About the role:
Chuf are looking for an Events Fundraiser to join their lovely collaborative fundraising team. You’ll work with the Director of Fundraising and Operations to develop their events strategy and offering and grow events fundraising to raise awareness and support for Chuf. You’ll plan and deliver a wide range of Chuf events, working with the fundraising team to ensure you meet objectives, raise funds, and provide an excellent experience for supporters.
The Events Fundraiser will also provide excellent supporter service to all enquiries from members of the public via phone, mail, in person and online to encourage their support. You’ll feed into social media contributing to successful online awareness and fundraising. You’ll also build and manage relationships with suppliers and gift in kind fundraisers through correspondence, phone calls, invitations and visits.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. What you'll do:

Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift
Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed
Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g. accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities
Report any observations relating to customers welfare
Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times

We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Youth Worker (Youth Voice), supporting our mission to enable young people who are homeless, facing homelessness or unsafe to achieve independence and positive futures.
The successful candidate will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in ensuring a diverse range of young people’s voices are heard, facilitating inclusive activities which increase youth participation across all our services and leading on the delivery of our youth forums. We have an ambitious plan to improve and accelerate our youth voice strategy and this role will be at the heart of this delivery.
You should be experienced in designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities and group work with and for young people and be able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about youth engagement and skilled in bringing out the ideas, voices and opinions of young people to shape service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in running participatory youth projects, co-production, youth engagement sessions and/or community engagement.

Teddington Methodist Circuit are seeking a families and community layworker who can both work effectively with church groups, as well as offer a confident outward-looking approach to working with local communities, especially where there is a high level of social need.
The principal role will be to support the five circuit churches in delivering a range of projects designed to promote more active participation by children and their families in church life.
Building on an existing foundation of well-established groups, but with the scope to plan fresh initiatives in response to identified need, the postholder will be expected to provide direct leadership and support to volunteers who help deliver these services.

We are seeking a candidate who can bring experience of delivering successful children and families groups and projects within a church context, and applying it to support the circuit in achieving its mission of engagement, participation and growing in faith. New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.

We are seeking a Therapeutic Practitioner to join our newly established Health Team. This specialist role will enhance our current provision and improve the quality and breadth of mental health support available to young people. The successful candidate will work within the Health Team, in collaboration with our partner organisation Camden & Islington Young People's Service, to deliver 1:1 emotional and practical support, assist in our drop-in service, and facilitate workshops for all young people experiencing homelessness.
You will specialise in helping young people improve their self-confidence while improving their understanding of difficult emotions such as anger. Additionally, you will focus on developing their thinking and practical skills, as well as coping and de-escalation strategies. Your work will aim to improve relationships among young people within the day centre, and continue to promote trauma informed working practices across New Horizon, so that all of our services are designed to address the psychological and emotional needs of young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness.
You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of an important and innovative new role. You will be provided with your own theraputic support delivered by a highly experienced clinical psychologist and regular individual and group clinical supervision. You will also be given opportunities for further professional development through training and consultation through New Horizon and our Camden & Islington's Young People Service.

About the Role
The Street Engagement Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides person-led support to people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs.
A day in this role is never the same – part of it will be spent on the street, offering support to people experiencing homelessness. You might be out with another member of the team, or with one of our specialist health partners like a homeless health nurse, or substance use worker.
You will also be supporting the Enhanced Practitioners with their caseloads day-to-day, responding to ad-hoc outreach referrals, and contributing to the overall running of the team in a duty capacity.
You will have experience in delivering a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are street homeless. You will be excellent at building and strengthening trust in relationships. You will be a problem solver, with a positive attitude towards change and service development.
You will also have the personal credibility to build confidence in the wider community and across partnerships. You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the relationships with a commitment to embed coproduction into The Connections services.
Salary: £33,860
