About this role:

This role supports the service across Bedford Borough. As a Team Leader for the Specialist Services team you will:

• Offer a consistent representative for the twice weekly MARAC
• Be a SPOC for the Front Door - giving advice and support around queries/ concerns about DA
• Carry a reduced caseload
• Support the Safe & Together model
• have line manage responsibilities including Bedford Borough IDVA

You will need:

• A qualification as an IDVA or ISAC
• Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships and pathways within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Knowledge of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, safeguarding and risk assessments
• Practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
• Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
• Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
• Work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner
• Gather, analyse and use information and evidence from different sources to solve problems and report on data quality and compliance

The Role

These roles offer flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients across London is required.

As an Independent Victim Advocate you will provide high quality, holistic support to clients, including victims of sexual violence. As a Complex Case Independent Victim Advocate you will work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some evening and weekend working on occasion.

You will need to be able to manage a demanding workload, travel to appointments with clients and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.

About You

You will have:

• An understanding of the impact of crime on victims such as anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, sexual violence and hate crime.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s).
• Experience of managing a caseload including complex case management.
• Experience of outcome focussed working
• A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance essential for some areas, for example rural locations (requirement will be discussed at interview)

You will also contribute to the training, standards setting and advocacy work that Involve does - maintaining and growing our reputation in climate and environment networks and communicating the contribution we can make and impact that we are having.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to the Chair of the Board. Reporting to the Governance Manager & Deputy Secretary, you will be part of the Finance and Assurance directorate.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing personal assistance to the Chair, including the coordination of a confidential calendar, managing requests for attendance, travel arrangements, meeting and event coordination, and ensuring the effective use of the Chair’s time. A high level of confidentiality and discretion will be essential in all aspects of your work. You will bring extensive experience as a Personal Assistant, particularly in supporting senior staff and working within a large organisation. You will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive, who manages the Chief Executive’s schedule and personal arrangements, and with our Governance Admin Co-ordinator, who books travel and accommodation for board and committee meetings. Together, you will ensure the Chair has a well-organised calendar and is fully briefed in advance of key events.

The role is home-based, though you will be required to attend meetings in person, so a current UK passport and residence in the UK are essential.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Working across both Reprieve and Reprieve US, you will make a real impact by focusing on Major Donors, corporate partnerships, and events. With proven fundraising experience, you will bring expertise in at least one of these fundraising disciplines. 

Working closely with the Head of Development, you will play a key role in delivering our Major Donor programmes across the UK and US. This includes coordinating stewardship activities for Major Donors and high-profile supporters, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of an exciting events programme – including a high-end art auction planned for the autumn. 

With support from the Head of Development and the Deputy Director, Legal & Governance, you will also contribute to securing new corporate partnerships, and take the lead in preparing accurate and compelling applications, reports, and communications for corporate partners and Trusts & Foundations.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

As a Benefits Adviser, you’ll provide expert advice and representation to beneficiaries on a wide range of welfare benefit issues. Your role will involve supporting individuals through income maximisation, mandatory reconsiderations, and appeals, including representation at tribunal hearings.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide expert advice on welfare benefits, including entitlements, claims, and complex cases like Student Finance and Armed Forces Pensions.
- Support with overpayments, late claims, and backdating, ensuring beneficiaries understand their rights.
- Advocate for beneficiaries with DWP, SSS, Local Authorities, and HMRC, challenging decisions and securing evidence.
- Prepare and represent cases at First-Tier Tribunals, including overpayments and appeals.
- Assess case strengths, potential outcomes, and legal implications, adapting strategies as needed.
- Stay up to date with legislation, case law, and best practices, ensuring accurate advice and representation.
