The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for a Partnerships Manager to join the Development team. We want you to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world. 

This is a dynamic role which cultivates new business and manages a varied portfolio of major partnerships (£20k+ pa) covering international, corporate and major trusts. This role will act as an internal and external ambassador for partnership opportunities – identifying assets within the organisation and generating new business externally. The Partnerships Manager will use creative approaches to attract long-term, high-value strategic partnerships which further the Festival’s vision and underpin long-term sustainability.

As we mark our 140th anniversary, this is a pivotal time for the Marketing Manager to lead a team of four marketing specialists to drive impactful campaigns and amplify the Charity’s presence across multiple platforms. You will work closely with programme managers across the business to identify marketing needs and opportunities, while working with the wider MarComms department to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, advise on the most effective delivery channels, and propose ways of enhancing the Forces Employment Charity presence.​

Bridge 5 Mill is a centre of social change in a historic 5 storey mill on the edge of Ancoats, comprising workspaces and event spaces. Our unique sustainable and ethical approach characterises our building and drives all our activities. Bridge 5 Mill is part of a family of organisations including the Kindling Trust, promoting ecological and social justice through a broad range of projects. 

We have just secured funding to fix our broken lift. This is great news, as the period without a lift had a significant impact on our community of tenants, wider users and also therefore, on our income from venue hire (with much less events able to take place during this time). This came on the tail of the Covid pandemic, which transformed how and when people use workspaces and events spaces. The funding means we are now at a pivotal time to rebuild both our events program and our offer as a beautiful, ethical and central venue to hire, as well as exploring how to diversify our services. You will be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our activities and in overcoming these recent challenges.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate person to join our small team here at Bridge 5 Mill. You will be part of an exciting new chapter for our organisation, as we prepare for our events “relaunch”,  diversify our services and begin working on exciting new development projects. As our Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of this transition, working alongside the Building Manager and Community Engagement Manager, to increase event occupancy, improve our current services and financially futureproof Bridge 5 Mill.

MAIN DUTIES

Bookkeeping;

• Bank reconciliation
• Invoicing and payment management
• Purchases and paying bills
• Assist our accountant with HMRC duties 

Prepare financial reports;

• Prepare quarterly management reports for Board of Trustees
• Create budgets & forecasts
• Compare budgets versus actuals & collaborate with the operations team on where to make improvements
• Identify and monitor financial Key Performance Indicators
• Submitting relevant documents to companies House, Charity Commission etc.

Fundraising;

• Research and apply for loans, grants and blended finance options as needed
• Reporting to funders on grant progress
• Liaise with operations team on financial viability of future development plans 

Reception cover (to cover annual leave / sickness when needed);

• Sit at reception to cover annual leave / sickness when needed
• Take booking enquiries over the phone & via email 
• Respond to tenant queries 
• Welcome guests 

Other;

The Foundation Partnerships Manager role is a pivotal role within the Foundation Partnerships team fundraising at the six- and seven-figure level. You will be responsible for initiating, developing and deepening relationships with a global roster of trusts and foundations in support of LSE’s strategic priorities including in Sustainability and leading trusts and foundations fundraising for at least one Campaign priority. You will be joining a highly collaborative, supportive and successful Foundation Partnerships team.

Are you ready for your next position in Individual Giving? In this new role you will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing individual giving. As a key member of the fundraising team you will produce compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory.

Experience of delivering donor recruitment and retention projects from initiation to completion.

Working fully remotely and with complete flexibility, the successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating relationships with trusts and foundations, creating a robust pipeline of applications, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role demands efficiency and the ability to produce numerous high-calibre applications within set deadlines, clearly articulating the client's mission and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write compelling, high-quality funding applications to trusts and foundations.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with existing trust and foundation supporters.
• Establish and manage a clear pipeline of applications and associated reporting deadlines.
• Ensure the timely and accurate reporting to funders on grant expenditure and impact.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to gather essential project information and impact data.
• Maintain meticulous records of all trust-related activities.
• Monitor funding success rates and income against established targets.

Essential Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience in fundraising within the charitable sector.
• Exceptional written communication skills with a demonstrable ability to create persuasive funding proposals.
• Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach to managing workload.
• Ability to interpret and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing databases effectively.
• A solid understanding of the UK trust and foundation funding landscape.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively and independently.
• Knowledge of charity governance and best practices in grant management.

Working Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week (14.5 hours).
