DOTW UK has a small, high-performing and dynamic services team dedicated to delivering high quality, person-centred healthcare in a fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional personal and team performance.

We are looking for a GP with experience of providing healthcare to excluded groups outside of regular healthcare settings to play a key clinical role in the development and delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London and delivery of primary care within a HIV outreach project. The outreach services will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners. We also will deliver HIV support and testing services including clinical consultation to those not registered with a GP.

You will lead by example, with your demonstrable experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care to people seeking asylum or other excluded community, as well as deploying your effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills. The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, is committed to high standards of care, and will be able to work productively and constructively within a close-knit team by demonstrating an open and responsive attitude and using your excellent communication skills.

You will have strong IT skills and ideally a driving licence to be able to support us to deliver our services in our dedicated mobile clinic vans. You will have the skills to work independently and manage your own and volunteers' health and safety, sometimes working alone.

About the Role

As the Outreach and Engagement Lead for Enfield SASS, you would be working on an exciting new project to train and upskill local businesses to respond effectively to Violence Against Women and Girls. The focus would be on engaging businesses operating in the nighttime economy, to access Enfield Council training to support their staff to safeguard and respond to incidents or disclosures of gender-based violence in the local area. You would be working closely with Enfield Council and the Police to set up and run the 6-month project.

About You

You will need a passion for tackling VAWG and a thorough understanding of gender based violence and its impact on women and their children.

You will have excellent communication skills, in order to liaise and engage with businesses, stakeholders and Enfield Council. You will also have the ability to collate data and report on the project outcomes. You will be able to work autonomously and use initiative in the project management, with the support of the Service Manager and project steering group.

We are seeking to appoint a Money Advice Case Worker with extensive experience of welfare benefits, debt advice and the relief of poverty.  Holding an IMA (Institute of Money Advisers’) qualification or recent GGDA (Giving Good Debt Advice) training will be essential.

We need to appoint someone who will understand and work with the clients who access our services, who are often vulnerable with multiple and complex needs and who will also work well as part of the team.  Based in Castle Vale our clients are from the Castle Vale Ward and the North East of Birmingham with some clients coming from the wider Birmingham area.  We are embedded in the local community and are passionate about improving the lives of the families, young and older people who reach to us for support.  We work hard to remove barriers, reduce isocial solation and increase financial inclusion for all our clients.

The appointee will need to have extensive experience of Legal Services Commission casework in the context of the Advice Quality Standard and will have worked in a target driven environment but who will also understand that people will always be our priority.  

Key Job purpose/Core Duties:

a) The delivery to AQS standard of the core Money Advice (benefit and debt casework) Service. This may be via telephone, MS Teams, email or face to face.

b) The provision of advocacy and court representation at tribunals or other statutory bodies as appropriate.

c) Taking client instructions; this may include, but is not limited to; drafting letters/emails to the client and third parties, preparing financial statements and negotiating with third parties.

d) Ensuring income maximisation through the take up of appropriate welfare benefits.

e) The support, with other team members/volunteers, of the delivery of the service on an outreach basis if required.

f) Working to targets to ensure that we meet all our contractual obligations.

g) Managing own caseload, opening and closing cases appropriately and carrying out reviews as required by AQS and the Head of Advice.

h) Maintain accurate case and client records using our digital case management system and for purpose of continuity of client casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and reporting preparation to AQS standards.

Brief Summary of offer:

The Partnerships Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will assist the Strategic Partnerships Manager to maintain and build key school relationships and networks contributing to customer retention and business growth.

The role:
 
As a Young Adult Intervention Coach (YIC), you will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of tailored intervention coaching plans for each at risk young person on your caseload. You will work to achieve progression outcomes for each young person that includes reducing mental, physical, and emotional harm and supporting each young person transition to positive, thriving lifestyle both on a one-to-one basis, and in partnership with other individuals and agencies involved in the lives of each young person.

Your purpose is to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialised one to one harm reduction and life skills coaching. 

Alongside this you will work with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention such as knife and gun crime crisis situations as well as working with partner agencies.

You will have robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advocacy, Policy and Campaigns Manager to join our team. The successful individual will be expected to contribute to the co-design and implementation a successful Advocacy, Policy and Campaigns agenda at Girls Not Brides.

Working with colleagues across the organisation, the  successful candidate will be expected to bring a global lens into all aspects of the Partnership’s work, including: providing significant support in advocacy, policy and campaigns strategy development, planning and representation;  leading an effective advocacy and policy influencing agenda for Girls Not Brides informed by our members and other allies;  co-creating transformative campaign agendas to galvanise the global movement and continue to raise the profile of ending child marriage across multiple forums.

We are looking for a passionate and talented professional who is good at networking and has demonstrable experience of developing and implementing advocacy strategies and campaigns, ideally with previous work experience related to girls, adolescents, and women’s rights, employing a feminist approach.

