We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.
Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers. The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. The Role
The Philanthropic Partnerships Assistant plays an important role in supporting the financial sustainability objectives of GGF UK. The postholder is responsible for managing a portfolio of trust and foundations partnerships giving up to $200,000 per year, and will also be responsible for stewarding our portfolio of individual giving supporters donating up to £10,000 per year. With excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, the candidate will have a proven ability to create compelling proposals, presentations, reports, and other materials. About the role
The primary purpose of the Senior Administrative Manager will be to support the NTD (Neglected Tropical Disease) Department in functioning effectively and efficiently. This role involves coordinating administrative and support systems, procedures, and sub-teams essential for the management of the NTD portfolio.
Background
Sightsavers’ NTD directorate oversees projects funded by various donors to control and eliminate five PC-NTDs: onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis, trachoma, schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths in 28 countries. These projects are executed by country office teams, ministries of health, and partners, with operational and technical support from the NTD Department.
Principal Accountabilities
- Oversee the creation and renewal of requested consultancy agreements with Human Resources, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed and records are kept updated.
- Manage the contractual organisation of the team of internationally located technical consultants and work with the relevant Global Disease Advisor to coordinate all aspects of support missions undertaken by the them
- Ensure professional meeting support for all external NTD meetings with donors and international partners as requested by the NTD SMT. This includes logistics, room bookings, agendas, slides, recording, virtual participation where required and minute documentation and distribution.
- Assemble information as required for presentations, communications and reports, and manage internal document storage systems (Microsoft SharePoint and Teams).
- Support the Grant Directors and IFT to compile key donor milestone reports and ensure a fully functional and accessible external ShareFile system for key donor groups where required
- Support communications both within the NTD Department team and with external stakeholders through dissemination of newsletters and maintaining contact lists.
- Using all members of the admin team, coordinate the support for all regular internal PDU calls (recurring invites, agenda sharing and minute taking).
- Provide travel support to the SMT and Grant Directors where requested.
- Manage/supervise NTD Dept Coordinator
- Undertake additional ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

Head of Asset Management
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Asset Management to provide strategic leadership and ensuring statutory compliance across the property portfolio.
Join a leading charity in Sussex committed to maintaining the highest standards in its housing stock, as well as its leasing arrangements with private landlords and partners for clients and tenants.
Position: Head of Asset Management
Location: Brighton based and some hybrid working
Salary: £59,527 per annum plus £1,218 car allowance
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
Promoting a fantastic people culture and value driven service, you will ensure the Asset Management strategy supports the strategic objectives and enables continuous improvement, performance and best value in making the best use of the asset base in the delivery of services for clients and tenants.
Using your professional, strategic, analytical and date driven skills, you will ensure that the organisation is a leading provider of services to vulnerable clients/tenant groups in line with values and responsibilities as a Registered Social Landlord.
The Head of Asset Management will have a lead responsibility for stock appraisals, investment/disinvestment in property decisions, oversee both the Capital and Revenue Major Works budget and you will be involved in health & safety and environmental responses across the organisation in relation to the buildings.
You will also lead on the organisations exciting vision for delivery of planned maintenance and decarbonisation.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Wildlife team, within the Policy, Prevention and Campaigns Division, as a Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation.
This role is essential for the RSPCA to further safeguard sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife and achieve the RSPCA's objective of securing better legal protection for wildlife in animal welfare establishments (wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres).
Currently, anyone can set up a rescue/rehabilitation centre or sanctuary with no oversight. This can lead to these establishments becoming overwhelmed despite good intentions.
This role will develop and implement an advocacy strategy to achieve statutory regulation of these facilities, to protect the welfare of wild animals.
The post-holder will work closely with the Veterinary and Operations teams to ensure the RSPCA's rescue and rehabilitation standards are based on the latest scientific evidence.
This role will achieve measurable improvements in welfare standards and legal protections, reinforce the RSPCA's commitment to leading positive change and strengthen the Society's position as an influential leader in this field.
This role is being offered as a 24 month fixed term contract. We are open to flexible working options, such as part time hours and the role will be offered on a hybrid working basis; working from home and from our London and or Horsham office.

What a day might look like for you

- Generate and maintain RSPCA policies, strategic aims, goals and objectives relating to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.
- Generate and manage the implementation of an impactful influencing strategy to secure improved legal protection of casualty wildlife in animal welfare establishments.
- Prepare and deliver evidence-based briefing papers, policy reports, position statements, articles, and press releases.
- Work with RSPCA colleagues to ensure RSPCA's wildlife rehabilitation standards are based on the latest scientific evidence and best-practice, and address key research gaps.
- Stay up-to-date on animal welfare science, legislation, ethics, and developments in the field.
- Network within the wildlife rehabilitation sector and represent the RSPCA in advocacy coalitions.
What makes a great Senior Scientific Officer- Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation?
To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have proven experience of liaising with civil servants, MPs and other members of the government.
You must have strong communication skills and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities, along with a strong background of working within policy.
Along with this experience, we are keen to receive applications from those with:
- A degree level qualification in a relevant biological discipline.
- Broad knowledge of wild animal welfare issues and specific knowledge and experience relating to wild animals specific to the post.
- Strong relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proven experience of high level influencing and setting the strategic direction for advocacy on animal welfare issues.
- The ability to build and utilise networks of contacts effectively and to work in coalition with others.
- Expertise in developing compelling policies, shaping agendas and working in coalition to achieve change.
- Experience of project coordination and organisation.
- Experience of translating policy and research into change through advocacy, and a strong track record of driving policy change with national and local governments.
- Excellent research and writing skills with the ability to effectively condense, summarise and make sense of large amounts of information quickly, pulling out salient points and spotting potential weaknesses or problems.
- You must also be aligned to our vision and values.
