The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is looking for an Examiner Engagement and Support Coordinator to ensure our examiners feel empowered, valued, and supported in their critical contributions to our exams.
The RCR is a professional membership body for Doctors who work in cancer care and medical imaging. Our examiners are clinical oncologists, clinical radiologists and other specialists, who work voluntarily as contributors developing exam questions, delivering assessments to candidates and shaping the future of FRCR exams. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the clinical expertise needed to run the RCR’s exams is available via both UK and global examiners.
The postholder will have strong people skills with the ability to build good relationships, excellent communication and organisational skills will be key to your success. The post holder will be the first point of contact for potential new, and existing, examiners and will work closely with exam chairs and across all exam boards and committees, ensuring that examiners have the tools they need to deliver as an examiner alongside their clinical commitments, including alleviating any pain points. Examiner recruitment and coordinating induction and training - plus the set-up of meetings, events and panels - will form part of the workload.
As our Examiner Engagement and Support Coordinator you will deliver real value to those doctors who give up their valuable time to work with us.
What you’ll do:
- Write and update engaging examiner recruitment materials such as terms of reference, job descriptions, scoring criteria and advertising communication.
- Actively promote examiner recruitment to UK and global audiences, including drafting text and ensuring that promotional recruitment materials are relevant and engaging.
- Build and develop mechanisms to communicate with examiners, ensuring they feel included in the work of both the exams team and the wider college.
- Support examiners with travel and accommodation bookings where necessary, in collaboration with the RCR’s appointed travel agent and the RCR’s Facilities function.
- Support committees by managing the logistical support for meetings and preparing quality agendas.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in providing administrative support and managing administrative processes, systems and procedures.
- Experience in financial administration, including the compiling of financial spreadsheets and monitoring budgets.
- Experience of committee procedures and processes, including preparing agendas and recording accurate actions.
- Experience using and maintaining a database or equivalent to store and retrieve information so that information is kept up to date and available

Key Responsibilities
To manage the day to day running of our branches volunteer service, offering emotional and practical support to those with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, along with those closest to them, such as family, friends and carers when our branch managers are on annual leave or ill.
Main Duties
- To provide cover at any of the 5 Being There branches
- To take client referrals and liaise with relevant health, social service and voluntary services staff
- To attend and assist at social groups, excursions and support meetings at any branch as required
- To arrange client transport for medical appointments
- To attend client support group
- To ensure ongoing support for clients
- To record accurate details of each contact with clients always maintaining confidentiality

Advocates for International Development (A4ID) is a charity with a vision to see the law and lawyers play their full part in the global eradication of poverty and advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). About the role
The role of the Project Officer - International Development (POID) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs. The POID will do this by engaging PBLS’s existing network of international NGOs, expanding this network by connecting with new international NGOs, and providing international development expertise to support and enhance the services and products within PBLS.
The POID will engage CSOs/NGOs globally to build partnerships and identify needs for pro bono legal assistance. This role will also support PBLS objective in brokering international pro bono legal opportunities to fulfil these needs, by connecting legal experts/expertise with CSOs/NGOs, including the weekly circulation of pro bono projects to legal partners or long-term and more complex strategic projects. The POID will conduct due diligence, allocate projects to appropriate legal partners, maintain related records and gather relevant feedback on a periodic basis. The POID will provide support on internal reporting, and will also draft external communications. The POID will also be responsible for other internal administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). The Membership Engagement Officer is an exciting and varied role at the College as you will be responsible for increasing engagement with members and enhancing the member experience, whilst driving engagement initiatives and increasing member retention.
As Membership Engagement Officer, you will work with multiple teams across the College helping to develop and implement strategies to attract, engage and retain members through events, social media, newsletters and other communication channels while developing content that caters for our diverse membership groups.
Working with the Communications Team, you will help create and manage engaging content for member communications, ensuring opportunities for two-way communications and engagement, whilst also ensuring the best use of emerging channels and technology – e.g. podcasts, apps and webinars – to deliver content to members, segmented to our different audience members.
Reporting to the Head of Membership, you will support the delivery of the Member Value Proposition work, gathering and analysing member feedback to inform development and identify opportunities for improvement. You will also evaluate the effectiveness of engagement strategies by tracking engagement metrics and be responsible for preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
Helping to plan and deliver member events, workshops and networking opportunities to foster community collaboration, you will also be responsible for the production of the annual report as well as supporting the delivery of the AGM and its associated content each year.
With a good level of education, perhaps to degree level or with equivalent experience in communications, marketing or a related field, you will have proven experience in member engagement, communications or a customer relations role.
You should have a background in delivering member-focused communications and events and be adept at using two-way channels for engagement, whilst also having experience of successfully implementing process improvement to improve the member experience. Practical knowledge and experience of updating and managing CRM and similar systems as well as effectively using data to identify trends is essential.
Your strong understanding of what good engagement and customer service looks like and how to deliver this, combined with your knowledge of how to maximise our reach across social media channels to target audiences will ensure you are able to make sound judgments and understand what makes engaging and relevant content for the audience.
You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, whilst being capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders and working collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues towards a common goal.
Experience of working within a charity in an addition to an awareness of fundraising, would be desirable.

Main Responsibilities
As Regional Support Officer you will provide full administrative services to a team that is geographically dispersed across the region with a regional office based in Taunton. You will manage office logistics, financial process and ensure compliance with organisational policies regarding GDPR, health and safety, including undertaking risk assessments. 1. Organisational leadership and people management

Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.
