The Community Fundraiser role is one where you just don’t know what happens one week to the next as you never know who will choose to support Marie Curie in your community!

The role would suit someone who has management experience, but is looking to take on more strategic responsbility and can demonstrate seeing the bigger picture across regional fundraising. Bringing out the best from the team will be a key part of the role, alongside high quality relationship mangement of both internal stakeholders and Marie Curies dedicated supporters and volunteers.  

Deputy Heads are remote based, with travel around the region and some presence at your local office or Hospice expected. The successful candidate will be based within or in close proximity to the region e.g. within the East of England.

Are you a creative, collaborative and forward-thinking fundraiser, who can help the National Youth Choir grow our support and share inspirational music-making with even more young people and audiences? 

The National Youth Choir is looking to appoint a Senior Development Manager. Working within our Development Team and the wider National Youth Choir community, the successful candidate will lead on our Trust, Foundation and Corporate fundraising streams, including a highly successful portfolio of established funders and identifying and developing new relationships. As part of this role you will manage the cultivation strategy to proactively inspire and engage funders, enhance their engagement with the National Youth Choir and support us to develop sustainable income streams. 

Primarily you'll have a strong track record in fundraising from Trusts and Foundations and some experience in corporate fundraising. You’ll also be confident in undertaking prospect research and tracking these through the use of a CRM system (ideally Access/ThankQ).

You may already have an interest in choral singing, music or creative opportunities for young people – or you may bring transferable expertise and ideas from a relevant field and be enthusiastic about using these to contribute to our vision and mission.

Purpose of the Trusts Fundraising Officer role:

The Trusts Fundraising Officer is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a rolling programme of prospect identification, research and applications for funding from Trusts and Foundations.

You will be joining our fantastic fundraising team who keep the organisation surviving and thriving by bringing in funding from individual donors and fundraisers, high profile corporate partners, or charitable trusts and foundations, and everything in between. Key duties and responsibilities of the Trusts Fundraising Officer:

• Prepare core and restricted funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, up to the value £100k, contributing to the team’s annual fundraising targets.
• Prepare and submit reports and develop stewardship journeys for funders. 
• Research potential funders to maintain the funding pipeline.
• Maintain records on all reporting and re-application deadlines, working closely with Finance and project teams as required.

What we are looking for in our Trusts Fundraising Officer:

• Someone with experience of, or enthusiasm to develop, application-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, as well as drive, initiative and determination.
• Diligent with details, skilled at researching prospects and able to work to tight timescales.
• We value candidates with transferable skills for example from an administration, research or communications background with strong writing abilities.
• Fundraising experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy Development

Trusts and foundations

• Support the Head of Fundraising with research and identification of grant opportunities relevant to WECare.

Community Fundraising and Event Planning

• Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and the team to create and implement a comprehensive Community Fundraising Strategy.
• Plan, organise, and execute a diverse range of fundraising events, including supporter dinners, challenge events like the Great North Run, charity walks, auctions, and community fairs.
• Expand local support networks in both Sri Lanka and the UK.

Data Management and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, monitor income, and donor information on the charity database.
• Assist in developing and managing the new CRM system, including setting up and integrating a comprehensive database CRM platform and Mailchimp for effective donor communication and management.
• Ensure donor data is meticulously maintained, supporting the use of CRM tools to manage donor relationships effectively, including ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Contribute to the refinement and thorough documentation of new digital processes such as the Sponsor a Dog (SPAD) programme, ensuring clear guidelines and streamlined operations across all initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who’s not just passionate about our mission but also brings a can-do attitude and a bit of flair. You should be experienced in fundraising, event planning, and donor management, with a solid understanding of data protection regulations (we like to keep things safe and sound). You’re great with words, can whip up persuasive content in no time, and know your way around a CRM and platforms like Mailchimp.

But more than anything, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, dive into the world of charity work, and make a real difference in the lives of street dogs around the world and the communities that care for them.

We are looking for an engaging, driven and results-oriented leader to lead the Philanthropy department, within the Income & Engagement directorate at Alzheimer’s Society, on a fixed term maternity cover.

This is a hugely exciting time to work for the UK’s leading dementia charity. We have all the key success factors in place for significant, continued Philanthropy growth, from senior leadership buy-in to exciting fundable projects that drive towards our ambitious vision. Two ground-breaking treatments have also recently shown for the first time that it is possible to slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, growing support in the field and opportunities to build on this success.

Philanthropy at the Society is made up of three specialist, but complementary, teams:

- Major Donors
- Trusts & Foundations
- Development Boards (currently two sector-based campaigns: in insurance and sport)

The team are expertly partnered by our Prospect Development, Impact Communications, and Special Events teams, to support and maximise opportunities throughout the engagement cycle, including proposition development and proposal writing for the biggest partnership opportunities.

The Philanthropy team is well-established, growing fast (76% income growth in 2023/24), and working to a new but clear growth strategy, so maintaining stability, unity and continued focus and drive to deliver on established priorities will be crucial for this interim period.

In this role, you will ensure the Philanthropy Strategy to 2030 is delivered to, particularly the outlined 12-month priorities, leading a brilliant team of specialist fundraisers. You will support and sponsor the development of new long-term, transformational partnerships with philanthropic partners, for programmes of work spanning critical dementia support services and cutting-edge research.

The role will entail significant cross-department and cross-directorate working, collaborating with peers and colleagues at all levels across the organisation to deliver on the Philanthropy strategy and ensure a pipeline of fundable propositions.

Importantly, the role also provides the chance to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia, helping us to reach our goal of securing £15+ million a year from Philanthropy by 2030.

Re-engage is a charity that is positive about older age and committed to fighting loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. We inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to join Re-engage. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will oversee the charity’s fundraising teams with responsibility for the whole range of fundraised income, as well as developing and supporting partnerships across the organisation.

With our ambition to grow over the next five years, this role will be critical to the success of Re-engage and our ability to reach more older people and reduce more loneliness.

Person Specification

- Significant experience in a fundraising role with demonstrable achievements in at least two fundraising disciplines including major donors, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, direct mail, legacies and trust fundraising
- Experience creating income products and packages from the needs of our beneficiaries
- Experience approaching and securing funding from a wide range of public funders, trusts and foundations, private and public sector organisations
- Experience managing and stewarding a varied portfolio of supporters whilst developing new prospects
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills
