Main duties:

Use LinkedIn Recruiter and other online platforms and resources to develop talent pools by researching, identifying and engaging with a diverse range of candidates, demonstrating the charities values at all candidate touch points

Alongside the Resourcing Manager, deliver training in best practice inclusive recruitment.

Liaise with People Assistants to review the job advertising and marketing materials in line with the brand and tone of voice

Support the design and delivery of recruitment data and analytics, to inform and track progress and improve practice.

Summary of What We’re Looking For:

• Substantial experience in leading programmes and funding functions, within a relevant not-for-profit setting (eg hospital or healthcare charity).

• Proven ability in managing and reporting the impact of charitable programmes to senior stakeholders and boards / committees.

• Deep understanding of the healthcare context, including political context, research and innovation environments, partnered with an understanding of the charity landscape.

• Strong strategic thinking with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing and developing others.

• Educated to at least degree level in a relevant field (such as biomedical science) or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and synthesise technical medical information to specialists and non-specialists.

The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in biomedical sciences or a related field, complemented by proven experience in enhancing Programme and Funding operations within a relevant organisation. This is a full-time, permanent role paying a salary of £38,000 to £43,000 per annum. This role is based in their offices in Greenwich, London.

The postholder will be responsible for driving acquisition, retention and growth of Individual Giving at all levels with a particular view to growing unrestricted income from this stream. You will develop and deliver inspiring Regular Giving appeals, along with leading on the Patron programme strategy, in particular growth of Patrons and supporting the Head of Development with the strategic review of the programme.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

• Plan and deliver fieldwork, outreach projects and events to engage residents and organisations 

• Work as part of a team to deliver projects with associates and partner companies

• Undertake research and data collection, including resident engagement activities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of workshops, training opportunities, and resources to support NFP organisations on a range of key capacity building areas 

• Undertake organisational health checks and keep accurate and up to date records

• Help create content and materials for communications purposes and social media

• Work closely with project leads to prepare reporting and supporting documents

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required (Essential) 

• Supporting/Working with or in not for profit (NFP) organisations, in particular voluntary, community and/or social enterprises 

• Knowledge of key areas that create a strong and sustainable NFP organisation

• Knowledge or experience of working with NFP organisations of different sizes from grassroots to key anchor and national level organisations and a clear understanding of their current challenges

• Facilitating and developing or supporting events, workshops, focus groups or other similar activities

• Delivering fieldwork and outreach approaches to successfully recruit and engage a wide range of people and organisations

• Help identify an organisation’s development needs

• Excellent people skills that enable you to work sensitively and build trust to develop working relationships with a diverse range of people, organisations and clients from different sectors

• Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly and confidently

• Works to a high standard with attention to detail, management and organisation

• Effectively use a range of software including Microsoft Office, Google, and ideally other digital/online platforms

Desirable:

Key Terms 

• Salary Range: £27,500-£38,000 (FTE), depending on experience 

• Negotiable full or part time hours – (minimum of 0.6 FTE). The role is open to compressed working in accordance with the needs of the job 

• Home and remote working with one day or more per week at a shared office

• Some travel required within London and England which may include overnight stays according to the needs of contracts (anticipated travel days 2-3 days per month)

This is a pivotal role within our charity, leading the finance and operations teams and supporting the Charity’s strategic direction. Reporting directly to our CEO, the Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for overseeing our finances and core services, including HR and IT, and acting as Company Secretary. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, and external stakeholders to ensure the charity is well-run, financially resilient, and operationally effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute strategies for Finance & Operations to ensure the charity’s assets and infrastructure provide maximum impact for beneficiaries.

• Senior Leadership Contribution: Play an active role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing collective leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making, and supporting the CEO in leading the organisation.

• Financial Management: Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and statutory accounts for an annual income of around £11m.

• Governance: Act as Company Secretary, supporting the Board of Trustees and ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements.

• Investments: Monitor and report on the charity’s investments, working closely with investment advisors and providing strategic recommendations (strategic reserves of £130m+).

• Operational Oversight: Lead the development of a technology strategy, ensuring IT infrastructure via our outsourced provider supports the charity’s needs and enhances user experience.

• People & Culture: Collaborate with our HR Business Partner to develop a People Strategy that fosters a culture of ambition, agility, and continuous learning, whilst ensuring operational HR support and systems are effective.

A summary of what we’re looking for:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CCAB, or CIMA) with significant experience in leading finance functions, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.

• Proven track record of managing financial and operational teams, with expertise in charity governance and accounting, investments, and strategic planning.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data to inform decision-making.

• A deep understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements within the charity sector. 

The ideal candidate will have experience within a charity finance & operational role, with the corresponding knowledge and understanding of investment oversight, charity governance, and the HR & IT functions. An understanding of the healthcare context is also beneficial.
