Part 1: Role Purpose:

Street Child is looking for a dynamic, confident individual with a passion for communications and a drive to make a difference.

We need a Global Communications Officer who is adaptable, personable, has an attention to detail and is ready to tackle any task with gusto. We are looking for someone who can drive forward our owned channel development, grow our website traffic and social media channels whilst maintaining strong platform engagement rates to generate fundraising.

Our ideal candidate will also create fresh campaigns with market cut through, develop clear, creative collateral, support our growing global advocacy efforts and identify opportunities for telling stories from Street Child’s programmes around the world. An eye for design and some basic editing skills is a bonus. 

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1. Social channel content creation, maintenance and development

• Lead on the development and maintenance of the Street Child social channels, pushing forward our social strategy with a relentless focus on growth and engagement. Develop, create, and manage engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), including identifying strategies for viral and timely content.
• Craft compelling copy and visuals that align with our brand voice and promote Street Child programmes around the world.
• Identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities for Street Child’s social media presence.

2. Day-to-day website content updates & maintenance

• Lead on the day-to-day content updates and maintenance of the Street Child website, working to a turnaround time of 48 hours for business-as-usual activity.
• Work with external web developers to ensure Street Child’s website is optimised for raising awareness of our work, engaging supporters and raising funds.
• Develop high-quality written and visual content optimised for web, including managing our blog to ensure a steady output of content on Street Child programme areas, including primary education work, education in emergencies, and humanitarian programmes.

3. Communications resource for global fundraising teams

• Support the strategic development and communications needs of European and North American entities, ensuring a strong cohesive global voice for Street Child.
• Support global fundraising teams on all communication resource needs, including but not limited to event publicity/promotion, key appeal content and community resource generation.
• Support the creation of content/collateral for fundraising teams.
• Support the development of corporate communications, including but not limited to the design of impact reports, event promotion and publicity.
• Work with colleagues in other fundraising teams to establish communication calendars and plan for their respective areas of work, identifying communication needs and deadlines ahead of time.

4. Global advocacy communications support

• Support the delivery of global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
• Support corporate communications strategies around global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
• Craft compelling advocacy messages for Street Child-owned channels, working closely with our global programmes experts to position the organisation as though-leaders in the global education sector.

5. Wider MMC support

• Support the delivery of key content and assets for media.
• Support the contracting of in-country photographers and videographers.
• Support the individual giving donor mapping and communications development, helping to deepen and develop our donor relationships and increase unrestricted fundraising.
• Able to represent Street Child appropriately both internally and externally.
• Carry out all reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role.
• Support the delivery of the Annual Report.

The Partnership Development Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) prides itself on delivering sector-leading partnerships. We are a friendly, collaborative, and ambitious team driven by our goal to fund vital dementia research and ultimately find a cure for dementia. 

Our Senior Partnership Development Officer is responsible for proactively establishing, managing and growing our largest partnerships while line managing one of our team Executives. You’ll have strong relationship management and business development skills, as well as attention to detail and an organised approach to a busy and varied workload. These skills will have been honed in either a charity or corporate role.

You will work with the wider Partnership Development team to coordinate activity from high-value relationships while holding and developing robust long-term relationships with our highest-level corporate donors.

Our Partnership Development Team sits within the Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate. We collaborate closely with the Regional Fundraising team and the wider Fundraising and Marketing function, so communication, collaboration, and strong relationship skills are essential.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Provide high-quality account management for corporate supporters, acting as the day-to-day contact point for the company and its staff and ensuring the highest standard of supporter care at all times.

· Respond promptly and professionally to corporate supporters, ensuring extremely high-level customer service is maintained from across the charity with the accounts you are responsible for.

· Lead new partnership set-ups, including establishing legal agreements, partnership calendars and reporting methods.

· Create and support Partner Charity Committee’s and Ambassador networks

· Build strong relationships with internal ARUK stakeholders, including Senior Leadership Team, to collaborate on partnership strategy.

· Offer extensive, creative fundraising ideas to support partner companies, using a broad range of experience and case studies.

· Assist with the organisation of innovative, engaging corporate fundraising events and attend events where relevant.

· Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of all corporate activity, clearly communicating progress.

· Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to broaden and lengthen relationships, creating multifaceted partnerships.

· Work closely with the communications team to create clear partnership communication plans and ensure corporate fundraising press opportunities are maximised and the impact is communicated clearly to the partner company.

· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, to include partnership income and stewardship goals.

· Work proactively with employees at all levels within the companies you are supporting to identify and maximise potential income, both within and beyond the partnership terms.

Support the Partnership Development Manager (PDM) and Senior Partnership Development Manager (SPDM) in the onward development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income.

· Work with the PDM to ensure that the most appropriate use is made of internal and external contacts to support the work of ARUK, creating and maximising networking, influencing and engagement opportunities.

· Ensure new business prospects within partnerships are identified and passed to the New Business Team.

· Undertake project work as requested by the PDM to increase engagement with ARUK from within our corporate partners and develop ARUKs offering to our partners. 

· Setting a best-in-class example for the wider team in all aspects of your role.

Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context

· When representing the charity externally, influence and engage external contacts at all levels to maximise corporate fundraising potential.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the dementia research field.

· Communicate confidently about the research we are funding and dementia/ARUK more broadly. Including presenting to large audiences.

Line Management

· Line Management of a Partnership Development Executive (PDE); driving the success of this post through effective and inspiring leadership to ensure a highly motivated and efficient support function to help the team achieve targets.

· Delegate workload from across the team to the PDE, ensuring they are supporting both the New Business and Partnership Development functions.

· Oversee the PDE’s targets and objectives.

· Ensure the PDE is meeting all team and charity SLAs.

· Line management of any temporary administrative staff recruited to assist with specific projects.

