About the Role
The Marketing Manager (Acquisition) will plan and deliver effective direct response campaigns across paid channels, to build consideration, prompt action and drive income through the acquisition of new individual donors.
A key part of this role will be to lead on the day-to-day management and development of direct response TV (DRTV) and online video which are pivotal channels within our acquisition programme. By identifying the right supporters to target and inspiring them to commit to a regular monthly donation, you'll be a key driver of our Individual Giving supporter base growth and income.
Working within multi-disciplinary teams, you'll build strong relationships and cut through boundaries, in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. Leveraging agile principles, you'll flex and adapt - learning rapidly and responding to change, while keeping our supporters at the heart of everything you do.
In this role, you will:
• Plan and execute direct response TV and online video marketing campaigns, across a range of channels (e.g. direct response TV, bVOD, CTV), with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious income targets.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to attract new supporters – using insight and data to understand our audience's needs and motivations to build long term relationships.
• Work closely with our media buying agency to approve, buy and optimise media. Manage and monitor budgets, analyse daily results and metrics to drive change as needed to ensure marketing performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-squad and with partner media agency to align DRTV and online video with the broader multi-channel paid media plan and integration with our Brand campaign where appropriate.
• Plan and collaborate with in-house and/or external creative and production agencies on the development of new DRTV creative, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and execute creative testing strategies to inspire audience engagement and action.
• Regularly analyse and report on performance across DRTV and online video channels and audiences, providing expertise to optimise results and deliver growth.
• Support and assist with training and supervision of Marketing Executives within the team. Manage, develop and motivate members to retain, and develop capacity, creative capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives.
• Partner with Analyst squad members to assess marketing effectiveness, using data-driven insights to foster a test-and-learn approach and ensure learnings are effectively shared across the team, and recommendations implemented.
• Work with Senior Marketing Managers to manage budgets, including planning, reporting, and reforecasting.
• Partner with CRO Specialist and others, to create a seamless supporter experience by ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, driving engagement, conversion and lifetime value.
• Keeping abreast of changes within the direct response TV and online video marketplace, and ensure learnings feed into quarterly planning.
• Collaborate with Save the Children International and other member countries, sharing best practices and insights on the trends of the various activities under its responsibility and helping drive the global production of new content for TV and online video.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering marketing campaigns across direct response TV or other online video channels.
• Experience in direct response marketing including developing marketing campaigns, data analysis and audience planning.
• Project management experience with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
• Experience of effectively managing external partners to drive performance and continual improvement, such as working with media agencies to plan, buy and optimise media, creative and production agencies.
• Experience of developing fundraising and/or marketing assets to drive action.
• Experience of effective management of campaign budgets, implementing most effective investment decisions in real time.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, specifically the ability to analyse complex data and translate it into tangible information for strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing budgets efficiently.
• An understanding of attribution and the different models that can be used.
• Strong understanding of the fundraising DRTV media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, including payroll, pension, banking, purchase and sales ledgers across multiple organisations
- Lead on good practice, implementing effective working methods, checks and controls to improve efficiency of processing across all finance activities
- Adapt and progress working methods to cover all aspects of the Charitable activity – Education, Commissioned services, OEC short courses. Considering the varied nature of clients, suppliers and staff for every activity
- Implement revised processes to cover site development – Project Learnhive
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management accounts, cash flow and performance reports for the CEO, Board of Trustees, and external stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to internal charity controls on authorisation for revenue and capital spending.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including timely submission of annual reports, HMRC filings, Pension compliance, Education Funding Agency and adherence to charity accounting standard requirements (SORP)
- Develop and manage financial policies and procedures to ensure robust internal controls are in place

- Act as the main point of contact for the external auditors, payroll, pension and insurance contacts.

About the Role:
You will ideally have newsroom or busy press office or agency experience, work well under pressure, and be full of creative media ideas. As a news driven, creative and ambitious Senior Media Officer, you will lead on a wide range of media activities including timely statements, ground-breaking research reports, fundraising appeals and events, and key policy and advocacy moments.
You will also work on projects with celebrity ambassadors, corporate partners and staff from across WaterAid's global federation - all in support of WaterAid's mission to change normal for millions of people living without water, decent toilets and good hygiene so they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
You will drive, develop and implement proactive and reactive media strategies, use your warm media contacts and build new contacts to achieve organisational communications objectives, including increasing awareness of the global water and sanitation crisis as well as our work around the world and our policy, fundraising and campaigning activities.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write audience centric media strategies for advocacy research and reports and campaigns, with political and public stakeholders in mind.
- Build and ensure effective media relations by establishing and nurturing relationships with key journalists and media outlets, maintaining media lists using relevant media databases.

About You:
- Proven experience in media relations, working in a busy press office, agency or as a journalist.
- Experience of working in a large, matrix organisation

- Strong understanding of the UK and global media landscape, with an excellent nose for a story and established relationships with key journalists and media outlets for major UK and global titles.
- Proven experience in launching policy and research reports and data-driven stories to the media
- Proven experience on working on public engagement and supporter focused media
- Excellent command of written English and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling media materials and media messages at the highest quality
- Experience in developing and executing media strategies and securing impactful coverage.
- To have initiative, deadline driven, strong project management skills, able to work autonomously while contributing to a high performing team
- Willing to travel within and outside of the UK infrequently on travel to further media objectives.

As our next Philanthropy Manager, you would focus on raising £10k-£100k+ gifts. What you’ll do
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with a pipeline of donors and prospects
- Deliver pipeline activity and income targets
- Secure and deliver a high volume of donor/prospect in-person touchpoints, involving Parkinson’s UK senior leadership in key relationships
- Deliver first-class stewardship by maximising engagement opportunities within our stewardship programme
- Manage the day-to-day activity of our fundraising board and secure new gifts through their networks
- Work with our Nurse Appeal senior volunteer donors to build your pipeline
- Lead on prospecting projects, collaborating with the prospect research and wider colleagues across the charity
What you’ll bring

Harris Hill is working with an international environmental charity, who are looking to cover an interim Communications Officer role for 3dpw, on a remote basis. This covers permanent recruitment.
The role itself will run until Christmas and possibly the new year. We are looking for an immediate start.
The post of the Communications Officer reports directly to the CEO, but works with internal fundraising, programme and marketing teams to promote the work of the charity, report on fundraising and manage communications to various stakeholders and supporters.
This role follows a period of outsourcing their work to an agency, so this brings this work back in house, with a handover happening before they total removal in December, but also covering the permanent recruitment period.
The purpose of the Communications Officer is to raise the profile of the charity, to highlight the work they do, reach current supporters and allow to increase our supporter base. Key Responsibilities
To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.
Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning
With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:
1. Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
2. Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
3. Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
4. Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
5. Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.

Dissemination and Communications
