About the role
The UK Network of Age-friendly Communities has grown significantly over the past five years and now has a membership of over 85 places. Part of a global movement of age-friendly cities and communities, affiliated to the World Health Organisation, our goal is to support this growing network, ensuring it remains a positive and thriving community of practice, and a place for good ideas to spread fast.
You will be working with the Age-friendly Communities Manager to achieve this goal and to inspire, connect and support network members using a range of engaging methods including:
· Creating online and offline resources such as blogs, case studies, toolkits, etc
· The design and delivery of training, events, and workshops
· Facilitating connections, information flow and exchange between members
This is hands-on role will delivering key learning activities, managing your own workload, whilst also being responsive to support Network members. The role is pivotal to ensuring our support for the Network is high-quality and inclusive of a diverse range of experience and expertise, from within the Network and beyond.

The Job
The Communications Officer will play a critical role in GISF’s Communications team, working closely with the Communications Lead. The Communications team supports the work of all other teams across GISF, including Research, Membership & Events, Policy & Advocacy, and more.
The Communications Officer will work on a wide array of communications outputs, including social media, e-newsletters, the GISF website, printed brochures, branded materials, the GISF podcast, and more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a diverse range of communications products, using different software tools, and consulting with a variety of external contractors, such as web developers and printers. Being proactive and adaptable are key skills for this role.
Job Description
The Communications Officer will be responsible for creating content across a wide range of Communications platforms. Some of the core duties of the role include:
- Organising GISF’s social media posting on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). This includes writing text for social media posts, designing graphics using Canva, and scheduling posts using Agorapulse. The Communications Officer is also expected to follow social media and sectoral trends to identify opportunities for engagement.
- Maintaining and updating GISF website content. This includes uploading new resources and publications; ensuring the vacancies, events and training sections of the website are regularly updated; and acting as a contact point with GISF’s external web development support team, to introduce new elements to the website and resolve issues when they arise. The Communications Officer also collects monthly website data using Google Analytics.
- Writing and designing GISF’s fortnightly newsletter. The newsletter is designed and sent using Mailerlite, with graphics created on Canva. The Communications Officer is expected to proactively suggest content for the newsletter and make sure it reflects the latest news from GISF, as well as the wider sector of NGO security risk management.
- Designing printed materials. These can include flyers, brochures, display banners, and more for GISF events and external events. The Communications Officer is expected to ensure promotional materials are designed, printed and delivered in a timely manner to maximise engagement with attendees at events.
- Supporting in the dissemination of new GISF publications and products. The Communications Officer is expected to take a proactive approach in reaching out to external contacts to promote GISF’s latest content. The Communications Officer should develop a dissemination plan for each new product, encompassing external outreach, member engagement, social media promotion, and more.
- Supporting with the creation and dissemination of GISF’s podcast. This includes attending planning meetings to develop new episode ideas; assisting with recordings; liaising with external audio editors; uploading episodes to Spotify and YouTube; and promoting the podcast though social media, newsletters, and more.
Strategic support
The GISF Communications team consists of two people, and GISF has a staff workforce of around 20. Therefore, the Communications Officer is expected to play an active role in the team, contributing new ideas to both the Communications team and the wider organisation. This includes:
- Contributing to the development of GISF communication plans. The Communications Officer is expected to bring a clear plan of the communications schedule to regular meetings. They will think creatively and suggest new ideas including ways to grow GISF’s audiences, implementing plans for promoting specific GISF publications, and more.
- Identifying possible allies for GISF communications. This might include other NGOs, journalists, think tanks, or universities that cover similar areas of interest to GISF and can promote GISF content or collaborate on podcasts, blogs, events or webinars. The Communications Officer is expected to proactively identify and reach out to such individuals and organisations and connect with them on specific projects.
- Interpreting GISF’s analytics data to inform better strategies. The Communications Officer is responsible for gathering data for GISF’s monthly reporting, including analytics from GISF’s website, social media and e-newsletter. The Communications Officer is expected to note trends and suggest improvements.