What we are looking for:

· Building and growing high-level relationships through networking, negotiation and influence both internally and externally. 

· Confidence working with computers; knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Ability to ensure effective reporting with partnerships when tracking charity income via various sources including our CRM system.

· Ability to independently manage projects from beginning to end.

· Excellent account management and relationship management skills in either a charity or corporate role; transferable sales or marketing skills also relevant.

· Good planning, prioritisation and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability and confidence to present to corporate audiences.

· You work well as part of a team but are proactive and can work independently.

· A confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity to high-level external contacts.

· Creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to identify opportunities within partnerships and develop tailored fundraising ideas and initiatives.

· Willingness and ability to travel independently in the UK and to work outside of regular office hours when needed.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community. 

The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.

About You

You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC 

• Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work 

• Asset map 

• Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging 

• Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives 

• Increase awareness of the challenges faced by military personnel, veterans and their families

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying.

• A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships which lead to actions

• Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders 

About the Team 

You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.

Area Manager – Scotland

We are recruiting an Area Manager for Scotland to create and cultivate sustainable community services across your area to contribute to PAPYRUS creating suicide-safer communities for young people across the whole of the UK.

What you will do:

· You will lead the EQUIP strategy in your Area.

· You will ensure that PAPYRUS is represented at appropriate local and regional Suicide Prevention groups and              bodies across your Area.

· Manage Service Delivery in your Area.

· Develop an operational plan to deliver the strategy.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Proven experience of building, managing and enabling a successful team

· Previous experience of preparing a budget, securing funding for projects/ programmes and having financial accountability for successful implementation.

· Experience of managing complex projects with a positive impact on social change.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated People professional to join our HR team as a Head of People & Development.

The postholder will be tasked with overseeing the operational delivery of the HR service within the Students' Union, with a headcount of 87 Non-Student and 145 Student staff, ensuring they are providing a high-quality service covering areas such as recruitment & selection, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, reward and remuneration (including payroll) and employee relations.

Overview

The Green Team was founded in 1995 to support young people to succeed in achieving the Duke of Edinburgh award. Since then, the team has grown significantly and now offers nine programmes along with corporate volunteering days and holiday activities. From one member of staff and a few volunteers, we now have 10 staff and over 50 volunteers.

The growth of the team since 1995 has been primarily driven by our current CEO, Penny Radway. The size of the organisation and number of programmes run mean that we believe the time is right to introduce a dual CEO approach. Penny will focus on CEO responsibilities for delivering our programmes.

The role

To co-lead the charity promoting the mission, aims, values and objectives, be directly responsible for specific agreed areas of the charity’s corporate operations while overseeing and ensuring the success of these operations. To increase income generation, specifically unrestricted funds, enhance existing financial controls, and impact reporting. To also ensure there are clear and impactful communications, partnerships and marketing approaches for the development of the Green Team.

Work in partnership with the Co-CEO Programmes to advise the Trustees on the strategic direction of the organisation and to implement Board decisions. To ensure the sustainability of the Green Team, with a focus on increasing unrestricted funds to achieve longevity of the organisation.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, building on strong, established corporate partnerships and developing new ones, to generate both earned income and corporate donations. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year
• Selling workplace training and donation opportunities to corporate partners across a range of industries, but in particular the legal and financial services sectors
• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales
• Contributing to applications and events in support of fundraising from other sources

Our organisation is supported by a dedicated team of staff and trustees including several patients with PKD and individuals with family members affected by PKD. The job opening sadly results from unexpected passing of our former CEO who led the organisation with distinction for the last 12 years. Currently, we are operating under an interim management arrangement. 

You will be driven by a desire to work with our team, partners and trustees to ensure the success of the charity and by communicating the level of activity and successful leveraging of resources into addressing PKD.

The role is primarily remote with a requirement to travel to events and meetings mainly in the UK with occasional travel throughout Europe and other regions.

As the CEO, you will be responsible for:

• Strategic Leadership: Providing visionary leadership and direction for the charity.

• Representation: Acting as the primary spokesperson for PKD Charity UK to supporters, healthcare professionals, and partner organisations.

About the PKD Charity.

Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.

PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. A few babies have a rare form of PKD which results in death during pregnancy or shortly after birth; surviving children often have to have either a kidney or liver transplant before the age of 10.

We provide reliable, accredited information, advice and personalised support. We raise awareness of the burden of PKD, both clinical and psychosocial. We fund research aimed at understanding more about PKD and the discovery of therapies that will improve quality and longevity of life.

Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them.

Cumberland Lodge, based in Windsor Great Park,  is an educational charity that exists to provide young people with the skills, perspective, and confidence to question, challenge, and understand, some of the most complex social issues of our time. For this newly-created role, we are seeking a passionate, creative and results-driven Business Development & Marketing Manager to help us grow occupancy and generate more income from group bookings to fund an expansion in our charitable work. We have an interesting range of initiatives in mind, including targeting the private sector, setting up a referral scheme, and creating offers for overseas markets.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for pro-actively generating new business enquiries and opportunities for Cumberland Lodge, with the objective of maximising occupancy and income within the charitable and operational policies we work to.

Working closely with: Meeting & Events Manager, Hospitality Director, Communications & Engagement team

Strategic planning and execution

• Develop and implement the business development and marketing strategy aligned with our organisational goals.
• Lead the creation of multi-channel marketing plans to drive lead generation, and client acquisition.
• Oversee the delivery of venue marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional channels.

 Market awareness

• Analyse data and insights to inform marketing strategies and campaign adjustments.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
• Undertake regular benchmarking of Cumberland Lodge’s conference facilities, services and charges against local competitors, identifying market trends, opportunities, and competitive rates. 

Lead generation and client acquisition

Event promotion and coordination
