About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
The Deputy Director of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in advancing MAP's mission by leading and expanding our fundraising efforts across trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partnerships in the UK and internationally. This senior leadership position requires a dynamic, strategic, and highly motivated individual with a proven track record in high-value fundraising and relationship management.
About You
You will have an understanding of the history and particular circumstances which face Palestinians, as well as a passion for the cause. You’ll have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and with a strong track record of securing major gifts, grants and corporate partnerships, you’ll take our partnership offering to a new level aiming for multi-year partnerships. You will use your excellent interpersonal and motivational leadership skills to develop and support team members to deliver their best work. Your exceptional communication skills and the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines will be valuable.
If you have an understanding of the global fundraising landscape, this is desirable, but moreover your ability to spot trends and act upon them is what we are seeking.
Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Planning
•Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering fundraising targets through tailored partnership plans
•Lead the development of the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy, setting ambitious targets in line with the fundraising strategy and goals in the UK and globally.
•Collaborate with the Director and Heads of teams to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising and Marketing strategy.
•Stay ahead of emerging trends and horizon scanning to ensure MAP’s philanthropy offering considers the latest developments.
Relationship Development and Management
•Cultivate and manage strong relationships with corporates, major donors, trust and foundation representatives to secure grants with a focus on multi-year partnerships.
•Develop and manage the portfolio of major donor prospects, creating tailored engagement plans to maximize their philanthropic potential.
•Lead stewardships events to bring the work to life and to connect supporters with MAP programme colleagues and medical volunteers.
•Collaborate with programmes and communications teams to ensure the team creates persuasive proposals, impactful reports, and engaging donor communications.
•Lead and be responsible for the due diligence procedure for new partners, as well as periodically ensuring that current partners still meet MAP’s guidelines.
Budgets, reporting and compliance
•Lead, create and manage annual and three-year rolling budgets working with programmes, communications and finance.
•Working with the Head of Fundraising Operations, provide reporting for the SMT and Board on a quarterly basis, and at a team level on a monthly basis, highlighting risks and opportunities and making necessary adjustments to ensure continued success.
•Ensure all grant applications and reports are submitted punctually and meet funders' requirements.

About the role
The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for executing Pro Bono Economics’ (PBE) fundraising strategy under the Director of Development’s guidance. This role focuses on increasing and diversifying income through building relationships with trusts, foundations, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals, while also securing funding for specific research projects in collaboration with the research team. The role includes managing donor engagement, overseeing grant applications, leading a small team, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, all while maintaining operational oversight of the fundraising department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Fundraising strategy implementation: Deliver PBE’s multi-year fundraising strategy to expand and diversify income from major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and research institutions
- New business development: Identify and secure new funding opportunities, focusing on building sustainable partnerships.
- Research support: Collaborate with the research team to identify funding for specific research projects and submit tailored grant proposals.
- Donor engagement: Steward relationships with existing donors, ensuring renewals and funding upgrades.
- Bid writing & reports: Develop and write compelling grant applications, case for support documents and reports which communicate PBE’s services and research programmes.
- Departmental leadership: Support the Director of Development in managing budgets, resources, and a fundraising officer, ensuring team efficiency and future planning.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to fundraising regulations and policies, including GDPR and safeguarding.
About you
Report directly to the Director of Development, the Head of Fundraising will have the following experience and skills.
Experience
- You have senior fundraising experience across a broad mix of income streams, a talent for building partnerships, bid writing and a strategic mindset.
- Experience working with research-driven organisations is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
- You are happy to roll up your sleeves and spend as much time focused on immediate management and income priorities as you are on strategy and ideation.
- Will be suited to a senior fundraiser looking for their first Heads of role or someone who has already taken that step.

This is a newly created and pivotal role in The Aspinall Foundation’s small fundraising team. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the charity’s key adoption fundraising programme and supporting the effective running of the Department as a whole.
Within this role, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to lead and manage key fundraising initiatives, including adoption programs, lottery communications, and a variety of in-person and virtual events. Responsibilities include improving donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship across multiple channels, while also supporting community fundraising and merchandise efforts.
The candidate will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to develop compelling fundraising materials and maintain strong relationships with donors and volunteers. About the Role

About this Role
The Supporter Engagement team, where this role sits, raises unrestricted funds and works mainly with individual supporters, as well as some trusts and corporates. As we look to grow our Individual Giving supporter base in line with our ambitious 2030 strategy, this newly created Fundraising Administrator role will be crucial to the success of the team.

We are looking for an individual who is organised, motivated, and results-oriented, with a passion for developing relationships with corporate supporters. As a key point of contact for the team, you will be a vital link between the partnerships team and internal and external colleagues. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth operations and efficient management of corporate relationships. You will also contribute towards planning corporate events, conducting research and producing corporate marketing materials.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for corporate enquiries and internal stakeholder, facilitating effective communication and relationship management
- Acting as the primary contact for enquires from business members, with support from the partnerships coordinator.
- Overseeing renewals of SIA’s business membership scheme.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for all corporate supporters using SIA’s CRM system.
- Producing, scheduling and sending regular communications to corporate supporters, including quarterly newsletters and charity wide updates.
- Recording, acknowledging and tracking income from corporate partnerships,
- Managing paperwork for partnerships, business members, and other corporate supporters.