About Link UP London and Social Impact Solutions
There has been exciting growth in Link UP London’s corporate programme, Social Impact Solutions, in the past year and, in 2024, we delivered bespoke skilled volunteering engagements for staff from Amazon UK, Boston Consulting Group, Smart DCC and King’s Cross/Related Argent. Social Impact Solutions is continuing to grow, and we are looking to bring someone in who can play an integral part of its delivery and development.
Link UP London works to build stronger communities. Since 2016 we have done this by connecting small Social Good Organisations or SGOs (i.e. charities, Community Interest Companies, community groups and social enterprises) with Skilled Volunteers, helping these organisations to address strategic and operational issues, build capacity and better tackle the multiple complex challenges facing their communities. Link UP connects these organisations to the abundance of talent that exists in and around our capital city.
Launched in early 2023 and building on our Skilled Volunteering model, Social Impact Solutions enables corporate skills-based employee volunteering. Each structured engagement provides corporate employees with direct ways to provide concrete support to community causes and drive social impact, while building leadership, wellbeing and job satisfaction that translates back into the workplace. A range of corporate group volunteering engagement options, fully facilitated by Link UP London, are offered from just a few hours to projects lasting several months. These include:
- Flash Consulting advice clinics (2-hours),
- Marathon Days (4-6 hours) and
- Our flagship Be the Change Programme (a multi-month engagement).
Our new Corporate Programme Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Link UP Social Impact Solutions corporate engagements are effective in their goal of delivering high quality, meaningful volunteer experience as well as valuable and relevant support to the charities that participate.
We expect there to be delivery of 10+ Social Impact Solutions corporate engagements across 2025, building the groundwork for ongoing future growth. Social Impact Solutions is a critical part of Link UP’s overall strategy for growth in the coming years and can learn more about it here.
Role Details
Title: Corporate Programme Manager
Time Commitment: 3 days a week (with the possibility of increasing to 4 days within a year)
Format: Hybrid - remote and in-person (target 1-2 days in the London office in-person per week)
Purpose: To support the delivery and development of Link UP London’s Social Impact Solutions Corporate Skilled Volunteering programme, bringing our well-established Skilled Volunteer model to more companies in London.
Report: The Corporate Programme Manager will report to the Head of Corporate Partnerships and will work closely with the Skilled Volunteering team and Communications Manager to carry out full delivery of the programme.
Role Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinating and delivering our corporate engagements from start to finish including:
- Ensuring each Social Impact Solutions engagement and corporate event is delivered to a high quality
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding of corporate volunteers
- Recruiting and onboarding charitable organisations, including outreach to both existing contacts and new cold leads
- Matching volunteers with charitable organisations based on needs and relevant skills
- Liaising with volunteers and charitable organisations prior to engagement to ensure clarity and attendance
- Leading each engagement alongside the Head of Corporate Partnerships and with support from Skilled Volunteering Officer
- Ensuring timely follow-up, feedback gathering and reporting, including writing a detailed Impact Report summarising the results of each engagement
Running these engagements the Corporate Programme Manager will be responsible for:
- Systems management of the Social Impact Solution engagement process including but not limited to sign up forms, CRM oversight, sign up emails, event communications, and feedback forms
- Ensuring systems work smoothly and innovate with technology to improve systems as needed
- Developing bespoke reports as needed
- Regularly contributing to programme improvement and development
General
- Contribute to organisational discussions around long-term strategy

Role Summary
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to join the Causeway team. This person will be key in helping us to provide the safe and secure environments for the whole of Causeway. The role involves oversight of all Causeway facilities and ensuring Health & Safety practices are implemented and followed.
Responsibilities
• To work with accredited Health and Safety consultants to manage the health and safety and its implementation across Causeway properties and offices to ensure the welfare of staff, volunteers and service users.
• Line management of the Maintenance Coordinator and Facilities Administrator.
• To oversee the maintenance coordinators responsibility for planned and unplanned maintenance of properties, and their undertaking and/managing necessary works including repairs and improvements.
• To develop and maintain a planned approach to property maintenance and management that ensures standards are upheld.
• To liaise with and arrange work with landlords, where the necessary work being undertaken falls within their contractual obligations.
• To oversee internal health and safety and maintenance recording systems for all properties and to ensure all necessary works are actioned in a timely manner, working with the maintenance coordinator.
• To source suitable properties (accommodation or offices) to lease/rent when required ensuring they comply with contract stipulations and take a role in facilitating office/accommodation moves.
• To prepare and submit planning or HMO applications where necessary for change of use and/or refurbishment of properties.
• To set up and streamline maintenance contracts (e.g. gas/electricity/water/broadband etc), and to monitor and cap utility usage across properties (where needed and reasonable).
• To carry out and review health and safety assessments of the following aspects: (or to discharge the responsibility of these assessments when required)
- Accommodations and offices on a frequent basis to ensure properties are being maintained and run in accordance with sector and statutory guidelines.

RABI’s grants empower farming people to become financially resilient, so short-term monetary problems don’t create negative life-changing impacts. Their mental health support builds emotional resilience to meet the many challenges that farming brings.
The Regional Manager’s responsibilities include the researching, developing and supporting local community fundraising across the region. Working closely with volunteers, county committees and local partners – developing, delivering and evaluating new initiatives to reach new audiences, grow support for RABI and make a difference for the farming community.
You will:
- Demonstrate relevant experience and proven track record within volunteering and community engagement / fundraising.
- Have a good understanding of volunteer motivations, with the ability to manage and work with volunteers and / or local communities.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, a clear and confident presentation style, and the ability to carry out public speaking, handling press / media enquiries and use of social media.
- Have strong project management and events experience.
- Have exceptional time management and highly developed organisational skills.
- Be IT literate – with good working knowledge of email, Word and Excel, as well as CRM and event management systems.
