The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. The team works closely with colleagues from across the Global Programmes and Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Division, other Save the Children members and with Save the Children International (SCI) country and regional teams to deliver on our partnership objectives. The team is at the forefront of driving the institutional partnership agenda and approach for both Save the Children UK (SCUK) and the Save the Children global movement, ensuring Save the Children is the partner of choice.

About the role

As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.

The focus of the role will include maximising the impact of SCUK's relationships with the UK Government including Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), ensure effective knowledge management and capacity building for the UK Government account internally – including for UK Government funded programmes, pipeline and influencing work.

You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our UK Government engagement, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities. As well as contribute to the development of the wider partnership strategy, lead and contribute to cross team projects.

 In this role, you will: 

• Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnership. This includes:
  • Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.
  • Management of information and status of relationships/financing to keep our leadership (CEO, Executive Directors) up-to-date with our partnerships.
  • Supporting the organisation to continually build strategic understanding of the UK Government and any evolving trends that may impact the relationship.
  • Representing Save the Children with the appropriate partner contacts and providing strong support to colleagues in their external engagement (country, regional and HQ levels).
  • Exploring new avenues of collaboration and new funding modalities to maximise income and return on investment.
  • Secure support from colleagues from across the organisation to contribute to our engagement with the UK government
• Ensure increased quality and consistency in the design, delivery and reporting of all projects/awards. This includes:
  • Development and delivery of donor specific capacity building plans.
  • Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
  • Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.
  • Engaging with wider Save the Children in generating and sharing learning and best practices.
  • Ensuring strong knowledge management systems are in place.
• Collaborating with team members to develop and embed our partnership and management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.

 About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.
• Experience, interest and knowledge of current thinking and future trends and thorough understanding of international development issues.
• Proven experience of providing creative and innovative approaches in developing new initiatives that contribute towards partnership objectives.
• Experience in relationship management, working with Governments, donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
• Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.
• Ideally knowledge of and experience working directly with Governments and other key factors such as multi-lateral institutions e.g. their structures, operations and priorities (geographic, sectorial, thematic, at policy & advocacy levels).
• Ideally a good understanding of project design, quality programming and effective delivery.
• Self-driven: ability to take a pro-active approach and work on own initiative; problem-solving skills and creative thinking in fluid or less structured environments.
• Excellent coordination and relationship building skills in forming and maintaining both internal and external relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and succinct manner, ability to analyse trends and report on key financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Financial:

• Raising purchase orders, processing purchase invoices & expenses & making payments.
• Ensuring appropriate backup is saved within Xero to support accounting transactions.
• Liaising with wholesale customers, raising sales invoices and reviewing ageing debtors following up on payments.
• Routine communication regarding financial information with regulators and banks.

Board of Trustees & CEO support:

• Arranging Board and committee meetings - securing dates, venue bookings, preparing and collating papers and presentations, taking minutes and facilitating actions.
• Coordinate Trust policy reviews and ensure these are completed in a timely manner
• Organising team meetings, team awaydays and collating and sharing information and notes arising from those sessions

Recruitment & HR:

• Preparing documentation & placing adverts.
• Organising interviews both in person and online.
• Processing documentation - new starter details, contracts & updating the HR system.
• Organising and booking staff training as required.
• Arranging DBSs for staff and trustees as required.

Retail:

• Monitoring online stock levels, placing orders for merchandise, and liaising with our fulfilment centre.
• Ensuring our retail management system contains up to date data, by reviewing stock takes, accurately processing orders and updating the database as appropriate.
• Producing quarterly stock take reports.
• Supporting the sales team at Port Lockroy.

General:

• Monitoring inbox, office telephone & postbag
• Working flexibly with colleagues in the broader support of the aims of the Trust. Providing ad hoc administrative support as required.

Terms

Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.

Your new role

• This role will be leading the month end balance sheet reconciliation for cash, credit cards and intercompany accounts. They will be managing external relationships with payment card providers (WorldPay, AMEX, Adyan, Sumup, Nayax, Shopify) Trusts and Individual Donors.
• Responsible for allocating receipts & payments against invoices on the AR and AP ledger and correct coding of grant/sundry income and expenditure.

• Leading the advice to Education, Fundraising, Marketing and IOZ around monies received and returned via bank transfers from Donors or via the DD's route
• Monitoring cheque and CAF payments for un-cleared items and follow up .
• Investigate and seeing through to a successful resolution, any reconciling differences as and when they occur, ensuring any issues are settled in a timely and efficient manner and brought to FAM's attention.
• Accountable for the preparation and posting of Cash and Cashbook journals from the bank accounts on a timely basis and hitting month end deadlines.
• Responsible for investigating unallocated receipts in suspense account and allocating these to the relevant income streams
• Ensuring effective quality control and continuous improvement in all aspects of the work and responsibilities attached to this role and provide enhancements/ recommendations to FAM to safeguard that there are no auditor points raised.

The key duties of this Head of Finance are as follows:

• Prepare annual global organisation budgets by entity, business unit and project.

About the Role

As the Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of the finance function with support from two Finance Officers. This is a pivotal moment to join Challengers as we embark on a new strategic journey, aiming to reach 1,000 families and deliver 100,000 hours of life-changing services for disabled children and young people.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, including trustees, parents, carers, auditors, and statutory funders. Your leadership and expertise will help drive our financial strategy as we work to expand our reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and provide strategic financial insight
• Prepare annual accounts, manage audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies

About You:

• You are a qualified accountant with at least three years of experience in a senior financial role

• You possess excellent skills in financial modelling and database management, particularly in MS Excel

Cornwall Community Accountancy Service are looking for a Chief Executive Officer / Principal Accountant to take over from the founding CEO who is stepping back from the role.Reporting to the trustees this role takes primary responsibility for the day to day management and further development of the Community Accountancy Service to community organisations within Cornwall.The post holder will be a professionally qualified accountant holding a practising certificate, thereby responsible for quality control of all accountancy work performed.

This role would be ideal to work alongside an existing practice or someone who already has their own clients. This is a part time role (15-20 hours per week) with a salary of £63,700 FTE.The role would be with an immediate start with handover from the current CEO up until April 2025.The CEO is happy to remain on hand for support for the foreseeable future.

About the Role
