Trust to maximise its support to young people.
You will use your contract/funding management skills to ensure that we are able to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance. By working across teams and drawing on your time management, leadership, communication, governance, audit and problem solving skills you will ensure that expenditure claims and reports are compiled accurately and in a timely fashion, and that we comply with all reporting and evidencing requirements for output monitoring.
You will to ensure that The Trust has accurate monthly accounts by preparing drawdown, accrual and deferral figures for the monthly finance return and regularly reviewing the Debtors Report to ensure sufficient cash flow and will manage all funder and internal audits and ensure recommendations are acted upon, sharing best practice across the team.

About the Role:

Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser

About the role:
We are looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to secure new corporate partnerships to help fund the growth of our care services, and to build relationships with companies to help them achieve their CSR goals.
Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager. You will be part of a team to drive Rainbow Trust’s Corporate income, building and maintaining the pipeline through effective networking, prospecting, and stewardship. You will be responsible for a varied and fulfilling portfolio of accounts to whom you will become a main contact and provide excellent corporate account management. Some accounts raising six figure sums, to whom you will become a main contact and provide excellent account management.
You will work collaboratively towards a ‘one team one target’ approach across the Fundraising and Engagement department and ensure that the use of technology is maximized and all processes are subject to continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity to maintain a breadth of fundraising experience to position yourself for future fundraising roles with increased responsibility.

About Orchid Cancer Appeal
Over 55,000 men are diagnosed every year in the UK with testicular, prostate, or penile cancer. Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working in the area of male-specific cancers.
Established in 1996 by testicular cancer patient Colin Osborne, and the oncologist who saved his life, Professor Tim Oliver, the charity exists to saves lives through funding a world-class research programme, awareness and education campaigns and a range of vital Nurse-led support services. These services include Orchid Male Cancer Information Nurse Specialists, a freephone National Male Cancer Helpline, a Testicular Cancer and Penile Cancer Counselling Service, a portfolio of online and paper-based resources, an award-winning testicular cancer microsite called “Your Privates” and a school’s resource pack, a dedicated website, community education programme including talks, presentations and Roadshows, and a penile cancer support service in Scotland.

About the role:
