The Youth Mentoring Practitioner’s primary purpose is to develop and deliver quality and safe 1-2-1 and small group personalised support for young people.

· Has recent and proven experience with inner city young people.

· Can co-develop and co-deliver inclusive and supportive programmes with young people.

· Is comfortable working on their own or in a team.

· Can enable us to improve our service and opportunities for young people.

About the role:
This role is a hybrid role with home working allowed twice per week. Your home office would be Chandlers Ford, however you would be expected to travel regularly to offices in both Basingstoke and Southampton.

As a Team Leader you will

• Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff
• Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service
• Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services & work with professionals collaboratively to improve the access to and quality of service

You will need:

• An understanding of the Criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses
• An understanding of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessment
• A practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
• Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
• Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.

• Training community researchers to explore the impact of a Social Housing Association’s community development project through the voice of residents.

About the role  

As Arts for well-being coordinator at Crisis Skylight Oxford, you will develop and deliver an inspirational and varied arts programme (performing, creative, visual) for Crisis Skylight members, who are people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This programme of arts classes and one-off creative activities will enable Skylight clients to build their confidence and self-esteem, develop their creativity and have the opportunity to display and perform their work. You will be supported to deliver this programme by a small group of tutors and volunteers. 

Crisis Skylight Oxford is based in the Old Fire Station, and we share this building with an arts company. In this role you will work closely with staff from the arts company to deliver a range of opportunities for Skylight members including workshops, project work, training and theatre trips. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Knowledge and understanding of how to develop a high quality and varied arts programme with experience of working under pressure to deliver multiple projects. 

• Experience of engaging vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach adults in arts activities, including people with complex needs and challenging behaviour.  

• Ability to manage, support and motivate staff and volunteers to work with vulnerable and sometimes challenging adults.

About the role:

As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA), you will provide ongoing continuity, advocacy and impartial advice and information to all survivors accessing our service. Whilst you will be supporting all clients this role also requires the ISVA to focus on supporting clients with a wide range of disabilities, both physical and hidden.
Being an experienced ISVA, you will conduct risk assessments and assess the specific needs of people who have suffered sexual violence. Your willbe able to to develop individual service plans that address these risks and needs. You will have a proven track record of working with high and complex cases and have demonstrated resilience in your professional life, enabling you to work effectively under pressure. You will have extensive experience working with vulnerable clients and possess the skills to maintain professional boundaries working alongside them.
You will also be adept at working in a trauma-informed manner, acknowledging that trauma can impact victims in different ways, and offering support with this as a priority. As an advocate for sexual violence survivors/victims, you will work to promote their confidence, resilience, and empowerment both within and outside of the criminal justice system.
You will provide non-therapeutic support to victims/survivors.

The Director of Strategy Implementation is an exciting Senior Management role which will help to deliver Chance to Shine’s strategic plans and further our ambitions for young people. 
 

In February 2024 we launched Limitless Futures, a four year strategic vision that outlines our ambitions to further improve wellbeing amongst young people, grow from working with 600,000 young people a year to one million by 2028, and continue to prioritise underserved communities (young people in areas of economic disadvantage and those who are inactive). It is based on extensive consultation with young people, teachers, families, delivery partners, coaches and others. It is underpinned by clearly defined goals and KPIs, and accountable to Chance to Shine’s Board of Trustees. The person in this role will work collaboratively with Senior Management colleagues and the wider team to deliver on and refine these plans. 
 

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and efficient individual with a strong track record in collaborative working and delivering on ambitious projects to join a small and dynamic team. The person in this role does not need to have an understanding of cricket but must be driven to achieve ambitious plans to support young people’s wellbeing and development.  

We operate flexible working and as such team members currently work from the office (The Oval, London) on average about 2 days per week. This post-holder will need to be flexible as an when it is required to attend meetings, mostly in London but elsewhere around the country.

Purpose of the role 

The Director of Strategy Implementation will be part of the Senior Management Team and will work closely with the Chief Executive. 

The person in this role will oversee the implementation of the second year of strategy plans for Limitless Futures. They will collaborate with Fundraising, Operations, Communications, Finance and Impact colleagues to ensure progress is tracked and goals are met. Key Responsibilities

The Director of Strategy Implementation responsibilities include:

About this exciting opportunity

As Women’s Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will be female adults aged 18 years and above on remand and unsentenced within HMP Peterborough.  This role will involve completing Trauma Informed assessments and developing, in collaboration with each service user, action plans which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

We will also rely on you to create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users and to deliver a range of interventions which contribute towards achieving pre-determined targets.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales are both essential aspects of the role, as is providing updates and reports, where required, using a range of formats.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working with females and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people.
• Proven record of delivering one-to-one and group coaching solutions.
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one.
• Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) qualification or willingness to be trained to the required level.
• Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload.
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, person-led support.

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to compliment our existing IDVA working alongside East London Foundation Trust. This is a part time, fixed term role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who are inpatients across Bedfordshire. This role will be working with victims of domestic abuse who are predominately risk assessed as standard/medium. This role will also work alongside our other specialist services covering Bedfordshire.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