The successful individual will be an empowering and collaborative manager, who is able to provide leadership as well as be a good people manager. They will also work with colleagues, trustees, high-level champions, and other advocates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective Advocacy and Policy influencing

• Lead delivery of Girls Not Brides key sector integration agenda within the Advocacy and Policy strategy including maintaining strong existing partnerships and identifying new allies to enhance broader sector integration of ending child marriage.
• Analyse, develop and implement strategic outreach and engagement plans for priority sectors (SHRH, Education, Humanitarian and Climate Change) through partnerships and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for external advocacy and policy engagement and design and project manage the implementation of influencing strategies.
• Provide technical expertise on key influencing projects and agendas and  provide technical advocacy expertise and management to Girls Not Brides 2030 Accelerator Roadmap
• Workclosely with regional colleagues, support and facilitate direct and indirect engagements with policymakers and decision makers at the local, national, regional and global level, as well as those who influence and advise to take action to end child marriage.
• Lead on ensuring strong synergies between advocacy at national, regional and global levels, coordinating between advocacy team members in the regions and the global advocacy team.
• Support global stakeholder engagement including working with relevant UN organizations, sector leaders, and thematic international organisations to ensure that child marriage is reflected in their policies, budgets and programming. 
• Work with regional colleagues to support, National Partnerships and members to develop and use advocacy skills, and monitor, analyse, influence and respond to relevant legislative and policy opportunities at the global, regional and national level.
• Lead production and dissemination of policy and advocacy content including fact sheets, policy briefs, updates, and position statements. 
• Work with the regional teams and the wider policy and advocacy leads to develop and deliver tailor made-capacity development webinars and learning series around policy and advocacy across the secretariat and global partnership.
• Support and advise regional advocacy leads to integrate Girls Not Brides members and partners into global advocacy opportunities and strategies, supporting them in undertaking coordinated advocacy around global and national moments.
• Work with geographic and subject matter experts to create policy positions and key messages, developing and delivering strategic advocacy plans against chosen priority issues, both for secretariat and with members.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of national advocacy strategies, as required and lead by National Partnerships.
• Liaise closely with Girls Not Brides learning team, and other expert partners to identify and centre on latest evidence and technical expertise for all advocacy and policy inputs

 Strategy Development Planning and Representation

• Contribute significantly to development, refinement and integration of policy, and campaigning into the existing global advocacy strategy, providing technical recommendations on priority issues and approaches.
• Contributes to defining the relevant thematic advocacy, policy and campaigns, agenda and determining specific approaches and tactics to follow in pursuit of outcomes.
• Determine and leads on appropriate approaches and tactics for specific advocacy and campaign themes and approaches (providing deep technical and issue expertise).
• Represent Girls Not Brides advocacy and policy priorities to key advocacy and policy stakeholders including Governments, donors and partners for buy-in and support.
• Represents and participates (with members and partners) of Girls Not Brides at key meetings for advocacy and influencing.

Transformational campaigns

• Working closely with regional colleagues and the External Engagement team support the global movement to harness its potential through campaigns and ensure Girls Not Brides connects, empowers and amplifies diverse groups around the world united behind a shared cause.
• Coordinate Girls Not Brides’ work with local groups, activists, girls and their families to use campaigning and engagement to shift socio-cultural attitudes, including among elders and community leaders, about how girls can and should expect to be treated, respected and empowered.
• Identify and co-create with colleagues at least four big moments in the year, either at the global, regional or national level where members of the wider movement can come together to collaborate for change, engage young activists, and support and learn from each other.
• Work closely with the Development and Outreach team to support and deploy champions, ambassadors, youth leaders and high-profile influencers to advance the cause of ending child marriage.
• Work closely with Communications team and regional colleagues to build collaborative campaigns as required for public facing advocacy.
• Works closely with Girls Not Brides Communication team to communicate on advocacy calls to action and critical outcomes - building support base for advocacy and effectively reaching niche target audiences.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience

• Significant professional experience in a similar level role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise.
• Post graduate degree-level or above qualification in a relevant area such as public policy, development studies, international relations, human rights or gender issues or proven experience in a related field plus extensive relevant professional training.
• Advanced and demonstrable understanding of policy and advocacy, influencing and campaigning.
• Broad-based experience in building alliances and working relationships in and between UN institutions, other multilateral organisations, bilateral agencies and government ministries, leading international NGOs, foundations, small grass-roots groups, and champions of social change.
• Demonstrated ability and understanding of how to deliver effective advocacy, policy and influencing strategies on global social issues that align with and further an organisation’s strategic goals.
• Proven ability and experience in working with coalitions and the ability to effectively inform international policy discussions with the realities of grass-roots work.
• Excellent strategic thinking and practical planning ability.

ACCESS TO A CAR AND A CLEAN FULL DRIVING LICENCE IS A REQUIREMENT OF THIS POSITION

Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow & Brent work in partnership with Harrow Carers to deliver a Discharge Support Service in Northwick Park Hospital and we are looking to recruit a Service Coordinator to help us in supporting vulnerable older people in Harrow and Brent who have been in hospital and are now ready for discharge. The service delivers transport home, settle in visits, follow up and community support.

The Service Coordinator will act as the point of contact for the Hospital Discharge and ward teams for referrals. The Service Coordinator will then coordinate the support workers and volunteers to deliver the service - and will be part of the delivery themselves. 

A key part of the role will be to ensure there is good communication with patients and clinicians. You will also need to monitor delivery, oversee record keeping and ensure service quality. 

Please note there is no personal or clinicial care involved in this role.

CPAG is looking for a welfare rights expert to manage our Early Warning System.

With a new government in place this is a great time to join the Advice and Rights Team at CPAG as we look to influence policy makers and parliamentarians and support the advice sector in delivering a fair and comprehensive social security system in the UK.

The Early Warning System (EWS) collates evidence of long-term concerns and developing issues within the benefit system, from the advice sector and beyond. EWS evidence is used to develop and promotes improvements to the benefits system with our colleagues in the Policy Team, as part of our work to end child poverty.

The EWS officer will actively promote the EWS, encouraging contributions from advisers and claimants. The EWS officer will record and analyse case studies as well as the issues which arise on our advice services, to provide insight on the impact of changes to the benefits system and evidence for our campaigning and research work.

You will play a key role in responding to calls for evidence and consultations, and liaison with the DWP and other policy makers. You will work closely with the advice sector through publications, briefings and events such as seminars and conferences, to increase advisers’ awareness of the concerns highlighted by the EWS and to promote solutions to support claimants.
