As a Community Fundraiser, with expert relationship building skills, you’ll be responsible for engaging with current and potential new supporters within this area to generate leads to raise funds for the charity.

This position is home based and you will be required to travel across Yorkshire.

 What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise local support, provide exceptional stewardship and achieve financial targets in line with the community fundraising strategy. 

• Actively support, motivate and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring opportunities realise their full potential and key supporters are retained.

• Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising activities such as local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson’s event series.

• Lead in developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and collaborating with central teams.

• Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles and at least two of the following fundraising disciplines: community, events, corporate and major donors. 

• Experience of setting and effectively managing budgets to achieve agreed targets. 

• The ability to identify and maximise on opportunities to grow and develop income.

We are seeking a Training & Engagement Manager to work across our portfolio of programmes, particularly focusing on Education in the North East of England and our Parental Engagement Programme. As our Training & Engagement Manager, Parents & Education, you will be an active member of our programmes team and will work across our portfolio of programmes, with particular focus on the education and parental engagement programmes.

You will have responsibility for stakeholder engagement, developing relationships and promoting Ygam training in the North-East of England (Education) and nationally (Parents). You will recruit suitable delegates to workshops, working closely with a range of stakeholders from schools, youth organisations, children’s services to parents and carers.

The role 

In this role you will support the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver fundraising initiatives that will support existing corporate partners and securing new gifts. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day account management of existing corporate partners, new business development and the co-ordination of our payroll giving program. This will include research, prospect development, donor cultivation & stewardship, verbal & written presentations and all associated administration.   Additionally, you will contribute to projects within the philanthropy & partnerships team such as events and webinars; and the wider fundraising team to collaborate on prospect development, funding opportunities and volunteering.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks. Agile decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.

You may have fundraising experience, but this is not essential if you have sales experience. 

You will have:

- Excellent customer service skills with a background in fundraising or sales.
- Experience in new business development including identifying, researching and contacting cold prospects.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Strong administrative, planning and prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail.
- Competency with all standard Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of using a supporter database or CRM

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.

The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal!  In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.

The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.

Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.

Key Focus areas

• Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.

Key Criteria:

- Proven track record in partnership management within a corporate-charity partnership setting.

- Experience of meeting and exceeding income targets.

- Experience of identifying, prospecting, and securing income opportunities with corporate partners.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join the team on a temporary basis. As Interim Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will deliver trust and foundation fundraising activities in support of the charity, ideally growing unrestricted/designated funding through this new funding stream. This is a part-time, (2 days a week) temporary role that will last approximately 3 months, remote working within the UK. £250 a day Ltd Company.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have demonstrative success in securing up to six figure partnerships. You will have proven experience of devising budgets and project plans and reporting against them. You will have an understanding of sector best practise and relevant fundraising/charity legislation. You will be a highly skilled communicator with fine-tuned influencing and relationship building skills. A wide range of up-to-date knowledge and experience of fundraising, ideally within International Development and/or environment would be a bonus to have however it is not essential for the role.

About The Role

This is a key role within the marketing team at an exciting time of growth for the charity. The Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager will develop and implement campaigns that build our supporter base along with retaining our existing supporters. Through compelling and personalised supporter journeys, you will ensure our supporters feel like our partners in ensuring that no child’s life chances are limited.

You will communicate effectively with our supporters and build a strong connection with them by placing supporter care at the heart of our work, while also engaging potential new supporters.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for all supporter care activities and our acquisition campaigns. You will also manage the Supporter Care Officer and will create a supportive environment where you will help them achieve their objectives.

You will have experience of working in an individual giving/supporter care team or marketing role within the charity sector managing campaigns and supporter communications. With a proven track record in delivering successful campaigns, the ability to work to tight deadlines and with excellent attention to detail, you will be able to effectively manage key relationships internally and externally to deliver on campaigns with agreed time frames.

The Candidate
With proven track record of securing six-figure grants from trusts and foundations, you will have experience of developing and maintaining key relationships with trusts and foundations.

An excellent communicator you will ideally have strong management skills and a track record of developing high performing teams.
