Why St Stephen’s?

We are growing resource church with over 500 people attending every week.  Our vision at St Stephen’s is to Love God, Grow Disciples and Transform Communities. Sundays are central to how we do this, as we gather across four services (one online) to worship God together and learn from His Word.  We are passionate about our ever-expanding youth, children’s and families' ministries; equipping each other to be Whole Life Disciples; enabling people to explore faith through Alpha; and transforming society through church planting, and various social transformation ministries.  We are presently undertaking a new strategy process and are excited where God might lead us for the next few years.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Creative Communications Lead is a key role within the Creative Team.  Working in collaboration with the Operations Team, the role holder has responsibility for the strategic oversight of internal and external communications and the practical ability to continue to develop the excellent design, social media and film content that enables and enhances St Stephen’s ministry.  We are looking for someone with a passion for creative comms, practical skills to enable the delivery and strategic oversight to bring it all into being.

Key objectives

· To hold the ‘voice’ of St Stephens

· To ensure the ‘look’ of St Stephens reflects the ‘voice’ with clarity and consistency

· To strategically plan and implement the churches comms – to enable external and internal engagement

· To imagine ways to continually innovate and improve our communications

· To ensure that all St Stephens media and communications output is high quality, consistent, clear and compelling

· To support all ministry areas with design, media and communications needs

· To produce all key communications and publicity materials to support the ministry of St Stephens: across digital and physical platforms

· To develop and oversee systems which enable integration into the life of the church

Responsibilities

· Design and production of all video / visual media for Sundays, ad hoc events, social channels and St Stephen’s website

· Oversight and continued development of St Stephen’s social media channels

· Oversight and production of the church–wide monthly / weekly email

· Working closely with the Creative / Worship Team to enable the production of worship nights and other creative projects etc.

· To develop and manage the website including on-going updates

· Liaising with printers / external support as necessary

The details

· £32-34K depending on experience

· 40 hours/5 days a week including at 1 Sunday morning service and 1 Sunday evening service per month to gather visual media content, to be worked flexibly to cover ministry needs

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe. 

Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.  

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to London charities, schools, food banks, food hubs and other organisations serving people in need. Thousands of individuals volunteer regularly across The Felix Project’s four depots and kitchen, with a smaller number in Fundraising and other teams. Job Vacancy – Regional Adviser

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an experienced, proactive and customer focused adviser to support the work of the wider Advice and Support team

The post holder will be responsible for the Midlands area plus other areas as required with an expectation of completing in person visits across the allocated counties.  The role therefore requires access to your own vehicle and to reliable broadband. A car allowance and mileage will be paid on top of the salary.

The right candidate will enjoy and excel at building relationships and supporting individuals and families in distress and in times of need using skills and experiences to give clear information advice and guidance as well as supporting with applications for a charitable grant.  Experience of  managing their own diary and workload as well as  significant experience of working in an educational, health or social care environment is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role along with the ability to show empathy.

IT equipment and a company mobile phone will also be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.

About the Masonic Charitable Foundation

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.

Our work helps to encourage opportunity, promote independence and improve wellbeing for thousands of people each year.  Last year, the MCF awarded support totalling around £20 million.  Our support is funded from the donations of freemasons, their families and friends.

Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. Main responsibilities

• Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:
  • provide support and advice; and
  • determine relevant support from the MCF or other agencies to meet their needs
• Face-to-face visits, video conferencing and in-depth telephone calls are required to provide extensive and detailed support.
• Production of accurate and comprehensive reports detailing agreed plans and all relevant supporting documents
• Liaising with colleagues within the department to provide guidance and support in processing applications for our extensive range of grants to assist those in need

Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Lead role is to support safeguarding practice in dioceses and cathedrals across the Church of England.

As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will support the development of best safeguarding practices in one of eight regional clusters of Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and cathedrals. Providing professional supervision and quality assurance to Safeguarding Officers, you will support the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice. You will also support Church bodies to respond to the findings of the Independent Safeguarding Audit Programme.

You will facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources, group supervision, and the commissioning of joint initiatives between Church bodies. Working closely with senior managers, senior clergy and other stakeholders, you will ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.

You'll be responsible for:

• Providing 1:1 professional supervision to Safeguarding Officers in dioceses and cathedrals, informed by the 4x4x4 integrated/restorative model of supervision (Morrisson & Wonnacott).
• Providing advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations.
• Using tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes ensuring the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
• Leading regional networks of safeguarding professionals from dioceses and cathedrals, and facilitating joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements.
• Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders within dioceses and cathedrals, in particular, their senior leadership teams.

We are looking for our Youth President for 2025-2026 to work with the Connexional Team to:

• Enable, encourage and enthuse children and young people to get involved in every aspect of Church life
• Represent and host 3Generate, the Children and Youth Assembly of the Methodist Church
• Listen to the voices of children and young people from across the Methodist Church in Britain and to be advocate for them in the life of the Church at every level – this may involve a lot of independent travel, and evening and weekend travel
• Influence the decision-making of the Church by sharing the opinions and priorities of children and young people

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to travel and work around Britain and overseas, supporting children and young people from all backgrounds. The work is challenging and varied and you will have experience of public speaking, debating, team and independent working, report writing, listening and facilitation, worship leading and more.

Prospectus is excited to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice in their search for a Corporate Fundraising Officer. The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.

This is a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours a week) position paying a salary of £28,442.60 - £34,266.04 FTE depending on experience. The role is based at their site in Thurrock, Essex.

The Corporate Fundraising Officer will implement an approved strategy which seeks to successfully engage the many local businesses and companies within their community. The post holder will be working proactively, reactively and strive to ensure excellent stewardship for their corporate supporters. In addition, you will identify, research and analyse activities resulting in increased income generation and raised awareness of the Hospice.

What you will be doing:

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will be responsible for overall fundraising budget at halow whilst leading and shaping the philanthropy and partnerships team and programme to develop and sustain a pipeline of supporters via a programme of high impact donor focused stewardship of existing donors (major donors) and new major donor relationships, trusts and corporates.

Experience:

* Experience of managing a fundraising team
* Proven experience in securing strategic funding partnerships, including scoping opportunities and prospects, setting targets and building a pipeline, sourcing new business, and building long term relationships

You will work closely with the Executive Director to understand the Society’s priorities and support the delivery of our strategy by developing relevant guidance and policy projects, whilst horizon scanning to seek opportunities for the Society to have influence externally.

About You

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of coordinating and delivering policy responses, working with internal and external stakeholders in the development of policy and projects, and raising awareness of an organisation’s profile with politicians, policymakers and opinion formers.

You must have the ability to assimilate complex policy topics quickly, a solid understanding of political and policy processes, and be an excellent communicator.
