Purpose of job:
Comic Relief are looking for a Production Assistant to join their Production Directorate of talented Storytellers, Producers and Creatives. The Production Directorate supports the rest of the organisation (namely, Strategy, Funding, Fundraising and Partnerships Departments) to deliver outstanding creative content, taking strategic briefs and helping bring them to life through creativity, authenticity, and compelling storytelling. Across multiple campaigns of varying sizes throughout the year, the Production Directorate ideates, produces, and delivers cross platform-content using the power of humour and popular culture to engage people to help others, to raise money to support organisations working towards a just world free from poverty.
The Production Assistant will be a key support role to the entire Production function. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, this role helps facilitate all Production needs, to enable the smooth and efficient delivery of outstanding creative content to both internal and external stakeholders. The Production Assistant will support with pre-production planning, scoping and logistics, maintaining workflows across the teams by keeping key internal systems updated. Supporting to keep the wider team functioning at optimum levels with administrative tasks and reporting to enhance and shape future capabilities. This role will support content delivery across broadcast, digital, social channels as well as copy and design.

Key responsibilities:
Production:
· Production logistics to include research and booking of travel, accommodation, call sheets and schedules for both UK and International recces and shoots
· Supporting with international Fixers, Producers and Directors
· Acquiring filming permissions and press accreditations
· Outsourcing kit for UK and International shoots and arranging hire/agreements
· Supporting with float & expenses (requesting float, reconciling float and credit cards)
· Maintaining production & edit schedules
· Managing consent forms (digital and hard copy) – logging, scanning, filing, and updating database with precision and accuracy
· Logging and processing music clearances (commercial and BBC Fastclear)
· Supporting with archive licences
· Supporting with content/asset management and updating database systems

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.
We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.
The Director of Income Generation & Partnerships, along with the Director of Services & Development, lead the organisation's small staff team to deliver vital services to an average of 500 people every year. The Director of Income Generation is a vital link in The Food Chain, ensuring income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of all our services and activities, and setting the organisation’s strategic direction for the achievement of our charitable purpose.
Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. We were founded by volunteers, and are proud that volunteers are still key to the deliver of our charitable services. The Food Chain family is vast - it’s not at all uncommon for us to be out fundraising and someone run up to us with a shout of “Food Chain! I volunteered for you in 1994!”
Position: Director of Income Generation & Partnerships
Responsible to: Board of Trustees
Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), core hours of 9.00am–5.30pm but flexible working hours will be considered.

Background to NCS ‘Open to All and Targeted’ Community Experiences
Through a Grant from NCS Trust, Groundwork South will be providing young people (aged 16-17 Years old) with year-round activities. These will be close to home and provide choice and flexibility to engage with up to 3 x 16-Hour Community Experiences. Each experience is designed to be fun and engaging and provide a breadth of learning and development opportunities. One of our key priorities is to increase the provision of our offer to underserved young people and learn more about what works for these groups.
Our Community Experiences aligns with the four key objectives:
- developing life skills and supporting independent living;
- building employability and work-readiness;
- providing opportunities for volunteering and social action;
- enabling social mixing of young people from all backgrounds.
Summary of role:
As the NCS Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of each Community Experience. You will lead and inspire cohorts of young people aged 16 to 17. You will be responsible for delivering Employability, Life Skills and Social Action sessions, coordinating programmes.
This is a fulfilling and challenging role where you will make a real impact on the lives of young people. As part of this role, you will need prior experience of working with young people and programme coordination and delivery. Whilst on the programme you will support and work closely with existing Groundwork provision, with staff in schools, colleges, and other local youth provision. The Youth Project Manager and the Team Leader will support you with coordination and delivery of NCS. This is a rewarding and demanding role, suitable for those with an enthusiasm for youth work, delivering impactful programmes and providing pastoral support for young people and reporting any safeguarding concerns to your Team Leader.
As the NCS Project Officer, you will be required to work the entire duration of one or more of the 16 Hour Community Experiences, work evening and weekends to support the delivery of NCS. The locations for NCS delivery will be either at Groundwork South offices or another venue, Travel flexibility is essential.

The role

The job
We’re looking for someone to wear two hats.
The first hat you’ll wear is that of a client lead. You’ll have full responsibility for the clients and projects that you and your team are working on. One day you might be working on ocean policy campaigns, helping technical clients adapt their language to make it engaging and influential, and in doing so helping to push the ocean agenda forward. The next you could be working with a not-for-profit, leading the creation of their brand identity, marketing strategy and overseeing the launch of their new website.
We’re on the hunt for a seasoned communications strategist and a creative campaigner. You’ll be someone who feels at home bringing your knowledge and experience to any communications challenge: from campaign strategy to brand strategy, from policy communications to digital marketing.
You should be a creative thinker, a problem solver, and someone who knows how to run projects profitably – and grow client relationships at the same time. You’ll be able to build relationships quickly, with clients and colleagues. You’ll spot mistakes, tactfully ask difficult questions, and tell us and our clients how to improve things.
The second hat you’ll wear is that of a new business lead. You’ll work with the CEO, Head of Strategy and other colleagues to identify, respond to, and win new business opportunities. We’re looking for someone who has directly relevant experience here – so you’ll have had experience in new business for an agency or consultancy, or have supported that function.
You’ll have experience responding to RFPs (and hopefully winning them – definitely tell us if you have a good hit rate), you’ll be excited by the idea of travelling abroad to give presentations to prospects and convert them to clients, and you’ll have ideas about how we can improve our marketing to generate more inbound leads. Where some see new business efforts as taxing and draining, you’ll be energised by it, and see new business as a game that is fun to play, and win.
Key skills and experience
The core things we are looking for are:
- Minimum 6 years experience, with at least three years in an equivalent agency setting
- Have communications expertise in creating stories, shaping narratives and social/policy campaigns and/or public affairs
- Experience and expertise in brand communications and/or strategy development
- Ability to produce creative and engaging communication materials: reports, websites, social media and print

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a BAM Counsellor to support our BAM Team.

Contract type: This is a fixed term full time role ending August 2025 with the potential for extension, at 32 hours per week as part of our 32-hour week pilot. This is due to be reviewed in March 2025 and may revert to 35 hours per week.
Becoming A Man (BAM) is a two-year school-based counselling and mentoring programme that guides young men as they learn, practice, and internalise social-emotional skills, make responsible decisions for their future, and become positive members of their school and community. BAM was first developed in Chicago by Youth Guidance in 2001 and has been validated by two randomised control trials, having shown long-term positive outcomes for young people. Since 2020, BAM has been delivered in six secondary schools across Lambeth and Islington by the Mental Health Foundation (MHF).
MHF is seeking a new Counsellor to join the team in continuing the programme across schools in Islington. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in partnership with teachers and school staff, effective leadership skills, and a background in youth engagement will be required.
What does the role involve?
· leading and facilitating four to five weekly BAM groups during the school-day, utilizing youth engagement, clinical counselling, Men’s Work, and Rites of Passage skills;
· collaborating with school administration, teachers, and other Mental Health Foundation programmes to provide and participate in professional development sessions.
Requirements
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
· The appointed person will be able to effectively engage diverse groups of young people in group activity and be proficient in recording confidential case notes in a timely manner.
· The appointed person will have lived experience of the issues encountered by BAM participants and/or proven experience of working in a therapeutic capacity with groups of young people.
