Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

The Role
Working closely with each client, the post holder will lead a dedicated finance team responsible for:
- The provision of routine management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
- Budget building and longer-term financial planning.
- The production of year-end accounts, managing relationships with various stakeholders, including the external auditors.
- Supporting with funding proposals and the provision of strategic advice to the Executive Teams and Board.
- Ensuring that the day-to-day financial accounting activity of each charity is undertaken efficiently and effectively
- Providing financial leadership by continually reviewing and improving systems, procedures, and policies to ensure our charities are set up to succeed.
The Right Person
We are looking for a team player who can demonstrate relevant finance experience, either by qualification or by time spent working in the sector.
Working with a number of charities, this role will require excellent communication and project management skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with many stakeholders, including Board. You must be self-motivated, driven and have the discipline to manage your own time and workload.

Bradford NHS Trust is responsible for providing hospital services for around 500,000 people, and specialist services for some 1.1 million. The Role
You will be joining the Charity at an exciting time as they work towards the plan to become a fully independent Charity by 2025. You will be responsible for overseeing an ambitious fundraising strategy as well as leading the capital appeal to expand the neonatal unit.
A key element of this role will be to identify new opportunities to grow and develop new income streams, providing team leadership to Charity team and their activities to build the fundraising and grant-making capacity.
As Charity Director you will play a key role in developing new strategies and diversifying income streams as well as working closely with the Chair of the Charity to a devise a brand-new five-year plan for the Charity.
About you
You must have had significant experience of leading a small or medium sized charity or have been a senior manager within a larger charity, including demonstrable experience in leading successful change management and service developments as well as be able to demonstrate that you have successfully worked towards targets. Capital appeal experience would also be advantageous. You also need experience of devising and implementing a strategic fundraising plan.

The role
In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day management of Trust and Foundation fundraising. Your responsibilities will include building long-term partnerships with trusts and foundations, ensuring support through in-depth research, excellent stewardship, and timely and accurate reporting. We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by supporting the charity’s growing research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.
The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Research and Evaluation Manager. The team is also supported by a number of colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.
The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. About the role
The Senior External Affairs Manager is responsible for overseeing the NHS Confederation’s strategy for how it engages with central government, parliamentarians, political parties and national stakeholders so that the organisation can effectively influence on behalf of its members.
This post will support the expansion of the organisation’s political and cross-Whitehall connections and its public affairs ambitions following the 2024 UK General Election. The NHS is a major priority for the new government and we will increasing our political engagement on behalf of our members – both nationally and regionally as we respond to the government’s devolution agenda.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be influence changes that could be in place for a generation. As such, we are looking for someone with experience in steering Parliamentary discourse, and on engaging constructively with the Government.

This is a key new role for the public fundraising team at Sense, focused specifically on the challenges/mass participation events portfolio. This role leads the national events portfolio, which includes a £1m+ London Marathon Event. Given the current weighting to third party events you'll consider how to maximise the potential of these opportunities, assessing the drivers of supporters to fundraise on behalf of Sense and engage with the charity. Alongside this, you'll look at the scope of opportunities to develop new charity-owned events, also considering the possibilities for virtual events within this context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4 (2 direct reports) to drive income growth, innovation and integrated supporter engagement activities.
- Lead the development of the National Events strategy, creating a balanced portfolio of offerings and ensuring consistent delivery of high quality supporter engagement materials.
- Oversee the delivery of all third party and charity-owned events activity.
- Identify opportunities for new events, partnerships and products - further diversifying the organisation's events portfolio by leading on product development.
Person Specification:
- Expertise in managing challenge event fundraising teams, with a track record of generating growth in participation and income.
- Experience in bringing new events to market - from inception to launch and review.
- Strong team leadership skills - establishing a culture focused on innovation and creativity, whilst supporting staff performance and development.
- Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels, including external suppliers/contacts.

For a leading charity for girls and young women in the UK, we're recruiting a Financial Controller to join their ambitious, busy, and dynamic Finance and Commercial Team in London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage all day-to-day financial controls and processing and will lead on the year-end audit and statutory reporting process. Whilst providing expert advice on VAT and other taxes, the Financial Controller will also take a lead on strengthening financial controls and systems and will lead and develop a Finance team of 3 staff.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead all day-to-day financial controls and processing for HQ and lead the financial support to stakeholders.
- Lead on annual external Audit across the Group (Charity and Trading Subsidiary) and prepare statutory financial statements - being the main point of contact with the Auditors
- Lead strategic oversight of the cash flow and investments
- Provide first-class advice on all tax matters. Prepare VAT and Corporation Tax returns, maximise Gift Aid, and support HR with payroll taxes
- Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of 3 staff (Financial Operations Lead, Finance Officer and Finance Assistant)
- Partner with the Systems Accountant in the identification and implementation of systems changes and developments
What you'll offer us:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with solid experience of managing year-end and annual audit processes

Overall Purpose of Role
The Corporate and Individual Donor Manager will play a leading role in driving our fundraising strategy, cultivating and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and individual donors to secure vital funding for our programmes. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Corporate Donor Management
